I had been a patient here ever since Dr. Szmuc joined their practice. Up until December of 2020 I was ok with everything since I am older and only need yearly check ups I continued to make the yearly 44 mile round trip however that has now ended after the debacle I experienced at my last appointment. I had scheduled my mammogram and bone density test for the same day but when I called back to confirm my appointment they said I couldn't have the bone density because the Dr.would not write the order due to my last test 2.5 years ago was normal. I went in for my mammogram and filled record request and was questioned why I needed my record's. After explaining everything I had my mammogram and left. I received a phone call an hour later stating I could have the details scan after all. I then called to confirm my appointment the day of my appointment only to be told again that I wasn't entitled to the scan due my previous one was normal even though Medicare allows one every 2 years. After writing 2 letters of concern without any response I will be seeking another physician who cares about all their patients even those who are past child bearing age and are not the large revenues that OB brings to their practice. I was an oob/gyn office manager for over 15 years and would have been appalled had any of our older patients been treated in this manner. I will NOT be returning and if you are past having babies I would recommend finding a facility that cares about all their patients!

Pregnant with our second child and looking for a new obstetrician. The front office is friendly in person, but impossible to get ahold of by phone. When I had my first appointment with Dr. Alperin, he spoke extensively of how they were well-known for their customer service and availability, unfortunately that has not been my experience. We had an initial visit to check vitals and confirm the pregnancy, and then had blood drawn.

This was my first time as their patient, and my first bloodwork. The next day, I received a call stating that my progesterone levels were slightly low and so they were issuing a suppository supplement. When I spoke with the pharmacist, they informed me that it was a yam-based supplement.

Wild yam is not a source of progesterone and is not approved by the FDA to treat low progesterone levels. It is recommended that pregnant women avoid wild yam altogether. Not only did the office not discuss this with me nor give me any options, they also did not share my lab results with me or advise how low my levels were other than "slightly". They do not know me as a patient, or my history of hormone levels, and so I am concerned that these decisions were made after one visit and one lab. I will be looking into other options.

Had an appointment with physician’s assistant Rachel Cushman yesterday. The receptionists were very friendly but I had a bad experience in the exam room. She must be fresh out of school or something because she was not very knowledgeable on my condition and questioned the dosage of a medication Ive been on for years. Her bedside manner was bad; I felt like I was annoying her and she ended my appointment really quickly. She also called in the wrong dose to my pharmacy. What a waste of time and copay money; I will be looking for a new healthcare provider.

Dr. Alperin and his MA Sarah have been amazing throughout my high risk pregnancy. I'm so grateful to have Dr. Alperin as our doctor and to know we have someone who truly cares on our side.

I went to this office for three years, struggling with my period and constant pains. After a couple of the same ultra sounds they always told me it was just a difficult period and continued to change my birth control. After moving to Florida for a few months, I saw a doctor out there. This doctor did the same ultra sound and found nothing but decided to keep looking into it. He did an ultra sound with contrast and he couldn’t even get the contrast tube into the cervix. They found a mass attached to my cervix in my uterus. The doctor said the mass must have been growing for years. They had to check it for cancer (was benign). These doctors give you barely any time, always on to the next patient. The bedside manner struggles with a few of the doctors. Please do not waste your time and your health coming here.

Today was my first prenatal appointment with Dr. Reynoso at the Tempe location. I was recommended by my fertility doctor and want to deliver at Banner Desert. I have to admit, I scheduled my appointment and then saw some not so positive reviews on Dr. Reynoso and became very skeptical. I almost canceled my appointment because I am overly sensitive and pregnancy hormones really don't help (I cried all the way to my appointment worried that the reviews I read were true).

I AM SO GLAD I WENT.

From the moment I walked in and was greeted by their friendly front office staff, to meeting Laura and being reassured that she would stick by my side during the entire pregnancy and just generally feeling comfortable, I was still very nervous to meet my new doctor. 2020 has been an interesting year, I'm not used to not being able to bring my husband with me for prenatal appointments and I feel it is harder to get to know someone's personality with a mask on. To my surprise, Dr Reynoso had incredible bedside manner. She introduced herself with a smile that I could see through her mask. She was kind and compassionate, I felt listened to, I wasn't rushed, she was detailed and answered all my questions. I felt like the only patient in the office, it was as if I had been working with her for years and years. I am sad to hear that she will no longer be at the practice after October, but I surely didn't want her patient care to go unnoticed.

I am excited and at ease going through my pregnancy with your practice. Dr. Reynoso, Laura and the entire front office staff were phenomenal. I really cannot thank you enough for the incredible experience I had today. I am so glad I went to my appointment and look forward to all future appointments. I will be recommending all my family and friends to Southwest Contemporary Women's Care.

I am surprised to see so many negative reviews about the office staff here! I was due for a procedure and scheduled an appointment at Maricopa OBGYN, which is where I have previously gone. They called me the day before my appointment to tell me they no longer accept my insurance. I found Southwest Contemporary through my insurance plan. I was able to speak with Jessica to schedule my appointment and she was very thorough with checking on my insurance and compassionate in regards to my situation. She followed up with me multiple times to make sure she had all my info correct and was able to get me in for an appointment fairly quickly. I hope the rest of the team here is as helpful as she was! I will update after my appointment.

