DO NOT travel with spirit! It was my first and definitely the last time. It's not only cheap tickets it's cheap in every way you can think of customer service, planes, planing and shipping! They lost my back and were not able to track it instead of telling me what's going on they gave me execuses like maybe it was left behind, maybe it was shipped on another plane or maybe they just lost it! I tried calling, emailing and even went to the airport and got nothing then I didn't receive my bag until 5 days later when it was too late ‍️

It would be better to spend more money on a different airline. They don’t assign your seats so if you want to sit with the person you are flying with you have to ask someone else if they would be willing to switch with you. They charge for every thing on board including water. They also tried to charge us for our bags for both legs of the flight (one stop). When we called to try to correct it we spent four hours on hold waiting to get through to customer service. Then they fixed it but still put in the charge wrong. So we had to call them back and then they said we would have to wait to get the refund. I would never fly on Spirit Airlines again if I have other choices.

Bad service from Brianna in the check in desk, she was very rude just because we can't understand the language very well. She also told us that we could not carry luggage upstairs which is a lie, she had a very bad attitude.

We were not allowed to get in the airport because the president landed. But when he left and we were allowed in the airport spirit said they are done loading even tho the flight wasn't leaving for 45 min. They kept us there telling us the next flight is in 3 days and it's 99 a person fee. Until after a scene finally they said we could try to get in. We had 20 min to run across the airport and get thru security and get in. We barely made it with few min left. But sad how they didn't just let us go and cut us by 15 min we needed. Poorly ran.

HORRIBLE airline! If you are reading reviews before purchase a ticket my advice is, "Don't fly with Spirit".

Horrible airlines and customer service. They canceled 2 of my flights and caused me to have to buy another flight through delta airlines, $260 dollars extra I had to spend not to mention the $200 or so I spent on the tickets with spirit. Never book anything with this company.

Airline trips you off could have used American airlines for same price Started off costing 325.oo ended up costing 520.oo they charged extra fees for minor changes avoid using these RIP off artists us a airline worth the money and doesn't screw you for extra money

Oh i love having to come back 2X to get luggage because some jamoke can't communicate whether or not my wife's one bag WAS OR WASN'T put on the plane from Dallas.
We made it perfectly clear not to jerk our chains because we live over an hour from PHX.

RUN RUN FLY ELSEWHERE! DONT DO IT!

Not aloud the personal items by an awful employee. My family had to check three very small backpacks! Didn’t have there ID or personal things on the plane. They were charged $220 for the bags there flights were around $300. I reached out to customer service measured took pictures and they still are refusing a refund.

My lil cousin had to take her button up blouse off exposing her bra in the airport for this Spirit flight in front of a lot of men/people. They were not treated well and others with larger bags carried on! Absolutely no customer service. Pay more and save in the long run!

WORST Experiences! NEVER AGAIN. Spirit check in at airports only have a max of (2) two agents. Drop off bag lines are disrespectfully insane long. It doesn't matter if you did checked in a day before, come 2 hours ahead, one bag, and are about to lose your flight because their computing system bounces you to seek an agent. They won't prioritize nor help anybody, not even with 2 babies in arms. Update after flight: My two car seats are in limbo. Plus there's many people in the same situation with children and missing belongings. They don't have an idea where my seats are. WE CANNOT LEAVE the airport because I don't have my car seats.

The flight was fine. If your over 6 feet tall I recommend upgrading to the emergency isle. Well worth it. The reason for the one star is because I’m absolutely convinced that the Spirit employee at Baltimore airport never took the luggage I checked in to the plane. Let me back up and explain. I flew from Az to Baltimore (flying with Frontier) and I needed to check in a Microphone stand it didn’t have a bag but it was a heavy duty microphone stand. The Phoenix airport said no problem but you’ll have to sign a waiver if we loose it we’re not responsible I said thats fine because I need to try my best to get this mic stand to DC. So I signed the waiver and gentleman personally took the mic stand where it needed to go. Now fast fwrd to a couple days later I try to check the mic stand back on the plane at the Baltimore airport (FLYING WITH SPIRIT). Nothing but trouble from the start. They tell they can’t take it because it has no bag I explained that they took it the first time with no Issues and she’s insisting that they are not allowed to take it. After a few minutes of trying to reason with the lady I finally gave up and REQUESTED a Manager. She said it’s not going to make a difference but I’ll go talk to them. She leaves and comes back couple minutes later singing a different tune. She says we can check it in but you have to sign a waiver. I said sure. Because I have to try and get my stand back to Phoenix. No body personally dropped it off where it needs to go like Phoenix airport did. She rolled her eyes and sent me on my way.guess what? ! My $100 mic stand never showed up. So if your plan flying spirit think again. Especially if you like your luggage.

