Site Six Launch Ramp reviews
8Pretty dang good for a free ramp. Its a little tough the way it bottle necks at the top but not to bad. Also has trash bags on a roll like the paid ramps!
Plenty of room, fish cleaning stations… I’m novice to boat launching but from a guest prospective it was very nice.
It's too busy to launch and way too rocky and gross to have a beach day. We met some friends on the beach here and found dead fish, and bones and kids kept getting tied up in fishing lines that were just left there. It also stunk like dead fish, and it's too rocky to really hang out comfortably.
Free launch ramp
If the cops aren't preventing it go here just to observe. Otherwise, there is a nice fishing dock.
Good launch for big boats. Launch is 3 abreast. Crazy busy on weekends. Lots of parking.and yes, it is free!
Site 6 is a beautiful area for enjoying the sunset, the water, fishing, a picnic or a relaxing walk.
Much of the area is handicap accessible, including the parking lot porta-pot. There are public restrooms as well. The boat launch area is convenient and large. Bonus: it even has "loaner" life vests avaiable 24/7.
There are numerous fishing piers. The largest has ramp access, railings, roofing and lights at night.
The entire area has always been very clean when I have been there (which is very frequently).
Site 6 is one of my Daisy's favorite dog-walking places!
1st timer, great place! Easily accessible even for my bad ankle and two legs that aren't much better, should bring portable chair if you need or desire to sit while fishing or just enjoying the view. I actually caught a few smaller striped bass in a few hours of fishing, lots of good bites on worms its just harder to hook those little ones, I'm sure there are some good sized fish in there too.i love that the signage says open 24 hours and you can nightfish
