The Hobby Place at Ace, Tucson AZ

I have been going to the store since it opened and i have found the staff attentive, knowledgeable and friendly. If the item is available but is not in stock they will order it in their next order. They will call you when it arrives.
Prices are reasonable.

Great place with a great staff always very friendly and willing to help and they know what they're talking about.you can find just about anything in the world you're looking for there it is a pretty good-size store. Prices are okay sometimes you get good deals and sometimes some prices are a little high other than that it's a great place and family friendly

It must be me. I have bought several items there on different visits, including a fantastic DCC Sound Loco. A great selection for model trains and I have never left there without buying at least something, however I have stopped going there. The guys there follow me around as if I'm a potential shoplifter / thief which makes me feel really uncomfortable. I'm in my late 50's, always dress respectably when I'm out, and don't have this problem elsewhere. Maybe my double has given them a bad experience, but whatever, I won't be back.

Love, love, love this place. They have unique bits of everything. Ghee have baby chicks to RC Cars, plumbing needs, dishes, etc. The store is huge. I could spend an entire weekend there.

This is one of the only hobby stores I know of in Tucson and it is one of the best I've seen. It has all of the essentials for building model train sets. It has N, HO, and O scale model trains. It also has a wide variety of miniature cars and planes. I also saw some rockets that are able to be launched. So I would recommend this store to anyone who would like to just look at the hobby equipment or anyone who would like to buy one if these items.

They had all kinds of selections and prices cheaper than Hobby lobby or Michael's. Definitely going back!

Love this place. The staff are wonderful. They sell a wide assortment if model trains, Gundams, and science kits.

This place so reminded me of being a kid. Walking into a hobby shop and just waking around and wanting everything. I spent many summers in Okinawa and their bandai gundam section just made me happy. Then I saw a wall dedicated to the metal earth models. This place has replaced amazon with their staff and better prices. I keep coming back and still feeling like a kid. Thanks Ace.

This must be the last real hobby shop left in Tucson? It's a bit pricey, but a dream for a dad and kids who hobby. It reminds me of places from childhood 40 years ago.

A great place with an excellent selection of models and tool. Plus, their gunpla line is phenomenal.

A great little store, full of awesome models and stocked with a wide variety of paints and other essentials. Always a cool place to stop in and browse the model trains and Gunpla selection.

I (along with my Uncle Frank) stopped in the shop on a visit to the Tucson area and found not only a fantastic model shop but two extremely friendly gents that enjoyed chatting about the modeling experience. I was questioning if a MIG Enamel product would be OK to take on a airplane back to the Chicago area (which was fine to do). Conversations went from one thing to another. I can tell that they enjoy the craft and are knowledgeable on multiple areas. Thank you guys for the help and seeing a true Model shop. I will return to chat (and purchase) again.

They have everything you can possibly need from Planes Trains Automobiles and gundam model kits, they have paints they have sandpaper they have the tools for your model kits, and the staff is knowledgeable I've been going to this hobby store for years and I always able to get what I need.

I’ve been meaning to check this store out for quite some time but never got around to it until today! So glad I was able to stop by as there is quite a large selection of Gunpla (Gundam model kits) as well as paints, thinners, stands, and markers. Will definitely visit again!

I'm so glad this hobby shop exists. When I moved here 15 years ago I could not find one place in Tucson that sells Lionel track. Thank you so much for being here to help with my O gauge needs.

They seem helpful and have a lot of things. However, I had my wife pay while I was getting the kids in the car. When we got home she said it seemed a little expensive. We checked the receipt and they charged us $20 instead of $10 for one item. Sneaky.check those prices while they're ringing them up. I'll probably go back to online now.
