STEM Excellence Tutoring, Tucson AZ

When our high school freshman started struggling with math, a friend recommended STEM Excellence Tutoring as a place where he could get some additional support. We have been so happy with our experience with Lori and our son's tutor, Jamie. They have been friendly, responsive, and supportive and we have seen a strong improvement in our son's fundamental understanding of high school math.

I've been getting tutoring from Lori and her crew for over 2 years and it is the ONLY reason I have been able to get through all my classes. Lori is super caring and works with your schedule and is always available to help. She is very knowledgeable in the field too so she makes understanding it 10x easier. I would highly recommend Stem excellence for anyone needing extra help.

I have been coming to STEM Excellence Tutoring for the past 4 semesters I've taken of chemistry at the UA. Lori and Jake have helped me turn my grades from 10-15% on exams to B-Cs which I never believed was possible. They helped me gain confidence in a skill that used to terrify me and I saw real improvement in my scores. I've had tutoring twice a week and not only have my chemistry skills improved, I've gained friendships as well. That is what I love most about the people here, the tutors care greatly about us as students and that's something rare to find in a 300+ student lecture. If you are struggling to learn in a large classroom, I'd highly recommend checking out STEM Excellence!

Lori and STEM Excellence are wonderful. Lori is very attentive to the needs of the student. Our kids are young elementary age and go for enrichment classes. Ray is amazing with STEM projects and Corrina the same with Spanish.

STEM Excellence is fantastic. Lori called me back right away, I needed a tutor for my daughter for pre-calculus 189. She had Justin contact me and I was able to meet with him the same day. Justin is a great tutor, my daughter left there more confident in her knowledge for pre-calculus. I highly recommend this place.

STEM is amazing! The location is great, the classroom is comfortable, and the tutors are outstanding. I had lots of help with the SAT and my math classes. Love it here!

Lori is amazing! She is such an expert in physics and chemistry that she can make complex material very simple to understand. She helped me get an A in my graduate bioscience course which included a little of chemistry, organic chem, biochem, as well as physics. She knew it all, even was able to provide practice questions and a practice exam. She really did go the extra mile. She not only knows hard material but her and her staff are also math experts, so it was imperative to find a tutor that can help me with the basics of math as well. Thanks for everything Lori! I def would recommend, so worth it:)

Lori was a great tutor for my graduate chemistry/physics class. All our sessions were remote via Skype/whiteboard and I received the same experience I would have if it was in person. She helped me get an A in a class I had very little background in to start. I did a total of around 7 sessions over 4 weeks and each one was extremely helpful. I would 100% recommend.

The tutors at STEM really are excellent at what they do. Not only is Lori an expert in her field, she has a talent for simplifying difficult concepts. I went from struggling to an A grade in a graduate level class. I recommended the STEM tutors to my other classmates who also were successful. Definitely worth it if you are on the fence.

The result of my son was very disappointed in 2016 and I decided to send him to this tuition centre for better result. Happy to say that I saw great improvement in my son’s development particularly in science subject.

Every tutor that I worked with was approachable, responsible, and most importantly educated about the subject. They did a great job of identifying my true requirements and tailoring the sessions unswervingly to my best technique of learning.

Lori has been amazing to work with. I was struggling with my chem 151 class at UA and she was able to establish where things were going wrong and help me feel more confident in my chemistry abilities. I have utilized both her group tutoring sessions and private tutoring sessions, and both have been extremely helpful. She gives a full overview of concepts in ways that are easy to understand, as well as practice problems that prepare you for exams. I would recommend Lori and STEM Excellence to anyone.

Very helpful with Chem 151. Helped me really clarify things I didnt understand and helps me keep on top of the topics.

This semester for Chem 151 was rough at first because I was struggling and was getting bad exam scores. I needed a tutor and found Lori's contact on a U of A page for tutoring. I picked Lori out of other tutors listed because she has a lot of background in other science courses so I knew I could continue tutoring with her as I moved on in science courses I have to take for my major. Lori offers group and private tutoring which are both GREAT! I wasn't learning the lessons in lecture so the fact that Lori goes over the material and gives us her own lesson on the subjects helped so much. Group tutoring is great if you don't have a lot of money to spend and don't do very good learning in groups. Private tutoring is the best idea if you have the money and are really struggling. Lori is a great teacher and really cares about you learning the material. The next exam after starting tutoring I got an A, a big step from my other test scores. I definitely will be going back for Chem 152. The place is also not far from campus and is really nice with natural lighting.

She is amazing and not only helps me truly understand the material, but gives me a full review of all the concepts before every test. Private tutoring is amazing & gives us worksheets/ extra problems. Her room is bright and I love going to her tutoring weekly! I agree with the rest of the positive comments on her reviews.
