Spur Cross Ranch Conservation reviews
7 I actually parked at the Jewel of the Creek Parking and hiked the Dragonfly Trail Loop and up onto Tortuga Trail and took a break at the Elephant Mountain Trail connection.
I currently parked in the Jewel of the Creek parking lot and walked around the Dragonfly trail circle and up to the Turtle trail and took a break at the connection to the Elephant Mountain trail.
A very easy, scenic hike. We did the Fairy Duster Trail which was a quick loop. Very scenic views of the wash and mountains, and endless saguaro cacti. Trail had many small, loose rocks and some erosion from rains but neither posed an issue. Would recommend this place for a fun hike!
Nice hike, though a bit wet. Only one bridge open and pretty sloppy in several places, but still worth the hike. Dragonfly trail/Tortuga loop a good moderate/easy hike. $3 Entry fee worth it.
Wonderful area, but you have to hike some, I heard the wildflowers are father up the trail.
This place is Gorgeous
Everybody working there was kind and considerate and it seemed like they all work hard to take care of it and it's guests
We LOVE the hikes here, BUT! We had to rescue someone that was from out of town, an elderly lady with no water! Please come prepared, the desert is beautiful but can be very dangerous! Two people have died on this trail four months ago… please don’t just wonder out with no water and no hat and wrong shoes. All is well that ends well we ended up giving the woman water & food and walking her towards the trail head where the Rangers, took over and rescued her.
Lots of varied hiking trails, from beginner to challenging. Early morning hikes tend to see a bit more wildlife, but critters are always possible!
