DO NOT WORK WITH SUN VALLEY CARPET!

You will regret your decision.

I make this bold statement because I had a horrible experience with this flooring installer. They cost me a lot of time, money, angst, and most importantly my flooring is still not fixed!

I did a complete remodel of the interior and exterior of my house in Arizona. I paid a fair amount of money for a high end vinyl flooring product and install and Sun Valley came highly recommended.

First they installed flooring at my home.
Within a week, the floor showed signs of lifting and buckling. I took pictures and sent it to them…. No response.

I sent three separate emails and left multiple phone messages with the owner with no call back.

Finally after five plus months Sun Valley responded and said they would come fix the flooring. It took three more months for them to show up.

The repair job involved drilling into the floor and injecting glue. This made the problem worse. The floor began buckling in many other areas adjacent to the.repair. I called Sun Valley again, and again, and again and over 8 months later they came again and did the same level of repair. More drill holes. More glue.

The problem got worse. I was frustrated so I called an independent flooring expert who I paid a lot of money to inspect the floor. In the end, he determined they did not level the floor properly and Sun Valley Carpet had voided the manufacturer warranty by repairing the flooring incorrectly.

At this point Sun Valley said we are done. They wouldn’t come back. Pointed fingers to everyone else other than taking responsibility for their work. I had a licensed builder inspect the floor. He determined the same thing and bid to replace the flooring. But this also meant tearing up baseboards, toe kicks of brand new cabinets, removing new appliances and moving furniture. Ugh. It was really costly and would be a mess again.

The saga and battle went on over two and a half years with attorneys involved. It was stressful and Sun Valley refused to take responsibility. All I wanted was for my beautiful remodel to be complete and as perfect as possible.

This never happened. Sun Valley never fixed the floor. They did make minimal reparations but not even close to the amount I am now faced with to fix the floor properly.

In summary, these guys are not competent. They didn’t read the manufacturer instructions. They don’t take care of their customers. There is no communication. They don’t stand behind their work. And when asked to be accountable they have the arrogance to claim it’s not their fault nor their problem.

Please do yourself a favor. Avoid Sun Valley Carpet of Arizona at all costs. Or it will cost you!
