Shish Kebab House of Tucson reviews
14Not my first visit. I’m very happy with this wonderful family business! Not outstanding but absolutely no complaints.
I'm not sure where trying to dine and have a halal meal should include an alcohol bar. Very disappointing as travler with family.
Good food, but honestly it was better before, I don't know if the owners changed, it's still good.but before it was better
The Lamb was just falling off the bone, everything was Very good. LOVE the rice. Server was professional very pleasant
Absolutely phenomenal food! The kafta kabab is delicious and the service/atmosphere is stellar. The best Jordanian food we've had in Tucson!
We were driving through and wanted some Mediterranean food. It was so good even our picky children enjoyed it!
The food was very good but portions were smaller than typical. The flavors were different from other middle eastern restaurants I've been to, so even some old favorites acquired an interesting new twist. The eggplant appetizer is excellent as is the baba ganoush.
Ive been coming here for years, but just dont do take out.
I ordered a falafel plate, it was $16.
They served the tiniest small amount of rice and hummus, ive never had this happen for dine in, its a ridiculous amount of food for so much money.
Food is very good, portions are now much smaller, service is better, if paying with credit card be ready for a surcharge
Food is ok. Nothing amazing. Let's start off with the problems,
I ordered the beef shawarma thinking that it would come from the vertical grill (authentic). They basically served me chopped cuts of cheap tenderloin that was stir fried and mixed with onions. It came with a side of hummus and rice.
I am not lying when I say it, the hummus and rice were in more quantity than the beef. The beef literally looked like a side, and not the main entree. And there wasn't even that much. Matter of fact, there was more onions than meat. The meat was completely buried with onions.
Lastly, this was a main entree, NOT an appetizer. And it cost $18. I have been to resturants where they offered more in their appetizers than this restaurant is offering in their MAIN ENTREE!
It is such a shame that this restaurant is applying the badge of the Middle East. Arabs are known for their generosity and hospitality, something that this restaurant lacks in.
This is a tiny little place with excellent middle-eastern style food. We ate delicious falafel and chicken kabobs. Definitely worth checking out!
Quiet, out of the way, great food, service, and atmosphere. Reasonable prices. I will go back
I decided to eat outside. Even though the restaurant didn't have a private outdoor eating area, the staff was still very courteous and attentive. This place has the most tastiest and affordable greek salad ever (add chicken). The bread was fresh and soft, the falafel came with a tahini-type sauce that was very tasty. I cannot think of anything bad to say about the food or the service. I would go back again and again.
Fantastic hole in the wall place. Food and service were wonderful. Will definitely go again when we are in Tucson.
