Cable Company Sparklight reviews
15I have ongoing issues with connection of my DIRECTV streaming account to the network. However, to be fair, it may be my router which is an older unit.
Moved to Sparklight from Frontier due to reliability and quality issues. Glad we made the change. Much better.
Sparklight has provided Y-Fi services in Lakeside AZ to many of the RV owners at Rainbow Forest. Their agent has installed their equipment in a very efficient manner and without any follow on issues. Many thanks,
We're a new customer and so far its been great. From the install to great customer service.
Started service today. Was excited to have a reliable internet service. But the exact opposite. The modem doesn't work. "CONNECTED WITHOUT INTERNET" what good does that do for me. Now I have to wait a week for a technician to come out. Why pay for something I don't even get.
Sparklight provides great customer service. They answer your questions and problems solve to get you squared away.
We are a new business trying to set up our internet & phone with no idea on where to start & the technician Hunter met us at our shop yesterday. He had great customer service & spent a significant amount of time trying to set up internet in our building, as well as explain the difficulties they often face working on these older buildings. He was very kind, patient & we even shared some good conversations about life. Happy to know there's nice folks out there like Hunter always wanting to help. Thanks, Hunter & thanks, Sparklight for great customer service!
They are the only cable internet game in town, and they know it. Every time I have to interact with them I am reminded that the service is not on par with the exceptionally high fees I pay to have moderately reliable internet. It's better than dial up or DSL. I will give it that. I do like that I get the privilege of paying a $10 "Self Service" fee for doing the work myself instead of the $30 fee for a tech to come do it for me. That is a bold move, Sparklight. I hope my car dealer doesn't catch on to this, I'd hate to pay a self service fee for fixing my own vehicle.
Got Sparklight today. We were told to go to Show Low before 1pm to pick up the equipment. Got there at 1230pm, they were closed. The two guys that were there, obviously didn't know how to do anything but eat. Once again customer service is non existence.
Thank God for the guy in Phoenix.
I've generally been delighted with CableOne/Sparklight's onsite service, until December, when the tech who set up the streaming service told us almost nothing about how to work the system. We're still probably missing out on most of the bells & whistles we're paying for.
Far worse, though, is the streaming service itself - tiling, hitching buffering, useless "Something went wrong" and lost signal messages, PBS in particular constantly going out, Firestick needing regular rebooting, blank screen, gray screen, black screen. I could go on. And the online tech support is ludicrous - very shortly after we got streaming and what turned out to be a screensaver showed up with nothing onscreen to explain how to get out of it, Tech Support actually said my modem (installed by Sparklight a week or two previously) was messed up and I'd have to fix it myself. Thank heavens I hung up. I have since become my own onsite tech, which is totally not what I'm paying for. Customer for over 30 years, but Sparklight is hanging by a thread in this house.
Sparklink in General is ridiculous, we are from out of town. Sparklink’s equipment they provided stopped working at home so we called and they said the earliest they could come out was days away, mind you we explained we have someone who works from home and that it is a source of income for our family. They didn’t care and said you could travel two hour to get a modem, it is open until 1 and you can pick one up from there. We did because this equipment is important. We got there at 11: 30am the sign on the door said “closed”. We called customer service again and waited an hour at the location. Customers service said “all we can do is schedule an appointment for the location and you can drive back another day”. Now we’ve lost money by not being able to work, wasting gas and wasting time. No compensation, no apology. They literally don’t care about their customers.
The Sparklight internet is fine, but their internet television through Amazon fire sticks is horrible. Slow, sluggish and aggravating. Very disappointing.
Quite costly. The interface of cable TV with laptop or other devices is very awkward, hard to use, and sometimes unusable.
Sparklight TV Service is the absolute worst. 3 months of constant buffering, be-bop-boop. Video player not working.poorly executed service, known problem by sparklight for over 3 months. Do not buy.
Great most of the time but still have so much buffering it is difficult to enjoy the program.
