Speed's Hangar Deli reviews
17A visit to Speed's was on my Christmas wish list and my wish was granted today. The toughest thing about Speed's is deciding which sandwich to have. Today it was the Stormavik. OMG it was good. Thanks and Merry Christmas!
If you're going to lock your doors at 340 don't advertise that your Open until 4
Sandwich was good. Not bad, not great. Definitely not worth the condescension and judginess. You get barred at the door and asked your vaccination status. Even now after the entire country has moved beyond the covid freakout. If I hadn't been meeting someone there already I would've walked away. Note: I am vaccinated but I still resent the preachiness.
They will not let you in unless vaccinated. This, after all we know about the ineffectual nature of the vaccines in stopping infection and spread. We walked away without buying food.
All my meat was burnt, owner was kinda not happy to be working and irritated. Way expensive 11.99 is pricey for burnt, fed it to my dog he gave it 5 stars. I'll give it another shot though, could if been she was having a bad day.
I was asked if I was vaccinated, told the gal that I'm not, and she refused to let me inside in 95 degree heat. Waited a very long time for my sandwich that seemed to be really overpriced. I won't be going back. Lady wasn't very kind when I told her I'm not vaccinated. Extremely off putting.: (
Really solid sandwiches. Owner was helpful and managed a 6 person order with a number of modifications.
Portions are large and a lot of stuff is made in-house.
Come hungry, prices are a bit higher than at places like firehouse or subway but you're also getting a much better sandwich.
As for the menu there must be at least 20 or more different types of sandwiches and I've tried most of them, I can't say I've had a bad sandwich. The owner is incredibly friendly and if something is wrong she'll fix it without any problems.
Good sandwhich. It looks like one lady runs the whole show. She seems like a hard worker, also pretty friendly.
Owner has a bad attitude just call you'll see. Speaks in a very demeaning manner. Also owner is requiring you have your vaccines to enter shop. Like the food it's decent not great but the service and the tone is always the same. Been here multiple times thinking maybe she was having a bad day and it's always the same condescending attitude. Will not be returning to be treated like that. Prescott is a nice area and there's no need for that type of behavior especially when the food is subpar compared to a real deli.
It's one of the best restaurants in Prescott! It totally recommend the B-17 It's so good!
I love a good deli, but Speeds disappoints. We rarely eat out when we drive into town to shop, so we try to choose wisely. We approached the entrance, there was a table blocking the door, then owner came to door and seemed bothered to have a customer and was not welcoming. She was snappy and mentioned she doesn't want to catch Covid, in a condescending way. We continued to order, although I could tell my husband wanted to leave. The order was ready within 5 minutes, but the quality, just isn't there.
Took my grandparents who were from out of town here and we all agreed they were the best sandwiches we've had in a while! The Fat Man was exceptional.
They claim to support veterans and first responders. Then you take a look around at the sort of things hanging up. Yeah, no way. Not a business that deserves to be in Prescott.
Excellent. The meat on the sandwich was piled high. Extremely fresh tasting. Food can be ordered in advance to pick up. There is no dining room area. The owner is very friendly, and loves her customers.
Had the maurader not knowing what to expect and it was delicious. Only came with one piece of bacon tho.
I'm not normally a sandwich man but my god do they have it going on down here. Not only are the names of the sandwiches an awesome nod to the beauty of world war two war birds but the sandwiches match the raw power of those birds. Hands down has to be the best meatball sub I have ever had 10/10 if you don't stop here you are truly missing out
