Shasta Pools & Spas, Mesa AZ

I am not giving five stars as our pool took much longer to install than we had originally been promised, was completed January 2021 when we had been told it would be completed in October 2020. However, knowing the challenges that came with covid we weren’t completely upset and for the most part the experience was pretty good. We are happy with our new pool.

Just like many other families in the valley we thought it was a great idea to build a pool to help entertain our kids/grandkids during the pandemic. Boy what a mistake! What we encountered were delays and frustration with lack of communication with pool manager. Then a change of pool manager was made. From the start Lindsey Magee started making things happen, her communication and honesty on the time line really made us feel better. I looked forward to her text or call each day. Also Ray Bazan was great on keeping us informed on each step. Both are very knowledgeable jobs and have great people skills. Our pool turned out just as we wanted it and look forward to many years of enjoyment with our grandkids. Thank you Lindsey and Ray for making a scary start to a very pleasant and happy project.

Hope to update this review in the end, but to date the communication and timeliness has been awful. We are using Shasta for the second time in five years. They are certainly not the cheapest, but the first experience was terrific. Communication through the whole process was over the top, quality of pool and equipment was top notch and they stayed pretty much on schedule. So, we signed the paperwork and put a down payment in August for a new pool. They said that it should be finished in November. We get an "update" call every few weeks with caller just saying that there is no update and we are not scheduled yet. Last week, had supervisor out for final inspection before dig was to start. He said that it would start this week and be done by the end of May (6 months late from original date given). Well it is Friday and nothing. Got a call yesterday saying we "are on the list" to start dig, but no date scheduled yet. Thoroughly disgusted and at this point would never recommend or do business with again. Again, I hope they can turn this experience around, but based on the last 6 months, I am extremely doubtful.

I purchased my pool through the builder. They were late with the build and almost cost us to move back our closing. The first two layouts of the pool were not even correct. It took days for someone to respond and I don't think that they would've responded if it weren't for our builder contacting them. Staff on the phone are rude and provide no support for after the pool build repairs. We have loose and cracked travertine that we paid for and they will not come and fix it. Run from this pool company.

James was very patient and extremely helpful with answering all my pool with spa combination questions. I will definitely be using them in the near future for my pool and spa needs.

Had a designer come. About a month or so later never heard back from Doug Hrach even after I left him a voicemail. This is a red flag for me for things to come so I’m dropping them!

Very pleased, love how I was always contacted to provide me with the latest updates. There was lots of communication which I love, I always knew exactly what steps of the process were taking place. The whole team was always quick to respond.

Steve Lucas arrived at my home within the designated time slot and repaired my automatic pool filler float within minutes and was gone. Very efficient.

Our experience with Shasta was fantastic. Our designer, Ron Camargo, met with us at our house and went through all of the selections and options in great detail. We also met with him at the showroom in Mesa a couple times. We're very grateful for the time that he spent with us, because he helped educate us not only on Shasta's product, but on many different pool choices. Ultimately, we decided on a different vendor but would choose them under different circumstances, for sure!

Shasta did an exceptional job, I trusted the process and could not be happier with the end result. From the top down this company stands out as someone I could trust and count on and they have not let me down for a moment.

We have had our pool for just over 2 years and we’ve had a couple little things go wrong. Things happen but how a company responds is what’s important and they’ve exceeded my expectations. They noticed the issues we had were reoccurring and had a supervisor call me. I explained the situation and they did everything to make it right. It’s nice to know that they listen to your problem and want to help you. The pool is very well built and their infloor cleaning system works great. We have done our routine maintenance as required and the pool still looks like new and gets used everyday in the summer. I would highly recommend them as your pool builder!

Everything was great through the whole process. The pool was installed within the specified time frame. There was total support and communication throughout the entire process.

Shasta provided fantastic service from the first design meeting through the final construction sign off on our pool. Even when issues came up, they responded to them promptly and to our complete sanctification. Would absolutely recommend them to anyone else looking for a new pool.

Great experience working with Shasta Pools. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. They all were very professional and were always here when they said they would be. Cleaned up after themselves after every project. Always kept us informed on what they were doing and going to do.

Shasta built our pool at the same time we built our house. What a great option! We lived 1200 miles away while both house & pool were being built. Kept us supplied with photos and emails every step of the way. Our pool is beautiful and was swim ready on the day we signed papers! A tiny bit cold.:)

If you are building a pool in Arizona, you have to use Shasta. From the design face to the finished product, the entire team was outstanding.

Dean helped us design our dream pool and listened to all our needs. He was professional throughout the entire process and was very knowledgeable of the equipment and options.

Caroline and Mark were instrumental in the completion of the project. Caroline was always available and kept us in the loop on all timing and scheduling. Mark was over at the house whenever something needed his attention and he went above and beyond to make sure the quality of the work was nothing less than the highest of standards.

Craig and Cindy got us up and running with the start up and Orientation.
They made it all very easy to learn and understand, offering their cell numbers for any follow-up whenever we would need it.

Go with Shasta, you will not find a better deal and you will not find a better group of people that treat your project with so much passion and attention like it was their own.

The whole pool experience was excellent especially the project manager Caroline Hernandez Her communications was flawless and very timely, keeping us up to date on all aspects of the pool installation.

Great experience! We started with James Arrowood as our designer and Phil as our contractor. We could not ask for a better crew and company. They helped us with a unique situation with not being in town and they made our experience seamless! Would highly recommend this company!
