Thai Express reviews
17Requested vegan and they put egg in it.apparently you have to request for them not to put egg in it when ordering vegan luckily I don't have an egg allergy.
The menu clearly says that vegan versions of the food is available. I ordered 2 plates of the fried rice - both vegan. On my receipt and on the computer it said vegan. I get the food and there's egg in it. My wife already took a bite. We'll see how she feels later. Went back and they said they could either just give me rice with meat or a refund because they were out of tofu. I really wanted to give this place a chance since it clearly stated they were vegan friendly and had plenty of options for vegans. Very disappointed and won't be back for fear of sickness.
The food was not good, had no flavor and mostly tasted of sesame order.
The workers were kind but the food was not good at all.
Caution: ask about wait time before placing your order. Waited 40 minutes at an almost emptu food court after placing order only to end up cancelling because they never got to preparing the food. When you see a family with a kid ordering food, and know there is going to be a wait time, the least you can do is give a heads up. I wasted my Saturday afternoon sitting at the table waiting for food yet going back hungry. Never returning.
I had this earlier today and the noodles and stake tasted rotten, as if it was supposed to be a Philly cheese stake but it was supposed to be stake pad Thai. Thoroughly disappointed.
I finished my chewy, dried stir-fry for two reasons. One, I was that hungry. Two, sunk cost fallacy. I had already spent so much money, and time waiting, I wasn't emotionally prepared to admit what a mistake I'd made in choosing this place. Not a recommend.
Not bad. It's fast food Thai, but the help is friendly and the meat portions are not totally insanely small. So, good job!
Tasty, fast, friendly, and decent quality
They tried.
Ordered my food and the card machine happened to go down. They tried to reboot it, but it wound up shutting down the whole kiosk. By the time they got it back up and running, 20 minutes had gone by. Wound up having to pay in cash for my order.
Because of the confusion, my order went in twice and that led to an other miscommunication where I had to explain to the cooks what happened at the kiosk.
Then I got my food. Very mediocre. Whatever. It’s the mall. Wasn’t expecting Michelin star level stuff, but their noodles tasted stale and their bean sprouts were questionable.
It’s not their fault the card reader went down. Bad luck happens. But it sort of revealed how under prepared they were for a scenario like this.
Ordered the basil fried rice, vegan. It was printed on the receipt and everything. They still put egg in it and told me I had to request it with no egg. I explained the definition of what a vegan item is, but the kids working there were arrogant and maintained that you still need to request the omission of egg from items ordered vegan. I obviously won't return, simply because they refused to learn.
The food from this restaurant is like their employees sad no flavor and no happy soul true zombies no one is happy.
I walked up to the counter 40 min before they were supposed to close, told them I'd like to order, they looked at me like I was crazy and said, "we're closed".
Felt ripped off after ordered Tom yum noodle. Didn't expect much from a food-court but about $10 for a cup of noodle was not worth it. I can't even explain how it was not worth it, lol.
Ok this place is AMAZEBALLS with SUPER FRESH food made to order while you watch! Dinner and a show! So fresh and flavorful you won't stop eating til your plate is empty. Imho I could eat this more than once a week and it's reasonably priced to boot. Chicken, Shrimp, and the Beef Pad Thai are all delicious. I'll try more next time =)
Haven’t had anything other than their chicken Thai soup, but it tastes pretty good! Taking 1 star off for the fact that the employees close way before they’re supposed to. They’re always the first shop to close.
I placed my order on GrubHub, paid for it, waited, went to pick it up, and it was not ready. The woman behind the counter tried to tell me that I did not order anything. After five or eight minutes she finally realized I did order something and proceeded to make my food.
This by far was the worst Thai food I've ever had. I didn't expect the Tom Yum soup to be loaded with noodles, and the flavor and spice profiles were so watered down. The tofu was greasy and overcooked. The noodles and onions were undercooked. My Pepsi was flat. The only thing that was good was my mango nectar juice. This food might as well have been a cup of ramen noodles. That's how horrible it was. Go to Thai Spices instead. That's real Thai food, not like Thai Express, which is fake.
Waited in the LINE to order our food and had a man cut right in front of us from the other side and attempted to proceed with his order. When I spoke with the employee WHOM I made eye contact with in the line about us waiting and we were next, he chose not to take out order. Lost service before ordering the food after waiting.
