The Learning Lab reviews
21I was that mom that was scared to leave my babies in care of others. I searched for a daycare that checked off all of our must haves and The learning lab has exceeded our expectations! I feel like we are now family. Our 2 year old is talking very clearly and comes home singing his abc’s and numbers. & our 4 year old is ready to test into kindergarten in May! (She would originally have to wait another year since her birthday falls at the end of the year!) She has learned so much since being enrolled almost a year ago. The staff is always welcoming and answers any concerns we have! This daycare uses the Procare app which allows you to see when your child/children nap starts and ends to what they eat & when they go to the potty. I always recommend friends that are looking for a trustworthy, clean daycare here! Thank you Learning Lab for taking care & educating our littles.
The Learning Lab has been a great place for my son and myself. He loves it there and I feel confident that he’s in a safe place learning and playing throughout the day. I would recommended this daycare to everyone in the area.
I absolutely love working for The Learning Lab! Out of all the places I have had the opportunity to work at, this one shows to care most about the children and their curriculum. Keeping parents updated on improvement within the classes and how students can benefit outside of class has been one of their top priorities. The communication between parents and teachers here has been some of the best I’ve seen. My daughter attends here as well and I’ve seen a crazy change in her speech and behavior at home. This feels more like a family establishment and I’m proud to be a part of it.
My 2 babies have had such a great relationship with everyone here. They love going to daycare and even ask to go on their days off and for that reason I know my babies are being well taken care of. I have had the best experience with the learning lab staff always helping us parents in education and taking great care of my babies. I 110% recommended this daycare.
I’ve have worked in childcare in the past and worked in grouphomes and got so much experience working with different ages groups I’ve been here at the learning lab for 6 months now and I got to meet suching a amazing people! Well organized and so caring! From the first day I started til present everyone is so loving with each and every child. I’ve been in the baby room and I’ve became so close with all of the kids in the classroom. The learning lab gave me new experiences and I love it here! The care all teachers give and how kind and nice everyone is makes me excited and happy coming to work every day (:
Great group of caregivers here! Very friendly and really loves the kids. They took my daughter in when my family was in a bind. I highly recommend!
We love this center. Our oldest is in the preschool class and has learned so much. We also have a kid in the youngest class. We know she is looked after and safe. The staff here have really become part of our family.
The learning lab has been a really good experience for me! I love working with the kids! And getting to know my coworkers also! Very much a 10 out of 10 for me!
Unfortunately we had to take our daughter out of care due to serve diaper rashes. By the weekend while she was home the diaper rash would clear up. By Monday or Tuesday night she would come home with another one. This went one for about 3 weeks before we took her out of care. I sent all the items we used as home to help with the rash, however they kept on coming. Of course we had to pay for 2 weeks although we kept her home. They refused to refund us our yearly enrollment fee after we took her out the program 6 days after the fee was paid. I wish we had a better experience. As a parent who cares a lot about hygiene, I would look elsewhere. I hope you guys do better in the future. The only thing the assistant director said was “we care for kids like our own”. I’m pretty positive your own child wouldn’t have a rash for 3 weeks straight to the point her skin is breaking.
I can not say enough good things about The Learning Lab, my oldest daughter is very shy and timid so finding a place that welcomed her and made her feel comfortable has truly been a blessing for our family!
My children have been here for a little over a year. My children love their teachers and have become very close to the staff. It's their home away from home! They teach them everything they will need to know in kinder! My kiddos love it!
UNPROFESSIONAL. - FIND ANOTHER DAYCARE
I got a voicemail on a friday saying they were dis enrolling my son from daycare because they can't "accommodate him" and his last day is May 12th. This should have been a face to face conversation by the decision maker but who knows who that is because apparently no one wants to take accountability for their actions. When I spoke to Amanda about the voicemail she left me about they "can't accommodate" it was never a straight answer. "He's not learning, other kids follow his actions" Every time I went to go pick up my son they told me "he had a great day, we enjoy him". Every time I walked in my son is in a high chair because they don't know what to do with him. While talking to Amanda the caregiver in my son's class interrupts our conversation to put her two cents in it saying "in the handbook we don't need to give you a notice" What type of establishments hires people that have zero patience & compassion to work with kids? Shouldn't she be watching the kids instead of letting the "director in charge" (Amanda) tell us what's going on? Also be prepare for them to give you a few day notice to let you know that the daycare will be closed on a weekday for them to do "work on the building". I found it weird that the owner or director LaTesha took a picture with my son a few days prior before giving me the notice about my son's dis enrollment and posted it on the app. I've never seen her do that before and why does she feel comfortable doing that? She's the main one telling me how much she "loves my son, we love having him here" IDK this place is weird. Don't bring your kids here.
Love all the teachers and staff, my child is always happy when I pick him up and is always excited when I drop him off in the morning
I’ve been in childcare for 10 years almost 11. I’ve been working here since November 2021. The Learning Lab center definitely goes over and beyond for the children and what they need. We do our very best to Accommodate all families. We as a team are Always reaching out for any advice we can to make our center better and learning everyday. I’m so glad to be a part of the team/family. As the child becomes a part of your family also. I enjoy my job everyday and the hugs and smiles you get when the kids come in just make your day.
I have been in child care for a very long time. I very much enjoy working at the Learning Lab it's a family oriented environment. Everyone here is treated with kindness and respect from the employees to the children and even the parents. Thank you Ms. La Tesha and the Team!
I don't know if my child is mine or Latesha's ️ but I just love how Latesha and her staff loves my child as if their own.
The learning lab is a remarkable daycare to work. I am a former teacher and working with the four to six years kids very first time. I realized that everyone is so helpful and nice, especially the director. God bless you all.
Latesha is so professional and one of the most amazing people I've ever met. Her care for the children shows in the staff that she hired, And the care that is provided. I feel like sending my children there is like sending them to a trusted family member. Where you know that your children will be loved, nurtured, educated and cared for. My children love the learning Lab and always want to stay when it's time to go home.
As a parent finding quality childcare can be very challenging. My wife and I have been looking for a daycare in the area and gratefully we came across The Learning Lab. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. I am provided with daily updates via the Brightwheel app, I'm constantly in the know of what my child is doing throughout the day. My son has learned so much and looks forward to being dropped off at daycare. I am a very pleased parent.
The only reason we stayed for so long, and the reason for any stars, is because of Amanda. Amanda was absolutely wonderful with my daughter, but when she was gone for the day was when all of the issues seemed to occur. My daughter came home with scratches and bruises every other day that I received no explanations for, and when asked, the teachers always stated they didn’t know and even told me that she was not being watched at one point. She came home with a pretty good sized splinter in her hand one day which I noticed the second I went to wash her hands that teachers also had no clue about. They claim to wash their hands every diaper change so I’m not sure how something like that would go unnoticed if that’s the case. Daily I would walk in to see all of the kids sitting in chairs watching videos and random movies on the iPad, definitely made me wonder what all of my money was going to, she can watch tv at home. At one point I walked in and my daughter was being yanked up by her arms and when I informed the teacher that could easily pop a child’s arms out of socket doing that, she had no idea.she did not seem to be properly trained on how to safely pick up a child. Those are only a few of the things that took place unfortunately. I hope things at this center get better and teachers can be better trained.
