The Delta reviews
17Two of us sat at the bar for dinner, pork belly is amazing. Shrimp n grits maybe the best I had. The oysters were a little overpowered by the panko. The pork skins had a nice kick. Wife raved about her salad. This place has a great menu, decor, staff, and service!
Hubby surprised me with dinner here for Valentines Day. We were sat right next to the door so we felt freezing air everytime anyone went in or out. Cool vibe inside with lots of fun drink selections but not very many food options. We got the Hillbilly Brussels and Cast Iron Cornbread to start with entrees Smoked Pork belly PoBoy and Dr Pepper Tri Tip. For desert King Cake donut which reminded me more of a bagel than donut but fun. Overall food was good but appetizers lacked seasoning. Dr Pepper Tri Tip is AMAZING! Fun place to try.
It was an interesting experience but the food just didn't taste good to me. Chef tried to offer unique food. Im normally open to trying new and different things, but this just didn't work.
The food was inventive and flavorful. We had the pickled vegetables, potatoes with chimchurri, corn on the cob, shrimp, and the pickled berry pie. We loved each dish! Service was fantastic too.
Update one year later: the food was good, but not as special as last time. Service was still excellent, but the dishes (pickles, Brussels, gumbo, and chicken sandwich) were just not as exciting as before.
Just the best dining experience all round. Close to being in New Orleans. We will most certainly return.
Stellar food! Fun vibes. Nice surprise of southeastern food in the southwest. Highly recommend. Great service. Highly recommend.
James the bartender is AMAZING! This guy was RUNNIN ish this Sunday funday it was my first time at Delta and thanks to him (+ the delicious food.but mostly James lol) I’ll be bringing friends/family back for sure!
My dad and I try new places pretty much every weekend and this is for sure a fave now due to the EXCEPTIONAL service! Literally as our tushies were hitting the bar seats.two glasses of water appeared in front of us lol. I know that seems like such a small thing but we were just at an extremely expensive restaurant in Phoenix and waited 45 minutes for water.after I asked for it! Along with tons of other mishaps from bad service. Anyways.
Delta was pretty busy and I didn’t see James stop moving for a single second. Seeing him mix drinks was also a form of entertainment all on it’s own hahah. Loved it! And I swear, we would just yell stuff out and he’d gladly get us whatever we needed immediately.whether he was busy or not. Which he was always busy! I also remember just like mentioning something I needed to my dad and all the sudden.there is appeared. Haven’t had this attentive of service in a longgg time! And like I said, we’re out trying places every weekend.
Not only that. I was a lil tipsy okay maybe slightly more than tipsy lmao. So of course, I kind of made a fool of myself with the topics of conversation.such as politics and what not. And I YELL when I talk (if you can’t tell by the way I’m typing) so I kept expecting to see James making some judgmental faces, maybe some spit in my food (hahahah totally kidding), somethinggggg. (like I’ve gotten when out other places before.) But nope, nothing ️ He was a total sweetheart from the moment we sat down, to the moment we were out the door!
My dad also decided to try some absinthe. Long story short, he hated the taste. I loved it. So I drank it for him and I never would’ve, had James not given the best description ever.of what it does, etc. I was honestly so scared of it lol because I’ve never had it before.but felt totally confident when he explained! 100% be coming back for more because I looooved it.
Okay almost done I swear James the bartender is definitely the reason for this [very long] review.clearly but I have only good things to say about everything else as well? Food, ambiance, music.all amazing! Oh and I have celiac disease. Eating out can be so uncomfortable. They had tons of options and a clearly marked menu! 10/10 recommend. Great experience.
Our server was wonderful - attentive, gave good recommendations, friendly. The atmosphere was very cool, a lot of interesting wall art, plants, colors, etc. The booths were super comfortable. The food was very tasty and came out pretty quickly. Large portions, good flavor.
The service was great, friendly staff. The food was interesting. Very well put together, tasty for sure, but I don't think my tongue was ready for that flavor profile. That was the first time I've had Dr. Pepper steak sauce or pickled black and blue berries. Bacon caramel popcorn is a stroke of genius! The atmosphere was an artsy neon kitsch that was really fun.
Amazing! Everything.the food, the drinks, the service, the decor! Had the delicious hush puppies, queso, pickled vegetables, drunken angel pasta, and the Corpse Reviver absinthe cocktail. Virgina, our hostess was super attentive. Can't wait to go back!
Look nice. Waiter was ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTIONAL! MIXOLOGIST WAS DEFINITELY UNIQUE. Jambalaya was not seasoned! I just went with a salad. Ofc A ok!
Also noticed a violation of food health regulations. Raw Food is not Acceptable. (especially beef or pork). AND FYI You MOST DEFINITELY CANNOT REHEAT RED RAW MEAT (Tip to Manger) which is another violation! The Manger felt as if it should still be paid for clearly wasn't taken off after seeing RED PORK not even pink!
The staff are friendly and accommodating, the food is super delicious and filling, the environment is comfortable and casual.
OMG that was the best meal we have had in Tucson in quite a while. Not only that there was a glitch in the online ordering software and they were not supposed to deliver to our house but someone drove out and delivered the meal anyways. What professional service to go along with the AMAZING meal!
You have a new customer for life!
Great food and great service!
The staff is personable and in some cases fun to interact with making the overall dining experience very positive.
Try Delta at least once, and you will return!
Our server who was the bartender was amazing. No complaints there. Whoever was cooking today must be having a bad day though because everything was uncomfortably spicy. The pigtails were so drenched in mustard sauce it was practically inedible. No depth of flavor just intense mustard. The brussels were so coated in chili crisp my stomach started burning 5 minutes in and I regularly eat spicy food. When I poked to the bottom of the brussels bowl they were just swimming in chili oil. Idk if this was an off night or what but a very unpleasant experience. One note food, which was pain/discomfort. Would not eat here again.
This Restaurant is just AMAZING! The atmosphere, drinks, food! Amazing! They have an amazing selection of craft beers and cocktails to die for! The Aesthetic blew us away when we walked in and the service top notch! I ordered the Dr. Pepper Tri Tip (Never had this before, thought it was an odd combo but went for it.) I LOVED IT! Was juicy and cooked to perfection! I also ordered the Puttin Tater tots as an appetizer and my lord did it Have everything you could ever want on such an appetizer. My lady ordered the black shrimp pasta and loved it very much! Highly recommend this place to anyone coming into Tucson! ALSO VETERANS GET 50% off of their individual meal! Which is amazing at such a high quality restaurant!
We love the Parish. We want to love the Delta. The Muffuletta is on point. If the chef or owner is reading this, please eliminate cheese wiz from your menu.
