Sun Control Retractable Shades, Tucson AZ

This is my second purchase from Sun Control Retractable Shades.
Excellent customer service. The salesman was very knowledgable. The office staff were also quite helpful. I love my new screen. Now I can sit outside on my patio and enjoy myself in my new shady corner.

I've found my screens elegant and very effective. The process was made so easy by JD, a very personable fellow.

Every aspect of our interactions with Sun Control was very positive.
From our initial meeting with the sales department at the show room and the follow up with Darin, at our home, our experience was exceptionally positive.
The installers were knowledgeable and did excellent job. There was some wrinkles and irregularities with the shades. We were told that with time this would flatten out and look presentable.
Post installation there was a visit from “Quality Control” which further confirmed that the wrinkling would disappear with time
IT DID NOT!

We initially had ordered total blackout shades, At a premium price, approximately $2000 more than the standard shades. According to the sales person, the blackout shade fabric had only been installed by this company
infrequently.
They were installed. From the very first installation, they did not look right, wrinkled, and crumbled. The company attempted to repair the problems approximately two or three times with no success.
The ultimate solution was installing the shades that they had used many times in the past.
The installation was perfect.
My request for a refund of the additional money paid for the blackout shades was denied.
This company appears to be consumer friendly but has no integrity.

The installers were so nice, neat, freindly and explained everything.
I did run into an operating glitch, but the customer service is over-the-top-incredible. They came out several times and ultimately made certain everyting was exactly right. I highy recoment this company for their customer care.

We recently had a retractable sunshade installed on our back patio which gets direct western sun. We have worked with SW Sun Control in the past as they installed an exterior shade for us several years ago and were the only company we contacted for an estimate this time. Darin was patient and respectful and spent all the time necessary to inform us about the product and answer all questions. Randy and his assistant provided a smooth and efficient installation and we couldn't be happier with the product. We chose the 95% sunblock fabric and not only does it block the sun, it greatly reduces the heat coming into the house. We are very happy with our decision.and it provides a very nice upgrade to our home.

The installation of 4 patio electric shades was performed ahead of schedule and completed within quoted time frame. A Quality Control person came by a week later to check the installation. The only concern we have had is that one of the shades did not respond to the remote as the others did. After notifying them of this, they sent men out to replace the motor on that shade.now all is good. We are very happy with their product and customer service.

I went to the SABA home show specifically to talk in person with screening companies. Made appointments for estimates with 2 companies. Devin arrived on time. I explained what I was looking for. He gave me an estimate, which was less expensive than what I expected. The other company’s estimate was double the price for the same project. From the beginning, after deposit, (small project) installation was completed within 45 days. I went ahead with the Remote control feature. I’m able to raise and lower my screen without having to go outside. The screen provides me privacy from the outside and it also blocks the west facing sun from getting inside my house. I am not sure why I waited so long to get a retractable. I’m glad I did.

Our salesperson was excellent. He followed up as we had an issue and got it corrected. Our initial installation, was on time and on schedule. The installers were polite and cleaned up when done. Our issue was the wiring was not exactly as we expected. We expected 100% conduit protected and it was about 75% when they left. However, our representative worked with us and the issue was corrected, actually beyond our expectations. So we are very satisfied.

Sun Control Retractable Shades installed 4 shades on our back patio, and 1 shade at the French door from our master bedroom. They were installed promptly, and we haven’t had any problems at all.
Also worth mentioning, they installed a new-style retractable shade along a 25’ opening in our back patio. Most other companies offer a maximum of 20’ for their retractable shades, so they allowed us to have a custom shade in a single unit, instead of 2 smaller units.
I met with one of their engineers designing their Colossus line - the units wider than 20’. I took a tour of their facility, and spoke in depth about their designs, and saw firsthand that they take pride in designing, producing, and delivering a quality product…. As a residential installation, all 5 units came with lifetime warranties - another reason I was happy to work with them.
I highly recommend giving them a call to see what they can do for you. They were significantly less expensive than the other competitor in Tucson that specialized in extra-wide shades, which made the decision very easy. I after over 6 months, I have no regrets…
