Spectra West Apartments, Glendale AZ

Ruby works hard to maintain the community. As with any apartment complex it takes the entire community to make a positive impact. Kudos to the residents that are working hard on making this a great place to call home. The move in special I was offered was fantastic and allowed me to move in with very little down. I appreciate the staff here.

STOP PROTECTING THOSE DRUG USERS! I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THE COCKROACHES BUT THOSE WORST PEOPLE WHO LIVE THERE! DO SOMETHING FOR THEM!

Spectra West has a high rating but don't trust it. Yes, I lived for a year into this place just to make the most of my deposit since I know they dont give you back your deposit even if you leave the room clean and no damage.

This place is not really safe. A lot of bad people live here. They are noisy, everyday I hear playing music so loud day and night! You will hear gun shots near by, homeless people can easily enter. My car got a lot of dents. Some neighborhoods have no respect they are too loud special mention to the man who always walks around while carrying his big speaker to play a god dam music, Scariest thing I experienced in this place stranger people knocking on my door. This place is scary and terrible. For me, Spectra is protecting these drug addicts even though they violate their rules they are still there. I e-mailed Spectra several times, reported about these people hoping that Spectra would do some action but they don't really care about it.

Even if there is a roving security they are not always there to protect you they wont guarantee your safety. They are just there but cannot really do anything about those people around you.

"If you have children don't take a risk to move here this is not safe for your kids"

They need a different property manager in this place. This Alex guy has got to go.not only have I had bad experience w him iv heard from others the same problems. I was denied for criminal background. I DONT HAVE CRIMINAL BACKGROUND. IM NOT EVEN A FELON. I SENT PROOF AND EXPLAINED. I was told he would get back to me that day after he went over it w his manager. Never got a call so I called him mind u this was after almost a week of after applying. He told me he hasn't gotten it to his manager and he'd get back to me tomorrow so tomorrow rolls by I waited till 4: 38 and called him again he said tomorrow hes waiting on manager i said u keep saying tomorrow tomorrow well I applied last week he said no I don't I said yes u do how can I reach ur manager he said on this same number ok does she have an email yes its the same one they both use. So I emailed her and said i would like for her to call me back and explained what was going on. He called me right after and said I was denied still didn't tell me why or anything. I tried calling back to find out why and no answer still no call from ruby I doubt she even read my email.so obviously I'm gonna have to go in to get some answers because I definitely don't have criminal background. Never had this problem ever.

New owners are trying to make this place better that's good but the neighborhood is a high crime area, drug addicts, homeless addicts. Not safe by all means I would not put a family in this area. Update the apartments are now painted and the inside of the apartments have all new appliances and cabinets and doors and flooring. And the rent is high. They no longer are utilities included. That's okay but the area hasn't changed. Still a highly crime area, gangs, drugs, homeless the streets have trash thrown everywhere. Update great place to live now.the area is better Glendale PD has been working hard to maintain crime and removing homeless drug attacks the apartments have done an amazing job to give us a nice home. I highly recommended these apartment as great to live and great for families.

The managers in the office are very nice and helpful the units are very nice the community is very clean very clean.

I've lived in a few apartments before here, and this is the longest I've stayed at one location. This is partly due to how great management is and how well the workers do their job.

Terrible place to live prices are ridiculous and water and air conditioning having problems. Too many homeless passing by and knocking for no reason and giving people problems. Not a safe environment espically if you have kids. Drug Addicts also live here and let other homeless get in the pool very disgusting.

No comment at this point make sure you keep receipts and documents upon living here every notation of any maintenance or issues.

This place isn't the worst place to stay but it's not like the best either. Ever since the management came into the picture the place really improved. They even added a little pet park which is cool! The only downsides to it were the laundry mat area was never taken cared of either the machines were broken or not cleaned. Also when the summertime comes around that's when cockroaches like to come in and hide. Also the area isn't the best, cops are always seen in or around. There's alot of stray cats there which is really sad they don't have a home for them: (

I've lived in this complex for almost two years, and will be renewing my lease for the following reasons: Spectra West Apartments is a clean quiet complex, which is conveniently located, and a nice safe place to call home. In my opinion, they're doing a great job on keeping out all of the unsavory individuals and their Riff Raff. The current renovations of the property appears very promising. Management is easy to work with from renting units to resolving issues; each time I've ever had a maintenance issue, Rick has always resolved the matter, immediately, to which I am grateful. He's very knowledgeable, as well as polite and very professional.
