The Lodge on Route 66 reviews
20Every time I go through this part of I40 I try to spend a night. Fabulous accommodations and yes another great stay in the books. Please don't change, this is my favorite place to stay in the country. I tell everyone about you.
The rooms are totally cool in my opinion. More like a small apartment. Furnished in a "Western" style and just cool. (We had the Santa Monica room) We felt really comfortable and we could easily have spent several nights here. It is only about an hour from the Grand Canyon National Park. It is a 2-minute walk into the "town" and that was definitely worth a visit. We were very satisfied. I wouldn't call breakfast breakfast.
We Stayed near the end of April in one of the upgraded rooms. Very nice, clean, and quiet. The Staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating!
The rooms were great! They we clean. The beds were comfy they had cable and wifi. The breakfast was great. Overall perfect. Would definitely stay here again.
Overall the family loved this motel. Our room was clean and well maintained. Continental breakfast was small but adequate. Only 3 things that would have made our trip better - a sink in the kitchenette area! We usually book suites so we can cater to food allergies but washing my re-usable items in the bathroom was a bummer when there could easily be a sink (in fact website photos show a sink in the suite, though not listed in the description.) Second, one of the heater was obnoxiously loud so we would turn it off before bed. Lastly, nite for those with children and devices, the wifi was weak. We'd stay here again, even without these fixes
This is a renovated route
66 hotel. They have done a great job keeping the feel of the old road hotel yet clean, updated and well appointed.
Staying in the US and driving a 4 day roadtrip staying a different hotels every night, the Lodge was easily the most comfortable night's sleep I had. Great location, staff and room.
I regret to say that our experience with this hotel was deeply unsatisfactory. Despite having made a reservation and being aware of their 24 hour cancellation policy, our travel plans were unfortunately disrupted by inclement weather. We attempted to inform the hotel as soon as we knew that Williams was impossible to reach, but they did not care.
In addition to the issues we encountered with the cancellation policy, we were also disappointed to find that the hotel was not willing to accommodate our request to stay for an extra night free of charge. Given the circumstances of the weather and all the roads being closed, we had hoped that the hotel would be able to show some flexibility and understanding by allowing us to extend our stay.
To our great disappointment, the receptionist we spoke with the next day was not only unhelpful, but downright rude and disrespectful. We’ve tried to ask for a refund but she kept repeating hotel’s policies. We also encountered difficulty when attempting to obtain documentation from the hotel that would support our claim with the insurance company. We approached the receptionist and requested that she provide us with a statement confirming that the weather conditions were severe and that Williams was literally impossible to reach.
Indeed the hotel tried to get in touch with us asking wether we’ll make it on time but since we come from outside the US, we had no data to check the messages.
Given the unpleasant and unprofessional treatment we received from the receptionist, I would strongly advise against booking a stay at this hotel. It is deeply disappointing to encounter such poor customer service, especially in a hospitality industry where the comfort and satisfaction of guests should be a top priority.
This is a very cute Route 66 motor lodge. The room was clean, lots of towels, even a makeup towel, very comfy bed and linens. It was cold when we were in Williams so we did have to use the heater, it worked well keep a nice even temp and was not overly noisy. They have a continental breakfast, nothing special but the coffee was very good. Cute little store in the office. Would definitely stay there again.
Best place to stay in Williams. Right on the main street, walking distance to shops, bars, and restaurants. Cozy rooms that are contemporary and clean. Great service!
The front desk attendant was very friendly at check-in. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean. Excellent location to walk main street for dinner and entertainment.
Nice rooms and friendly staff. Would recommend and would stay again. Remember there is a railway within half a mile and you will hear it. Also take note that you will hear it if you are in Williams. They also serve breakfast which was so so. But overall as far as value, friendly staff and location, it is still a recommend.
The bed was broken in and I sank to the center. But I still loved the location and the area and the fact of a cozy little room. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The Lodge was exactly as promised. Cozy and clean with a welcoming staff. We stayed two nights so we could take our dad to the Grand Canyon for his 80th birthday. The beds were so comfy and the rooms immaculately clean. Breakfast offerings were great. The wonderful service at The Lodge added so much to our enjoyment of this time with our dad. We had a problem with our keys on the second night, and we were assisted quickly and cheerfully, even though it was really late. I hope to go back soon. Thank you!
Can't say enough good things about this experience thank you Lodge folks and the young lady who helped us figure out a lamp issue.
Very dated decor; A/C units put out an odd smell; tiny rooms; old dumpy square bed pillows; no air flow in the breakfast area.
Breakfast was great, the rooms were super clean, smelled fresh and the showers were nice. 10/10 would come here again, nice location for walking around the town.
Easy check in and out. Front desk person very friendly. Excellent breakfast and great coffee. Great location easy to walk to all shops and restaurants. Highly recommended and would definitely return.
Cozy and cute hotel on Route 66. Walking distance to historic downtown, restaurants and bars. Clean
rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast is included.
We stayed at Roadway Inn and The lodge across the street owns it as well. The place was very clean. The beds were so comfy and pillows were literally the best. The office staff was great. If you want a good meal that isn’t diner or bar food definitely eat at the Red Raven restaurant it’s delicious!
