This is a small park w unique spots. Joyce and those staying here for the winter make this place feel like home. If you want to be social…be social…evening fires, local trivia team (we won), lovely conversation, and kindness! If you want to keep to yourself…that is perfectly fine also. Having quick access to the National park (monument) makes the location perfect. I can’t wait to return to see what Joyce has come up with next. Would stay again when in the area!

You will love Joyce, owner/host. So very helpful. They have a social fire most nights. Located in Why, so close to the ogan pipe catus national park. Services close by.

Cute place! Very nice lady owns it. She provided us with a booklet to know what is around, and there is so much more than we realized. Wish we had time to stay longer, but we will be back!
They even left us a box of dog treats, which the girls will happily scarf down in no time. Thx!

I stayed here one night in early December to visit the Organ Pipe Cactus National Park. The location is perfect. Joyce, who runs the place is so kind and thoughtful and knows alot about the area. When we arrived she greeted us with Gatorades and a binder full of local attractions and restaurants. On our departure, she gave us iced coffee for the road. The spot we stayed in fit our 25 foot travel trailer, and had full hook ups. It was 40 bucks, which was a pretty good deal. I didn't book online or call, I just pulled in and she accommodated us. The folks who live there long term are very nice as well.

Loved this little campground, and Joyce, the hostess, is the best! Friendly, kind, informative and thoughtful. We rolled in without a reservation and she had space for us, just a warning for bigger rigs it is a little tight! By the time we pulled in we were committed:). Nice grounds, amazingly quiet for being so close to the road but once the border is closed for the night there is next to no traffic. Awoke to the roosters crowing. That was a cool throwback to childhood! Would highly recommend. Very reasonable rate of $30 a night. Looked like her weekly and monthly rates were great as well!

A great stop on my way to Puerto Penasco. The park has everything I needed, and the host is a truly good person that you want to succeed. I’ll be back every time I pass that way.

We stayed in a 25 ft Airstream trailer. The owner Joyce couldn't have been lovelier. She couldn't do enough to make your stay wonderful.

Oct 2023 - Trent camped here last night. No fly, clear sky, amazing stars all night through the ceiling screen. Joyce’s hospitality was top notch - 5 star plus plus.

Joyce is one of the most incredible people that you will meet! She went out of her way to ensure I was safe. I have a very specific mission, driving to Costa Rica, and she made my challenge her own, helping with my border crossing process. Everything was seamless with her inspiration behind it, and I really hope to see Joyce again in my future. See you in Costa Rica, Joyce!

Joyce is the most accommodating rv host we have had. She goes above and beyond to make sure her guests are happy. She even gave us some of her fresh home raised chicken eggs. She is a great resource for where to eat and what to see.

I camped here for three days. Joyce was very friendly and the park was clean and neat. The price was quite reasonable and the weather was perfect!
Thanks Joyce!

I had an amazing time at Joyce‘s campground and stayed longer than I had planned. She is the loveliest person, made me feel very welcome and pays great attention to detail. There are no showers yet on the campground but Joyce pointed several places out to me where I could take them. Her campground is the prettiest with a very clean restroom, so I was very happy with this solution. Thank you so much for everything, Joyce!

What an amazing place:) Joyce, the owner, does a wonderful job. I felt welcome right away. She creates a sense of community I appreciated and the people there were really nice. If she's doing a campfire, do go!:)

Great spot to start your vacation! Great service and even better communication.

Plus tech savvy so checking in with just a phone is huge for me.

I was on a last minute road trip and came across this gem of a campground and gem of a human who runs the campgrounds! Joyce welcomes with campfire and even had coffee in the morning (which made up for my own lack of preparation). If you find yourself nearby, don't ask Why, just go!

Sometimes (no, most of the time), my favorite campgrounds are the little ones - one person or couple owners, no corporations, totally unique to the place. Found this little gem as our first stop. Staying an extra day because of high winds. Owner is super nice with a cute Scottish accent. Sites aren't cramped. Cool murals. Nice dog run. The cactus garden was spectacular. Close to Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument.

We stayed here a couple nights. This was our first RV road experience and we learned what we needed for extra supplies. Our camp hostess was right there to greet us when we pulled in. That was our first clue that we would be treated well! It turns out we didn’t have enough sewer hose and she went to town and bought one for us to use. She was so friendly and helpful! I would highly recommend staying here. There is a community fire pit and she has flowers planted in the camp spots! The flowers were a nice treat coming from snow and cold in Northern Wyoming!

Our stay was only one night, but Joyce was right there to greet us when we pulled in. We didn’t have a long enough sewer hose (our first time out R’ving) and Joyce went to town and got an extension! She’s super friendly and helpful! We would definitely book here again!

I recently stayed at this RV park for a month. This is a small park, but is the best run RV park that I have ever stayed in. Joyce is constantly upgrading the facilities and amenities as it is a relatively new park. Campfires and pot luck events are weather dependent but a lot of fun. I don’t tow a vehicle with my RV, and there is free transportation between Why and Ajo five days a week. Joyce provides a substantial binder of information on things to do in the area, and there’s quite a lot. If you want a nice quiet place to stay, this is it!

This little campground, adjacent to the magnificent Organ Pipe N. M, is something special. The owner/manager, Joyce, is the reason. Guests are treated as ‘family’ - communal campfire most nights, pot luck dinners, fresh eggs from the coop out back, hot coffee and soup for weary boondockers, individual flower gardens, pet playground, etc. - and she eagerly assists guests in a myriad of ways to solve problems and maximize their enjoyment of this unique, remote desert.
Notably, Joyce is also heavily involved in charitable outreach services offering food, bedding and other services to the needy in the area.
Says it all about the person and the place!
