The Home Depot reviews
22Out of everything I went there for! Black switch plate and 1 and a half x 8 or 10' mdf Frustrating! Good thing was Lowe's had them in stock.
The 2 women at the Home Depot door dept desk were rude. When I asked about install she wanted to know if I was going to buy a door so they don’t waste their time. I said it depends on install price. She said it will be expensive do you want it installed? I ordered a door on HD app that I was unable to find in the store.
When he came to give the estimate, he didn’t measure, he took a photo and left. A woman sent a message a week later said the install would be $825. The door was only $500! (I was told by another person in the Glendale store it would be ~$400) I called the Surprise store, manager, customer service and corporate to no avail. Days were wasted. They shifted me from one person to another. I’m done with HD and will cut up my card. I was always a HD shopper but no more. Surprise store is the worst one! I will be canceling and going with Lowe’s. I’m 76 years old and am only on $1,000 SS month and planned on $1,000 total for the door.
Home Depot has quality associates and very knowledgeable! I couldn’t find them any better at any other store!
So I keep having issues here. Some employees are great, a pleasure.
Others are rude and quick to dismiss.
I don't think anything excuses rudeness or being quick to dismiss a customer. If I had a closer home Depot I'd go to it, not a fan of Lowe's.
More issues, online ordering, calling their phone number and talking to their operator isn't helpful. Still the same about their employees, some are helpful, some don't care about their job and you can tell with them cursing or whatever. I'm glad I know what I'm looking for when I come in cause I'm not sure I would always be helped if I didn't. Ordering to my house from now on when I can or going to second chance tools in Glendale for other stuff.
The hibiscus rang up full price. I told the cashier it was half price. A woman came over. She was rude and started arguing that hibiscus never go on sale. She said she would check on the price and never came back. I left the store without any plants.
Friendly, helpful staff. The staff in ther flooring department are really good. I needed a custom setup for my stairs. They found the perfect installer who did a great job.
The home depot has lost their ability to provide customer service, but this is no surprise when they have basically become the Walmart of home improvement. My wife doesn't like that I am more willing to spend money at stores like Ace and True Value, but it is simply because they do not allow their people to provide customer service. They are spread too thin.
Purchased a washer and dryer. Paid for it Waited nearly 2 week. The day it was to be Delivered. It never showed up. Went to the store to cancel my order. Would not return my money. After talking to the bank. And the manager. Charge me $40 so they could inconvenience me I would not do business with home depot. If you need Anything more than a 2 by 4. I should have known better this is not an Appliance store. Not a happy customer! This home depot was in surprise.
Its home depot you go there and just like other every guy you forget what you went there for till you get home and remember what you needed so you turn around and go back 2 to 3 times the day your working on your wife's honeydos.
It was pretty clean but it was really hard to find someone to help us out and then the self-checkout they're okay but it sucks that I cannot put my tax-exempt code on it I had to get someone to help me and that was another 10 minute wait to get someone to come and help me I don't mind waiting but I don't want to be waiting every single time I need something
Really busy place during the peak season (Oct - Apr) so be careful when driving in the parking lot. The store is well stocked as expected and staff is friendly and helpful when available.
Would be a 5 but the self scan drives me nuts, and they have zero conventional check outs for the public. I use to be able to get in and out in a couple minutes. Now it just seems like I am waiting behind some one who does not know how to use them. This Home depot is in a very busy shopping center right next to Sun City.
Love Home Depot. Always New things to see. Staff is usually friendly and helpful when you can find someone not already busy helping someone else. They know their stuff
Wonderful assistance from employees. Special thanks going out to Dion for helping me with some rebar this evening before he had even clocked in!
Would give 5 stars if whoever decides prices didn't think a single cut should make it cost double.
I have always had great service at home depot. And there has always personnel to help me with questions about products and where to find those products and not once have I not been able to return a plant that did not make it They let me get a new plant no? Ask. What else is there to say. They are great. Thank you for listening. Mrs Greklek
6 customer service registers, 1 clerk, customers lined up 7 deep. Very poor customer service. People have lives and don’t appreciate standing in line for long periods of time because a merchant is too cheap to staff their storage appropriately.
What a joke of a store, don’t lock your doors at 7: 59 when you close at 8 on sundays. Find another job if you can provide great customer service and stay at your job for a minute longer.
I never realized Home Depot was a Black Friday hotspot. We went in the afternoon and they were still very busy. We were still able to get in and out very fast. Home Depot planning for Black Friday was on point with staffing. I think checking out may have been even faster than their normal smooth check out.
Good deals, friendly staff. Access to shopping center when busy is terrible and parking lot was designed from a cow path. Stay away during peak shopping seasons if you are in a hurry at all.
Had what i needed but i had to find an associate to pull what i needed from their storage shelf. Registers seemed a little slow. Otherwise a 5 star visit
