Spiga Cucina Italiana reviews
17Overpriced Italian food. Service took a long time. Flavors weren’t bad. Not the best, but good for a last minute celebration dinner for example.
All 4 dishes we got were extremely bland and flavourless. Very disappointed after having wanting to get a reservation here for so long. Service was decent but felt a little rushed and not too attentive.
Was expecting better given the 4.6 overall rating. In looking through the reviews appears a management change has resulted in lower quality food. Our service was good even though there were a bit under-staffed the evening we visited. Wine selection was about what you would expect typical names at 3-4x markup, but mostly recent vintages. Restaurant has a nice vibe and an expansive patio. But the food was bland and of poor quality. After trying a few apps, a pizza and a couple of pastas, we gave up, drank our wine and just enjoyed the space. Cannot recommend it.
We had high hopes for this restaurant. Unfortunately the food was only okay. The overall taste of the food was a little bland and the flavor was just off. The prices were not cheap. I don’t think we would return.
I’ve been all over the world and eaten food everywhere this food is exquisite the hospitality was A+ had the most best time with my friend oh by the way the cosmos are FABULOUS… thank you for a lovely time
My husband and I had another delightful dinner at Spiga Cucina Italiana. We live in Ohio but dine at Spigia Cucina Italiana every time we’re in Scottsdale. Alexandra was our very efficient and helpful server. We shared the Panzalla salad and the Vitelli Marsala Tarfufata, an incredibly delicious veal and mushroom dish with fabulous sautéed veggies and fingerling.potatoes. Perfection! We also shared the most incredible tiramisu ever. It was a Tuesday night at 7: 15 and the restaurant was packed so definitely make a reservation if you would like an incredible meal at this restaurant!
Fabulous service, incredible food & great dining experience. Would highly recommend! Lots of delicious items on the menu. Expansive wine list.
One of the best true Italian restaurants we've been to in Scottsdale, and it's only a seconds away from the skin studio (in the Citadel). The ravioli and pasta was fresh and delicious, beautiful environment, and great service. We will definitely be back!
If you like octopus, you must try their grilled octopus appetizer. Their meatballs are excellant too.
I've been back several times over the years and I'm delighted every time. You can't go wrong here.
Atmosphere was beautiful love how you did the booths. Food was excellent my raviolis were amazing sauce was delicious even like cappuccino was delicious I will be back again and I will tell all my friends. Service was excellent.
Quality food and great atmosphere. The only BUT is that we did not get an authentic Italian taste to our meals. Quality ingredients and nice food.
I thought this place would be much better given the reviews. Our waiter was honestly the reason our experience wasn't very good. The moment he came to our table he wasn't warm at all and it took the man for forever to take our order. We sat for about 20 minutes after getting our drinks before he finally did take our order, and that was mainly because I flagged him down. Our food then took FOREVER to come; the table sitting behind us got theirs before us despite sitting down 15 - 20 minutes after us. Never once did our server come by to check on us, let us know our food would be out soon.he wasn't personable at all. The food was decent, nothing spectacular. We also didn't get any bread like every other table did. Not that it's a huge deal but still. Atmosphere was nice, restaurant itself is huge and spacious but service? Absolutely terrible.
This used to be a fabulous restaurant. With the new ownership you can see they are starting to cut back on quality. We’ve been here twice in 2 weeks and the dinners have been mediocre. Fried calamari tasted like frozen out of the bag, bread was stale (not offered 2nd visit) and pizza had a whisper of ingredients. Such a shame we used to come here all the time as we just live down the street.
A couple of weeks ago I had a luncheon at Spiga Cucina Italiana for 35 people. The event was planned out a couple of months before time, seating arrangements and menu. Everything worked out perfectly, the setting was wonderful. The food and choices that were recommended were all enjoyed by everyone. I only received compliments from my guests on the food and the service. The entire staff handled everything very professional, and you felt like they really cared about making the lunch very successful and special, which they did. Working with Denise (one of the owners) was a very delightful and pleasant experience. I’d recommend you go to Spiga’s for the food and service, even if you’re not planning a large party. Well worth the money.
The food and atmosphere is amazing. Hands down the service was the best part. Bryan really made sure our evening was special and was so extremely nice, can not thank him enough!
Went for happy hour, charcutier was great, offering two sizes of wine portions, nice. NOISE LEVEL was horrendous, not the place to meet if you want to enjoy conversations with friends without feeling like you are screaming.acoustically challanging.and for this reason, I would not return.can't imagine trying to have a quiet dinner there.
Ordered the mussels and they were a bit undercooked with the wine sauce weak on flavor.
The real issue was the service or lack of it despite our servers arrogent attitude. This was our first visit and more than likely our last. There are other places serving better food and with stellar service. Lessons learned, despite speaking with the manager who seemed clueless.
