Skyline Medicine reviews
23Went to this office twice for well checks. The second time they charged me an additional "office visit" to "manage my condition" and get a refill for my prescription. My condition is high cholesterol. Their management of it, which needed an additional $100 charge on top of the well care charge of $125, consisted of reading my cholesterol level from the lab report and calling to advise me it was good. They don't even draw the blood - had to go to the lab for that. I spent a maximum of 10 minutes with the PA for which they charged $225. Additionally, I never saw the doctor in either visit, only the PA. It would be nice if the doctor took a minute to at least poke his head in and introduce himself to new patients.
I received the worst most inadequate care I or maybe anyone has ever received. Not only did they exacerbate my condition they then dropped me as a patient, because of my symptoms are messy. Don't throw up and/or bleed in the office, if you make a mess because of poor care.they will not longer see you, which may be a good thing.
UPDATE: June 2019
I’ve tried other doctors and always come back here. While they aren’t perfect this place is definitely where I prefer to come when I need a doctor or physician. Overall, I’d recommend this clinic over the others I’ve been to in this neighborhood.
I have been an established patient here for a few years now and didn't have any issues with this place until more recently. I have never had any issues with any of the doctors or nurses I've seen. The problem I'm having is the people who answer the phone and billing. I can't remember the last time I have been this frustrated with a business. Perhaps it's Obama Care that has fouled things up. All I know is that my two most recent insurance plans were supposed to be in network. I checked with the insurance provider prior to enrolling and each time was told this office was in network for the plan I selected.
Fast forward to after my wife and I had both been seen, we were billed as though we had no insurance. Then, told over the phone by billing we should have been covered by Skyline's billing office. Then, told they weren't sure.okay.
Fast forward again several months later with a totally different insurance provider and now I'm being told they don't accept my insurance. The problem here is my insurance says they are in-network for my plan.
Long story short - I liked my doctor, but can't stand the mess of an office staff I have had to deal with. They have been professional and nice over the phone but don't seem to know what's going on.
They don't care about you. They just want your money. There are better places to go than this location. However it is a good place for boomers to go.
Family Doctor, been using Dr Green since June 2018 been excellent. Listens and works with me now that I am retired and moved back to Arizona from east coast. Office is clean and easy to find using GPS in Mesa. The office staff and his assistants are all topnotch, professional, courteous and knowledgeable about their jobs.
I would recommend Dr Green to any one looking for an excellent General Practitioner.
I didn’t have a personal medical issue with Skyline. This is more of a patient care suggestion. My father was having some discomfort that needed to be addressed and referred to a specialty office for treatment. I called Skyline in the morning to have them send an order for him asap to get the procedure started. I was told the nurse was working on it. After a few hours with no callback, I called the office back. Again I was told she was working on it. This went on until 3: 00 pm, By this time my dad was still very uncomfortable. After several calls to their office and specialty office, the order was sent. Unfortunately their office closed at 5: 00pm which is when they got the order. Long story short. I think better communication with patients would be a great improvement. Call them back when their question or request is fulfilled. IF this would have been done we would have known that an attempt was made to get his orders done and his anxiety and discomfort could have been lessened. Just a quick call telling the patient what has been done.
Great doctors. Our family uses Stevan Thomas but all the doctors are really good. I like that I can go in early between 8: 00 and 9: 00am for sick visits without an appointment. They work well with my insurance and saved my bacon, literally, discovering my stage 4 kidney disease. Thank goodness they found it when they did.
If you don't mind seeing a PA I would recommend this place. Also the don't draw blood but the is a location within the same plaza does blood work. The PA's are very friendly and I feel like they listen and they are not rushing to get out of the room. I have been to Skyline about 6 times and the wait is approximately 20 min each time. Just a few min in the waiting room and about 15 minutes in a patient room waiting for the nurse. They also offer walk ins for things like migraine shots. Their hours are normal business hours M-TH and a half day on Friday.
I've been going to Skyline Medicine and Dr Kerry Green for over 15 years. I'm not sure what has happened to this place the the quality of services is on the decline. I needed a pre-authirzation form filled out for a prescription their office submitted for me. I call them to tell them this after receiving a call from the pharmacy telling me to contact my doctors office and tell them to contact my insurance carrier to get the form to complete. A lady on the phone named Pam decided she wanted to argue with me and tell me that the pharmacy would fax a denial to them. I had to explain to her four times that the pharmacy call me and said i need to contact my doctor as they do not do that. She transferred me to a medical assistant.
My issue is that the office no longer does blood draws in office but now sends it's patients to labcore or somewhere else for blood work (and blood draw). Long story short they replaced something that was convenient for something that is terrible. This was enough of a frustration that I will be looking for another office.
Great place if you're retired or a "snowbird"; however if you're younger and need realistic provider hours, this is not the place for you! They cater more towards retired clients and those who can afford to not work normal business hours.if you work Monday thru Friday, this is not the place for you.
As much as I truly respect and admire Dr. Green, Amanda Barrett -PA is without a doubt the finest, most professional caring and very concerned
over doing everything humanly possible to help me in such a graceful intelligent and pleasant way! With no offense to Dr. Green, I have long considered Mrs. Barrett the finest "Doctor" I have personally ever been to in my 72 years of Life and any and all Dr.and Hospital visits! ! So, in my personal opinion - - - - 5 Stars just "ain't enough! "
I like their walk-in hours in the early morning, I can get a quick diagnosis for the "usual" illnesses.
I scheduled an appt with one of the PAs after Being told by the office staff that they could remove a small but painful cyst on my index finger. I took time off work and when the MA came in she stated that they in fact DID NOT perform cyst removals and would refer me out. Of course they billed me and I refused to pay because it wasn’t my fault their staff was giving misleading information. My bill was for $200 might I add. A few weeks later I received the most unprofessional letter stating that because I wouldn’t pay them they no longer saw fit to keep me as a patient. Good riddins!
I could give a worse rating I would the stats a joke on the phone's the doctors are a joke they can't fix anything or help you
The front desk was very rude I think they were overwhelmed. The PA was not helpful at all had to go to a different practice who diagnosed correctly and gave a simple antibiotic that solved the problem.
Professional, kind and always willing to get things resolved.
They were proactive when I came in.
Went in on a Friday Dr. Thomas recommended a number of test, They called with the results on Saturday, I was in the hospital that day. Great people to make sure you are taken care of.
My first visit was today. I can't say how very pleased and how organized and competent everyone l spoke with were. Very refreshing after many of the years of so - so care. Heather was my P. A.and was the BEST so glad l followed my husbands advice.
Dr. Green & Sabrena Anderson are AWESOME! This has been my doctors office since 2004 and I love them! I drive all the way from Glendale to see them and it is always worth it! I would recommend this doctors office to anyone and I do! I am always made to feel like I am the most important person in the office at the time, which is wonderful. I don't ever feel rushed and nor talked down too.
Their attention to patient experience and use of technology make them great. Their patient staff never makes me feel HMO-rushed. I highly recommend Skyline.
