SummerWinds Nursery, Mesa AZ

Great nursery with a nice selection of hard to find house plants as well as unique outdoor plants. All along with the standard trees, herbs and miscellaneous shrubbery.

Great people to deal with, very freindly and always helpful. I enjoy my once in a few month trips here to find plants i look forward to watch grow and thrive, especially if they are fruit bearing plants. I always leave happy and better educated on the plants i just bought or on the ones in my gardens at home. Keep up the great service!

This nursery is absolutely my go to place for all my gardening needs. Everyone here is so friendly and the selection is amazing. All of the plants look so healthy and cared for. Theres also local kitties you can meet!

Every plant i have purchased from this nursery have thrived and have made great additions to my garden. My most recent additions were a cherry tomato plant and a two little cayenne pepper plants and they are doing wonderfully. I would recommend this place to anyone who truly cares about their plants.

The price is also great, its less than places like home depot and walmart and the quality is 100x better.

Been buying plants and supplies from this location coming up on 7 years now and each time my experience has been a great one. They always have what im looking for. I really enjoy talking gardening with Sherrie, she always has some great topics to talk about and shes a walking book of knowledge to help with any issue you might have and if she doesnt have an answer within a short amount of time she will get it for you. Even if a price on a plant might be alittle more than somewhere else just the fact the staff are great to deal with makes it well worth it.

My go-to nursery! I love that everyone here is always so helpful and friendly. Always knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile when you need assistance. I definitely prefer SummerWinds over other nurseries in the area.

The selection is great but the last few times here the customer service has been horrible. My mom got me a planter box and some herbs to start an indoor herb garden And She asked one of the workers if he had a measuring tape to measure the planter box and he just said yep, And then went back to what he was doing. She waited and eventually he threw the tape at her and walked away! She was pretty frustrated about it and I guess he was pretty rude the rest of her trip. She told me that the plants were guaranteed for a year just in case something happened.

The plants were gorgeous but after a couple of weeks I noticed that some of the plants looked like they were being nibbled on, which was odd.and then one morning I woke up and all of these bugs were all over my counter! I took the planter outside and had to call our pest control to spray. I took pictures and decided to take them back. When we got there an older man saw us and just looked annoyed. My husband explained that they had been eaten by some bugs that must have been on the plants and even though we showed him pictures of the bugs he was still annoyed and asked when the last time we watered the plants were. They were all half eaten from the bugs and we tried to explain but he didn’t care. We asked what they were so we could avoid them and take better action next time we get herbs and all he said was “I don’t know what those are” he obviously didn’t care, and it’s frustrating since that’s why we went to a nursery, hoping we could get some knowledge. I got some nice looking plants to replace the herbs but in the future I will be going to another nursery.

I just left Summer Winds and said to myself, "What a pleasant experience". The staff was super helpful, knowledgeable and had great ideas for the space I was looking to fill. They also have a terrific selection to choose from and their prices are very reasonable. I cannot say that about the nursery I visited the day before; and, yes, I left "that" nursery empty handed and discouraged. Can't wait to go back!

As a want to be full-time homestead and gardener dreamer I love nurseries and home stores. SummerWinds Mesa is a new favorite stop of mine. On top of having great inventory, well laid out floor plan, and convenient location, they also have a fantastic staff that is friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help. If that list was not enough they also include classes on many gardening and yard care subjects that are worth the drive from anywhere, just last weekend the wife and I enjoyed an hour long class all about growing tomatoes successfully in our God forsaken desert land. Seriously for all of you gardeners, want to be's and dreamers SummerWinds is a destination to check off on your visit list.

Love this place everyone is super friendly and helpful. Jack helped us find the perfect plant for my father's garden.