I was impressed maybe the airlines is learning from their mistakes. Spirit Air I should have flown with you dinner I’m sorry, not a five star but who would fly a one star that’s just a lie. Haven’t seen them on the news could it really be that bad? Skeptical yes worried yes but worth it, every penny it’s like Spirit understands America more than the other Airlines. If I was an employee I would get all the Spirit stock I can get. Spirit Air is taking off! ’

This airline doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I was told by incompetent customer service reps that my flight would be fully refunded if I had a medical excuse from my physician, which I did forward them, 5 times, with no response from spirit. Finally after a threat to file in court, did I get a response. Only to tell me they would not refund me. Sorry excuse for an airline and the incompetent people working there. Take your business to another airline. Pathetic.

I don't recommend this airline company to anyone. My luggage was torn and I reported it but because I was out of the reporting window by a few minutes all I got was a $50 voucher. The flight was delayed because of a caution warning because they didn't fully inspect the aircraft. Never again will I fly Spirit and I will let others know the same. Save your money and time and go to a more reputable Airline.

FIND ANOTHER AIRLINE. Expensive, no customer service, and spent 2 hours just trying to check in and get a boarding pass on line. On hold with customer service for over an hour. Not a single live person answered. Tried their text an agent option, still no boarding pass. Was forced to download their app and had to pay extra to get a seat on the flight I already over paid for. TOTAL RIP OFF!

Miss informing customer to miss flight and would not refund the money. I've waited at the gate for 1 hour and 30 min, and 20 min before the flight I see that flight is cancelled signed, so I walk up to an attendant at the gate and ask her "Is my flight cancelled? ". Without any confirmation she tells me that my flight is cancelled and that I need to go to front desk to get this resolved. So I take my 2 sons (11 and 9) and run to front desk to find that there are like 200 people lined up to get their ticketing issue cleared. They were yelling and bags throwing to since airline was telling them there is no flight going out same day. Then I realize that they are talking about different city, so I walk up to one of the personnel and she was telling me my flight to my destination city was not cancelled and whoever gave me that information made a mistake but she wouldn't do anything and tells me to go back and line up behind that 200 yelling people. So I again grab my 2 sons and run to the gate going through TSA security check the second time but plane left 10 min ago and I realize that cancellation was actually for next flight. I really had to get to my destination city and I couldn't wait with those 200 people to get my issue resolved with spirit, so I decided to take loss and buys one way ticket to my destination city leaving in 3 hours after this incident because going to my destination was more important than wasting my time to reclaim $500 back. After all this issue, I try to check in for my return flight and it wouldn't work online, so try to call customer service and I get that usual go around with recordings and prompts and nothing gets resolved. After 5 different phone calls, I finally get hold of real person, and she tells me that my flight is forfeited. It is forfeited (I am not even sure who's authority that it's forfeited) since I missed the going flight and I booked round trip it is automatically forfeited. They wouldn't try to reinstate my flight back home and they did not offer any other way but for me to buy their one way ticket at higher than online prices. I missed the first flight due to their attendant at the gate telling me to go to front desk without any confirmation when flight was not canceled but probably panicked that their other flight is cancelled. Attendant at the front desk wouldn't do anything to get my issue resolved although my flight was to leave in 10 min to get 200 mad people that they couldn't do anything about that day. So what service did I receive in this whole transaction from spirit airline that's worth $1000? That they are ok not to refund my money? I am not even mentioning extra money I had to pay to buy airline ticket at airport for 3 people to go to destination city and home. For your system, at least get system that notify customer when you cancel flight on your end.

Its the worst domestic airlines ever. Too much unprofessional stuffs in Phoenix, AZ. They wanted to charge for an empty bag even though it fitted in their size measurements. Just the wheels were off. Its a light EMPTY bag for gods sake. I would never recommend spirit from Dallas to Phoenix. And for sure couple of stuffs are racist
