Hello SSAZ. I was referred by someone I know. It's been more than half a year and SSAZ won't pay the referral. The most recent explanation is that they're not paying referrals at this time. Sounds great, but you agreed to pay it both in the contract and in my email responses from my salesman. Do what you say. I certainly help up my end of the contract:)

Solar solutions AZ, used clamps without retaining pins or lock washer on their 2 part frames on my installation completed in 2021. The structure that 5 panels were attached to failed on a windy day. The clamps were bolted in place to hold the 2 part rod frames (4 rods total) to which the panels were attached to. In my opinion the clamps had vibrated loose over time and I explained to them that I strongly believe that this was the cause of the failure. The installation is covered by a 4 year warranty. When I called the company they told me it was an act of god right away when I called in to report the damage even before they even inspected my installation and damage. When I contacted the owner Sara Watson she told me that the reason it was an act of god is because if it was poor workmanship or design it would have failed during last years monsoons. I guess torque specifications have no use when it comes to massive wind sails on your roof? Again no retaining pins no “through” bolts for the rods which was an integral part of the structure making it very likely these clamps will loosen with vibration over time and will fail. Three of the four rods came loose from the clamps no scratches to the rod it was supposed to be clamped to, just slide out. The 4th rod remained in place but slides in and out of the fixture showing that the clamps were not tightened. A Washer is also missing on one of the bolts that clamps rods in place. I guess this washer was not needed? Then why use washers at all?

Also, after inspecting other structures on my roof I see signs of shoddy work, for example bolt not tighten fully on others structure not yet failed. When my system failed I felt they hid behind an “act of God” cause, asking me to go through my home owners insurance. I am still waiting for the official report and they are not responding to my emails or taking my claim seriously. I am losing money every day as my panels lay as a wreckage on my roof which damaged my AC duct work also. This is while they ignore my emails and my voice mail as they slow walk the tech report. I cannot recommend this company. I am considering hiring in a third party to check the installation as I feel it’s a matter of time other structure will fail over time due to poor design/poor workmanship.

We are very happy with our solar system installed by Solar Solutions. It has made a great difference in our electric bills, getting a credit from TEP for the first three months.
Installation was delayed for a few months due to high demand, but they kept us informed throughout. Once underway, installation was professional and prompt. I would recommend Solar Solutions to anyone.

Waiting over one year on my solar panels changed the cost on me and the time frame with little to no communication. Promised things like an electric car charging line and then increased the price stating that it wasn't in the quote. I will be going to BBB.

I purchased a solar system from Karl as initially he was the most responsive out of all the companies I contacted. That was the only positive thing out of the whole experience:
The day before the scheduled installation (already months behind) they let me know that the panels did not arrive. They were good a pointing fingers at the supplier, but took no responsibility for not keeping me informed.
They then pushed out the date again that they had actually breached the contract. I was forced to call them, but even then they screened my calls.
Finally got them installed, but now, only 7-8 months later, I lost 6 panels due to the storm. I called them but now they are refusing to replace them. It appears that the installation was not adequate. The contract clearly states that they are responsible.

If you are in the market for solar panels RUN! This company does not hold up their end of the catract and will leave you holding the bag.

I purchased my system back in 2020 and it worked great until I added 3 panels in 2022. During the next several months I lost about 3-months worth of solar production (it was just fixed hopefully for good in early April). Per the contract I am to be paid a certain amount for this lack of production. Although it took almost 4 months to get it, they did finally send me a check. If you use them, do not allow them to put up Solar Edge equipment.

I only have one issue with the owner's response. The first sentence makes it appear that I "focused on using a micro inverter system versus an optimized string inverter system. " I can guarantee you that was NOT the case. I simply asked for a solar solution for my home. The company picked which type, not me, nor did they offer me a range of options to choose from.

UPDATE: It's been over a year now since I added those three panels and the fact is that Solar Solutions AZ is not capable of making this system work. They send out people after people and it may work for a few days and then it fails again and again. This tells me that this company lacks the expertise to provide a fully running system. I therefore have no choice but to recommend that you avoid using this company. I will update this review if/when they ever get this system running properly.

Overall disappointed with the recent experience. Poor communication between the team and Dina e company they work with.

I initially contacted Solar Solution after receiving bids from two locally well known Solar companies and two National providers. I worked with Trace who was knowledgeable, professional, and had good follow up with the proposal. I decided to go with them based on the quality system they designed and the very competitive pricing that they offered. Due to their high sales volume and the popularity of Solar in Tucson, their initial start date was delayed. During the delay, their office staff led by Jocelyne was very good in keeping me apprised of any issues. When they actually began the install process, everything went smoothly and their install Team was prompt, knowledgeable, and neat. Their Finance Manager Jose Rodriguez was a pleasure to work with and took the extra time to answer any questions that came up during the process. We are pleased with American made panels and high quality micro inverters they used in our system. We would highly recommend Solar Solution to anyone looking for a new solar system for their home or business.

We closely evaluated numerous leading solar providers and selected Solar Solutions due to value, cost, professionalism and honesty. We are very pleased with the system and production, flexibility around contract issues and scheduling, and responsiveness to inquiries and complex questions before, during, and ongoing after the project.

Overall, the system works and is providing power nicely. The panels and power system would be a nice system if everything worked properly. If the install, service, and function worked like it should I would highly recommend this company. However, my system had issues with the install. Aside from the shoddy work that took multiple trips to fix, the way they've wired it seems to mean that it will not work with the app to track power consumption, so I'm unable to assess my real-time energy use like I should be able to. The install was finished almost 6 months after purchase, which was the limit of the contract. However, the install problems required four return trips before the system could be powered and function. This cost a month of power. Worse yet, after the install the company has been extremely unresponsive to my queries and it takes me significant prodding to get anything from the company. The representative told me that based on their experience I should get a few hundred-dollar refund for the delay of power up of the system, but they always say they'll call me back because somebody's not in the office that can approve it. I've been told I would be called back seven times now. I haven't been called back since the install. If you want a system that works, you'll probably get that from this company. If you want a company that supports you after your system is installed, you probably will not get that from this company based on my experience.

Update: Seven months since install and my system is working completely now with all features. It took a significant amount of follow up with Nick and the office, but it's working now.

Don't be fooled by Solar solutions TV ads. I kept it local but Promises were made Non of which happened. They were in breech of contact and when speaking to employees there is a complete break in communication between salesperson, field techs, and finance dept nobody on same page. 7 months later no panels lots of frustration. Save the headache

Pre-pandemic, I had considered going solar and Solar Solutions was one of my first options. After a couple of years of shopping around and educating myself on solar power, I ended up right where I started and Solar Solutions was my best bet. Jose was with us throughout the whole process and the whole team was very helpful, professional and great to work with. That had us installed, live and up and running sooner than I expected. I strongly recommend Solar Solutions if you are considering going Solar.
