SmartStop Self Storage, Surprise AZ

I love the customer service but the price kept going up every 6 months which made it very expensive.

Lorenzo was very friendly and knowledgeable. Me and my spouse have been looking for a storage place here in surprise. We stopped by several other competitors and they were just so-so. Yes they had units available and most were clean, but none were as friendly as Lorenzo. He took the time to listen to what we wanted and answered every question we had. We have made our choice and will be renting with Lorenzo this week. I hope this company realizes how valuable a person like Lorenzo is to their organization. Especially in this day and age where some, if not most, dont care about what they do. Great job Lorenzo!

Had such a great experience reserving my unit here. Lorenzo was super helpful and informative. Followed up to make sure everything was taken care of even when I forgot to call back due to getting super busy. Michael was very kind, efficient and quick. Highly recommend

Website was easy to navigate and secure the unit I needed. Lorenzo verified my information and made sure I was comfortable with accessing and finding my particular unit. Facility is very clean and well lit. Plenty of carts and the elevator is quick.

Come in on morning of 12/31 gentlemen was very friendly and helpful. This was my first time renting a space and he walked me through process and even helped me get correct lock since I purchased the wrong one beforehand. Very friendly and kind. Thank you for making this experience easy for me.

Very easy to set set up. When showing up at property was very clean and they are very helpful. Would recommend to friends and family.

Overpriced, management are rude, every month the price goes up without any warning. Punch codes barely work right. Stay far away from this place

Place is super clean and staff is kind. It was easy for us to get the storage. So far so good. No complaints.

While the office worker and call center employees are nice, don't rent a unit from this company. They'll "review" your rate every 6 months to determine if they can increase rental rates. Ours just went up from $39/month to $71/month with only a 30 day notice. I called the call center to voice my displeasure and was advised a ticket would be put in. The District Manager called me and gave me the usual corporate fast-talk spiel on why rates were going up. Too focused on himself talking instead of listening to my concerns.

Got a 10x30 indoor unit today and had the pleasure of working with Lorenzo, he’s an awesome guy and was very helpful. Customer service was top notch. SmartStop don’t let this employee go, he’s a very good ambassador to your brand.

Lorenzo was such a help. After arriving with a car full of storage items, exhausted and hot. I wasn’t able to unlock my unit. I called the front office and Lorenzo was quick to come up and help me.

This place has gone downhill since the original manager left. We’ve moved our storage units out to a friendlier and less expensive facility. The District Manager is very rude when discussing why my rent went up. Wouldn’t give me the number to corporate office or any contact information. Severe anger issues.