I'm honestly surprised by the bad reviews. Ive always had a great service from my doctor here. Been going here for a few years and always seen at my apt time and have not had any billing issues.

I had a great first impression of this office and the wonderful staff that is very helpful. And the Dr. Reynoso was such a great person to meet she answered all my questions and made me feel super comfortable. I’m looking forward to many more visits

Hands down the worst referral I have ever received. I was told my first visit would be my procedure, I got there provided my information and paid my copay only to meet with someone for 5 mins and told to schedule a time to do my procedure, like what was the point of that visit. Trying to schedule an appointment and coordinate with bodily functions is horrible. Every single person is rude and unhelpful. It’s been 4 months since my initial referral and I’m still waiting to get in. If you are referred here I would request another facility, 100% not worth the horrible customer service.

I've always had a great experience with Patrica. But recently needed to be seen and was told only Dawn was available. She was just flat out awful at her job. Did an exam very quickly and rushed me out the door without answering any questions or talking to me to get a full diagnosis. I have been waiting a week for my results so that I can get my health issue resolved. But nothing. Was told it would only take 4 days. It's been 7. I still am in discomfort and very frustrated with the care I received. Patrica has always done a wonderful job, so it's surprising that these two work in the same office.

I was belittled by the doctor who said my past high risk pregnancies and miscarriages did not make my current pregnancy high risk. After bleeding and cramps, I was continually forwarded to a VOICEMAIL to wait for a triage nurse to call me back. I would expect health care professionals to actually care about their patients health. The office manager called to apologize for the way I’ve been treated and assured me that is not what their company stood for. I was promised next day results for my blood work and after calling multiple times, their office finally called me back at 4: 59 when they closed at 5: 00. I didn’t get my results until I called them 2 days later. How petty could you be? Terrible experience, I wouldn’t recommend anyone here. Please, run far away!

I've gone here all 3 times being pregnant. Dr damore is my favorite. I can't say the same for the other doctors or staff. I'm pretty specific when it comes to going to someone I'm comfortable with. The ultrasound lady is chill. She's just doing her job and she's good at it. I hate seeing all the bad reviews. Some people can be petty lol.

I just received a phone call from their office informing me that I could not be seen at my appointment, scheduled tomorrow at 9: 00 AM, because I did not turn in a referral from my primary doctor. That's interesting to me because when I arrived for my first appointment, I was sent home and rescheduled due to not bringing my referral from the emergency room. I arrived at my second appointment with said referral, waited 50 minutes to be seen for 10 minutes and rescheduled again for an ultrasound (that according to them, they had no right to schedule in the first place considering there was no referral). Obviously, this medical practice has no organisational skills, nor manners, morals, or respect. Places like these are the exact reason healthcare in America is a horrible joke.

I have been going to this office for over 10 years and have always had great experience with the care and service I've received, but after I got screwed by their billing department I'm considering looking for another provider. I went in for my wellness check in March, which has always been fully covered under preventative services by my insurance carrier. When I received the bill it said I still owed a substantial amount of money. Since I have two insurance carriers and I've never had to pay anything out-of-pocket for the same services before, I waited until I received the next monthly statement to make sure the insurance payments had all been fully applied. The bill showed no change, so I called the office and got voicemail. I left a message asking them to please make sure that both insurance carriers had been billed and that the remaining balance showing due was accurate. I finally received a very curt and abrupt response – several days later by voicemail - saying that the correct insurance had been applied; but the caller gave no details whatsoever. I called back a few times trying to reach a live person, but before I was able to actually talk to anyone I received a bill from a Collections agency for the charges “due”. I couldn't believe they had actually sent me to collections after only 60 days when I had already contacted them and was still trying to confirm and resolve the accuracy of the billing. I paid the full amount immediately, even though I knew it was most likely wrong. Then, to top it all off, within a week I received an adjusted claim summary from the insurance company with a reduced out-of-pocket amount owed by me. So, of course I had overpaid Southwest Contemporary Women’s Care. That was almost 90 days ago and I have still not received any reimbursement for the amount they overcharged me. Since I can't in turn send them to collections, I have to resort to leaving this review, which I have never done before. What a sham - and a shame - that the integrity and policy of the billing department doesn't match up to the service I have always received from the medical staff.

I've never had an issue getting in with my Doc. He is the best. The receptionists are nice they always try to get me back on time and I'm usually not waiting too long. Loved all the nurses and ultrasound techs they were so nice made me feel so comfortable, since it was my first time ever getting one. She explained as much as she could to be and made me feel so much better. I highly reccomed this place.

Courtney Dominquez and the staff rock! I went for my annual mammography and unfortunately it came back showing some calcifications.which turned out to be cancerous. Their office handled everything for me.right down to recommending Dr. Cotesi as my surgeon, who I also love. I feel very fortunate for their attention to detail.and taking care of the details during a difficult time!

I would not recommend getting an ultra sound there. Usually its exciting but thr lady was grumpy, barley talked and when i asled a question she ignored me or said hangon im trying to get measurements. It was not a fun experience at all.
