Squid Ink Sushi Bar - Peoria reviews
15Nice location. Friendly staff. Music was WAY too loud. We drove an hour to meet friends there only to hardly be able to Converse due to the volume of the DJ music.
Great sushi, atmosphere and service. Love the blueberry beer (Big Blue Van). Not the cheapest or most expensive.
I get the chicken teriyaki every time and there's never an ounce of fat that I bite into. I'm the pickiest eater ever and I've never been disappointed with this dish. Have gone to this sushi bar for thee BEST chicken teriyaki for at least 10 years now
I was looking for a good place to eat sushi and I read good things about this place. I am giving it 3 stars because the sushi is not so good. It has a lot of rice and I have to take some off so I can eat it all in one bite. The fish was fresh so big kudos for it. Atmosphere and servers were great!
I have never been so disappointed in a staff members behavior towards a customer. I left upset and completely discouraged about the situation.
Excellent dinner. Was a little busy but not as much as we thought on Super Bowl weekend. We got there before it got really busy. Always enjoyable food and atmosphere. Go doing 3-7pm for happy hour pricing.
Food was of good quality, however our appetizer arrived at the same time as the rest of our meals. Several hits at the front were not working together to get guests seated and actually got in each others way. Server was nice but not aware of environment. Food came and it took him 10 min to check on us. We had to wave down another server to get a fork, my wife cant use chopsticks. The unique drink at the top of the drink list with turmeric and ginger bitters was fantastic.
My husband says the sushi is the best around, and he loves the fresh wasabi. My daughter also really loves their salmon. For that, I give them 4 stars. For my fellow non-seafood eaters, 3 stars at best. The "filet mignon" in the yakisoba tasted like way over cooked and dried out strip steak, and the ramen is like eating spaghetti soup. Not the right kind of noodle at all that makes ramen ramen. Wague burger is good. Portion sizes are quite small for the price. Enough to fill you up, but I don't usually have leftovers and I don't eat a lot. Live music is nice, and it has a good vibe although it can get quite busy with long waits.
It was okay not sure I'll go back the sushi was good service a little slow. The bathroom were sorry to say a disaster could use a little bit of cleaning empty and garbage and clean sinks stuff like that.staff was friendly just didn't get to see him very often.
After a spectacularly cruddy day we both decided sushi was the answer. I'd never been here and it was close so that is where we went. We arrived during happy hour so got a few things for a reduced price. We had the Vegas roll, the East Meets West, Surf N Turf and Flying Phoenix. They were all great, with a toss up between East and Phoenix as to our favorite choice for the evening. The service was friendly and quick. We will definitely be back for more!
Great sushi and other items. Wife loves the "Cougar Roll", wrapped in cucumber instead of rice. Atmosphere is a good mix of young and older customers. Urban modern vibe with their paintings and furniture. You can dress casual for lunch and take it up a notch for dinner. Nice little bar. To me, food is excellent and priced accordingly, for sushi. Never had a bad plate. Service is usually great. There can be a wait around dinner time, be prepared to wait outside. Overall good place.
Payed $45 for their sashimi dinner and I'm asked to pay $2 extra for rice that the menu says is included. No thanks. I won't be back! There are better sushi restaurants a short drive away. My advice? Pass on Squid Ink.
Great squid salad, very “beefy”. Fried rice was great! Sushi rolls were nothing special. Pretty pricey. Good overall tho. I’d go back.
So delicious Best Sushi Restaurant in the entire West Valley. Love the patio, service is great, the Garlic Edamame and Crab Wontons are the best appetizers I've ever tasted!
Absolutely love squid ink. Favorite sushi bar especially for bringing kids and people who don’t like sushi! They’ve got very fresh delicious sushi, they also have amazing rolls like the surf n turf. And for those who hate sushi, their Buffalo chicken roll is a game changer! And their terriaki chicken bowl is best I’ve had maybe ever! So load up everyone including your kids who can order the PB&J roll! Adorable pb sandwich on soft white bread rolled and cut like sushi rolls with amaxing raspberry jelly drizzled over! I mean come on! Who doesn’t like this place. Slightly high priced is all.
