Sinkhole Campground reviews
11Had one of my best camping experiences ever here! My friends and I came to camp out for a few days, we were greeted by the sweetest camp host who was beyond generous, saw lots of pretty animals and went trout fishing at the lake just half a mile away! Caught a big one too Will definitely be coming back!
Great locations to access rim lakes.primitive forest service campground located approved fire rings, picnic tables at each the 26 sites. 2 loops (13 sites each). Outhouse at each loop.very clean and well maintained.south loop is reservible.north loop is not reservable.
Beautiful, quite and so relaxing. RV's parked on asphalt so not mudding in the rain that fell.
Just a great place.
Sharon the camp host is the best I have ever seen. She is so friendly and makes everyone feel like family. I will definitely go back to that campground because of Sharon.
Camp hosts not at all friendly/courteous. Beautiful area. Charge by the bag 4 trash. Traffic can be heard but not loud.
I was here last weekend and it was an amazing experience.there is water and restroom on site.
Great place, nice walk to Lake & clean Bathrooms. Even enjoyed the Wild Horse passing through. But there is highway noise!
Firstly, Camp Host Bud is very rude. I’ve been on camping trips since I was a child and I’ve never met camp hosts who actively harassed us day and night.
We had a large group (which never met the full capacity of the 3 spaces we reserved) and we did have difficulty figuring out the parking situation as people arrived at various times Friday night.
Instead of simply helping us figure out how to solve it, Bud yelled at us speculating that we had too many people (which wasn’t true, just too many cars) and said he’d call the sheriff (3 times) if we didn’t figure it out. Which we did. They continued to snoop the next morning-night, I guess trying to keep count of exactly how many people we had. It was 15 the first night and even less the second night Bud! He definitely had it out for us.
Also, the sites seemed small and close together.
Anyway if you do come here and need to figure out your parking situation, it seems like you can park overnight at the Visitors Center about 2 minutes up the road. We had no issues parking there. Avoid it though. We had much better times this year at Bear Canyon Lake and Cholla Campground at Roosevelt Lake.
Great location with exception to highway noise. But very close to willow springs lake. Great cellular signal.
Willow Springs Lake is great but Sinkhole Campground was closed, Came back Monday to check Campground and was rudely met by Campground host who yelled at us through open window to get out and don't come back. My wife has a compromised immune system. Will file complaint against terrible hosts with USDA-NFSM.
