The Fountains at La Cholla, Tucson AZ

S a service provider, I’m at The Fountains four times a month. I deal with an array of staff. Every employee I come into contact with, are helpful and courteous when there are issues that need to be resolved. Residents are treated in a respectful manner and I witness the staff providing constant assistance.

The Fountains at La Cholla is a top notch senior living community! I own a senior placement company here in Tucson and all of my clients who I've recommended to this community are happy and thriving. There are countless activities each day and I find the atmosphere to be very inviting. I also must say that their Independent Living Casitas are some of the nicest and most spacious units in town. This was Watermark's 1st community and I feel they have kept it up very nicely. They have a tenured staff and are able to offer the full continuum of care. I work closely with Carleen Robinson, Grace Hughey, and Jennifer Fitzgerald and they do a tremendous job of educating my clients on the features and benefits of living at The Fountains. They are extremely compassionate and maintain a very positive attitude. Furthermore, they are great listeners and are always willing to assist residents to ensure they are comfortable and well cared for. Keep up the great work!

We’ve been contracting with the Fountains for the past seven years. Our experience with the staff and residents has been great. The environment is friendly and the residents often share with us “we love it here. The entire staff at The Fountains are such wonderful, kind people. They went above and beyond to always make sure my parents were safe and cared for when I was not able to be there. I would highly recommend The Fountains to anyone looking to find an independent living facility for their loved one.

My mom was a resident at The Fountains for 5 years and at The Inn for 1.5 years. We moved her recently to be closer to family. Moving anyone from their home is difficult, but moving her to The Fountains was an easy decision. She had friends there from her retirement community and she knew most of the very friendly and professional staff.
Her two bedroom apartment was in perfect move in condition and while very little maintenance was needed, they always responded quickly to mom's request. The dining room at The Fountains is excellent and mom appreciated the menu choices.
Mom was engaged with the community by being part of the welcoming committee, gave tours of her apartment and when mobility became an issue, helped write birthday cards for the residents.
The move to The Inn was necessitated by her mobility needs and she needed help with daily living activities. The Inn is a much smaller facility as was her apartment, but that's exactly what mom needed. The staff were kind and responsive and since we don't have any family in the area this aspect was critical to her and our wellbeing. While mom had many wonderful caregivers, I want to give special thanks, to Rosa, Emma, Amanda and to Jennifer and Patricia in the dining room. Also special thanks to Carol at the front desk for always answering my calls, questions and letting me know she just saw mom.

I have been very happy with my move. My fellow residents have been friendly and welcoming as has the staff. My kids are so happy that I made this move and that I am pleased with my new home.

I feel very safe and secure here. I have particularly enjoyed the activities and dining. I also find that the company who runs the community is continually looking for ways to improve and it shows.

My dad has lived here for a couple of years and is very happy with it. He loves the outings to different places and restaurants around town, as well as all the live music. The staff is kind and caring, always looking out for the residents. My family has been very with our experiences here!

I’ve been a resident of the Fountains for nearly three years. I’m thoroughly satisfied. I often tell others that I “can’t think of a thing they could do to improve. ”
The employees are kind, helpful, positive and friendly. I always feel comfortable asking for help. The folks at the front desk have been great – always available and very dependable on follow through.
The grounds are kept neat and clean, as is interior of the buildings. And what a beautiful job of decorating for holidays and events!
In our apartments, they do a thorough job of keeping it clean, down to maintenance details like window washing and regular air filter replacements. Whenever I need a carpet touch up or cleaning, or any maintenance help, they are prompt to reply to my request.
Everything is right here for us and if they don’t have, they provide transportation to medical appointments, church services, shopping, etc. The folks at the transportation desk are wonderful and very prompt and dependable.
At Fountains I go to exercise classes that my physical therapist recommended. They offer various levels. The beauty salon is here for hair and nails, laundry facilities and even help to DO your laundry, if needed. Bi-weekly entertainment and so many more classes and outings are offered.
We have a special office of helpers here called Bayada. They are very trustworthy and kind. We pay a small fee for them to assist with ANYthing we may need. It’s great to have them here and approved by Fountains.
We also have a Wellness Director. When I returned from the hospital and rehab she made sure my apartment was ready for me with various support devices to keep me safe and independent.
Whenever I am at the bank or grocery store or doctor’s offices, it seems the whole of Tucson knows about the Fountains and they all say “We hear SUCH good things about that place! ”. I give them a big thumbs up and so the reputation goes on.
Even our Executive Director makes herself available for any questions or feedback.
Like I said, “I can’t think of a thing they could do to improve! ” In my nineties, I feel very grateful to have found this place and be living in such safe and comfortable surroundings at this stage of my life.

My mom moved into the Fountains at La Cholla about 3 months ago. The entire staff has been very helpful and caring throughout the process... From choosing the best floor plan and location, to making sure the move in went smoothly.

We have lived at the Fountains for four years, and consider it our neighborhood and our home. We are so grateful that we moved while we were strong enough to do it and still enjoy the amenities, which are many. This is one of the few places where independent casitas are available and it is like living in your own home, but in safety and comfort. Transportation to theater and music, intellectual and craft activities are numerous, and so much more. We recommend it wholeheartedly.

We moved our, then 96 yr old, into the independent living side of The Fountains and no sooner moved her in that everyone was locked down for COVID! She had a lovely 1 bedroom, 1 bath and small kitchen unit and was only beginning to enjoy her new found friends and meals at the restaurant. She did well and the staff did all they could to make everyone comfortable during a tough time. Fast forward a year later and we had to move her into assisted living, right across the street. She now has a lovely 3rd floor studio apt that she lives with her 19 yr old cat Jack. She is now 98 (almost 99) and in very happy in her apartment. They take great care of her, the facility is always there for her and us! We can't recommend The Fountains enough!

After living here for over 11 years, The Fountains remains a warm, inviting place to live. Changes occur, people come and go, but what remains is a community of residents, staff, and leadership who are kind and caring people living the Best of Life together.
The food is delicious and restaurant worthy. The amenities and activities are plentiful. The setting is beautiful filled with mature trees, flowering shrubs, and flowers landscaped around the main building and along pathways leading among the casitas.
It is a great place to live and to thrive!

The Fountains at La Cholla is a very nice place to live. My wife and I have been living here for approximately 4-1/2 years. We reside in a Casita and absolutely Love It. We enjoy the extremely friendly and caring Residents and participate in many of the activities on the Campus. The Director of the Dining Room and his entire Staff are remarkable. They are doing a very Great job under difficult conditions due to the Pandemic. The Director of Housekeeping and his Staff are also doing a very Good job. The Supervisor of Transportation is truly dedicated to serving the residents of the Fountains. The Maintenance Staff is also truly dedicated to serving the residents. The Fountains Staff, all the way from the Executive Director to the Associates, do an outstanding job to know and understand the Residents and their needs. "You are not just a number, you are a person". We so totally enjoy living at The Fountains At La Cholla.
