Sutra is such a magical place. Energizing guided yoga sessions, peaceful and powerful meditations, and classes that educate and empower. Rebecca has such a beautiful presence. She is why I call Sutra my “happy place. ” I highly encourage anyone of any level interested in yoga to check it out.

They offer something for everyone in a completely nonjudgmental space. I've been going to Sutra for more than 10 years and can honestly say Sutra is more than a studio, it's a family.

Sutra Studios- La Brea has great instructors and provides space for working on the body and taking mind off. It became a central part of my life to have a good work and life balance. Starting a day with 5: 45 a.m. Yoga is a wonderful way to have a positive and energetic day!

Sutra Studios became my home yoga studio last year. I have been to many studios over the years. At Sutra I found the consistency in teaching styles and philosophy helpful as I reestablished my practice. I like the Barre class for challenge and fun, the yoga for an inward focus and the other lifestyle classes for rounding out my focus on a healthy me. The foundation and basic classes have helped my understand the correct postures and techniques to the poses. And the music is da' bomb!

Sutra is a beautiful studio. They know your name after the first class you take. They really go above and beyond for the experience during class, from the music to the lighting and take it to the next level with the themes of the classes. Highly recommend giving Sutra a chance. A truly inspiring experience. All levels can feel comfortable and welcome.

Oh, Sutra Studios. No amount of words could describe my gratitude for this place. From the first moment, it feels like a warm motherly hug. Rebecca and her family have created a beautiful, comfortable, and creative space for all levels. From the first step, greeted with so many smiling faces (all pretty much identical, just in different sizes), to yoga buzz as you walk out, this place is nothing short of magical. Rebecca is a natural teacher, for lessons on the mat and off. It took two of her classes for me to jump into the Yoga Teacher Training, for which helped me unlock the cage I put around myself and move freely with knowledge, love, and compassion. Forever grateful for this studio. Thank you, Matt and Rebecca!

In alignment to be kinder to myself - mind, body and spirit, I joined a yoga studio for the first time! I was drawn to one particular studio, feeling a pull each time I would walk past it.
I finally listened to that inner voice and went for it! I feel such gratitude for Rebecca Fritz at Sutra Studios, who has a voice of an angel, puts incredible thought into each of her classes and has a gentleness as she teaches her practice choreographed to amazing music! Sutra is a more than a studio, it is a community filled with warmth, peacefulness and acceptance. Rebecca’s classes are more than a class, they are an experience? Cheers to finding my new home!

My YTT experience at this studio gave me spiritual and emotional tools that helped mold me into a better man. I went into the program with no intention of teaching. I just wanted to deepen my practice. Along the way I learned a lot about myself: my emotions, my tendencies, my thought processes and my intentions in everyday life. The program as a whole gave me clarity on not only what was important to me and what steps I needed to take to get there, but also how to maintain focus and consistency to achieve the goals I had for myself. I learned how to manage my emotions in a healthy way but also taught me the importance of tools like therapy and communication to make that process easier. Communicating effectively and learning to listen to my inner self, my body, as well as others: these are the greatest lessons I’ve learned to date and they’ve helped me in both my business ventures as well as in my personal life. If I had the option to do this YTT again I would gladly do so in a heartbeat. Compared to other programs I researched, you get much more than other studios who are usually more focused on the spiritual aspect or on the asanas. This program gives you a health dose of both but also mediation, the history and physiology of yoga, and the art of proper adjustments (which are amazing by the way). After this program I became a teacher because I couldn’t keep all the good lessons I learned to myself. I was too excited to share everything I learned. If nothing else, please look into being a part of this community Rebecca has built. It will change your life.

Absolutely wonderful studio, rooted in community-building and a multifaceted approach to physical and spiritual wellness.

Back in 2013, when I turned 16 years old and could finally drive myself around the city, I took to yoga as a new fitness commitment, deciding to shift away from competitive sports (okay. I also wasn't tall enough to make the varsity volleyball team). I acted on a friend's recommendation to try out Sutra. It was my first studio, as well as the one I stuck with for the next 7 years, before I moved away from Phoenix in 2020.

The warmth and in-studio presence of owners Rebecca and Matt create an atmosphere unlike any I've encountered at other studios, in Arizona and beyond. Since founding Sutra, they've valued creating and evolving a Yoga Teacher Training program comprehensively led by Rebecca and the studio's all-star teachers. After a year of practicing, Rebecca thankfully encouraged me to enroll in YTT; I am immensely grateful for the crazy-substantial spiritual alignment the program gifted me. Also, YTT graduates often wind up teaching at Sutra themselves. Again, I can't speak highly enough of the community-oriented emphasis.

The studio's beautiful spaces, warm and unimposing and extensively knowledgeable instructors, special events, themed classes, and diverse clientele at various levels of practice are only a few of the reasons to check out Sutra. And then of course there's Rebecca's and Matt's caring, attentive, hip, energetic, delightful community leadership!

Whenever I return to Phoenix in the future, returning to Sutra will be at the top of my to-do list!

I attended Sutra's YTT nearly 7yrs ago now and it still holds up as one of the best, most transformative experiences of my life!
I was surrounded by such good people. Not only did i learn the ins and outs of asana, breathwork, meditation, I felt a part of a family who encouraged and supported me in my dreams. I look back and see this time as a sort of foundational spring board for the rest of my life. I was 18 at the time and after graduating spent the next several years backpacking, traveling, putting all the training of mind body spirit awareness and growth into practice. I really do attribute these life changes to that program and all it opened up and activated within me!

I cant recommend this studio or this program enough!

Joining the Sutra community was one of the BEST decisions of my life! My journey started with taking classes at the Midtown location and during a period of frustration at work I was looking for an outlet to grow and develop. I joined YTT to deepen my practice and learn more anatomy. I achieved that, but what YTT really gave me was an expanded mind, renewed soul and forever family. I never thought I would teach, but after my transformation I wanted to pay it forward and help everyone unveil their inner badass. It's been four years since I graduated and I'm still using what I learned to help myself and others live their fullest on and off the mat. I challenge you to find a better investment in yourself than Sutra YTT.

My favorite yoga teacher when through teacher training at this studio! They do a great job of teaching the fundamentals while also leaving room for personal expression!

Sutra Studio YTT 200 hour program changed my life. I had been been teaching and had realized I hadn’t found my voice. When I chose to enroll in this program it was because of the vibe of the studio, students and the owners. The format allowed me to dive in to so many aspects of teaching I didn’t know existed. Rebecca has an amazing inspirational way of guiding a path while shining light individually for personal growth while holding space. I learned how to teach sharing my voice, vision and words. From sequencing to creating playlists I was honored to receive their knowledge. I share this review so others know what an absolute delight the program was, and the studio to teach at. Not only did it change the way I teach, but the way I live my life. I learned to witness and hold space. Blessings to this family business with such a deep history and knowledge of how to become a successful yoga instructor.

This place is amazing! Best yoga studio in the valley hands down! You can’t find a yoga vibe that is so accepting of all bodies like you do at sutra. Most studios act like they have the answers to “fix” you like you’re one lululemon buy away from being thin and happy… but at sutra you are accepted as you are and shown nothing but love and a space to find yourself. Sutra is so much more then just yoga… it’s a community where everyone is accepted with warm open arms just as they are
