I would give this business zero stars if possible! They are insensitive, unprofessional, and incompetent. They overcharge and they don’t know how to carry out the operations they were trained to do. Including euthanasia. Having to put a pet down is one of the hardest things a person will ever do and the Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic made it that much harder…. I would desperately urge people to seek pet services anywhere else… These people are not interested in helping you or your pet. They want your money and they don’t care about anything else…

My cat was having major constipation issues with megacolon and had to be held for a few nights, Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic kept me informed and let me know my options for care throughout the process. Staff was caring and compassionate to my cats needs. Would highly recommend to any pet owner.

I can't even begin to properly express my disdain with this establishment. DO NOT BRING YOUR PETS HERE. Reflecting on visits over the years, every time we walked into this place for whatever reason, they tried to sell us on something. After 20 years of frequenting this place, a couple bad encounters we tried to look past because I mean let's be honest - NO ONE can be perfect all the time - but after the most recent miserable experience we went through with a home euthanasia with these people, I certainly will NEVER be returning. The Scottsdale Vet Clinic is the sole reason I will never trust another vet again. We've spent so much money here over the years and it just hurts me to feel this way about it. Please, save yourself. Save your animals. Don't waste hours waiting in this clinic - go elsewhere. I am begging you. People have literally sued this business for the death of their pets in the past. Look it up. Do your research. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere, and give your pets a fighting chance somewhere that cares. TSVC is NOT IT! They don't take ownership of their mistakes. They don't listen. They don't work with you. It's their way or get out and that's just a horrible way to do business in any industry. I implore you - go elsewhere. Our pup was 18y/o, only ever taken to this vet consistently, and she died a miserable death thanks to these incompetent and money hungry pieces of trash.

Scottsdale Veterinary Clinic was absolutely wonderful in handling the recent passing of our elderly dog. He suddenly became ill and our regular vet was unable to see him. We didn’t know he was as critical as he was but the team triaged and examined him extremely quickly and professionally. When it was determined Jack was terminal, Dr Gans was so kind and handled our situation with the utmost grace and sensitivity. We are so grateful we brought Jack here for his final hours. Thank you to the team for handling our terribly situation so wonderfully and making Jack’s final hours comfortable.

I was called in with in 15-20 minutes after i arrived. During Corona, I was called in 3-4 hours after I made an appointment.
The help was very loving, and informative.
I would recommend them to anyone.

I brought my 1.5 year old dog there for an ER visit because she cracked her tooth. We were seen within 30 minutes, staff and doctor were professional, and gave us medicine for our pup to hold her over. They got her in for surgery within 48 hours, and sent me a text the following day to check in on her. She has had a great recovery and I appreciate everything this clinic did for my dog.

If you have a dachshund, do not bring them here. Worst experience ever.
Clearly they don’t have enough knowledge and definitely no neurology specialist there to help. Yet they will try to persuade you to have surgery right away even without a CT Scan or MRI.
Never again.

Very friendly and patient workers that listen and care for your pet. They explain things very well and give up front estimate that helps decide the path you want to choose.

This visit Dr. Hertz is a great Vet who listened to my goals for my dogs health and accomodated care to suit our needs. My resources are limited since I give a lot to rescues, and he was understanding of my limitations and offered alternatives, while still presenting his recommendations for care fully.

All of the techs are amazing at TSVC! I take both my rescues there and stick with them for my primary because of the consistently good techs and front office support. When I have needed over the phone assistance they have always been great too. While there are vet options closer, I keep them as primary since they have emergency support 24 hr if needed. Gives me peace of mind if something were to happen that my dogs will go to their same primary care.

Our dog, Honey, was throwing up and had diarrhea. They got us in right away. The clinic has in-house x-ray and blood tests, so the results came back to us while we were there. Honey had to stay overnight at the hospital and is now home and all better! The vets and vet techs were very kind, professional and answered all our questions. I would take our dogs there again!

We take both service dog & my Husband’s ESA cat to TSVC.

We trust all the doctors and techs with both our furry ones. Everyone is caring & supportive, the extra plus is their open 24/7/365 for any kind of emergency.

This clinic was refered to me with high regards. However, upon arrival. My gut feeling was to cancel the appointment but we TRUSTED this Clinic. We unfortunately entrusted the wrong clinic. More updates will be posted.

I took my dog to get his teeth cleaned as well as get him updated on his vaccinations. The check in was easy and I didn’t wait for too long to be seen for intake. The Technician that spoke with me was pleasant and professional. He went over what all was going to be done and double checked what vaccines were to be administered. I appreciated when the vet called and gave me an update on how my dog was doing as well as doing an additional check on one of the vaccines to be given, in case I wasn’t sure what that vaccine was for since it was an optional one (Leptospirosis). Pick up was easy, and since they’re 24 hours, if the pickup time that is given doesn’t work, they’re able to be flexible, which is nice. The bill wasn’t cheap lol but I mean when is medical care ever cheap? I definitely think the quality of care that was provided to my dog is worthy of the price tag. The medical record they give you after your visit is nice too, comes with before and after pictures of the dental work, which is neat and proof of work

Dr. Courtney Blackmon is an amazing person. She really takes the time to help figure out your pets concerns. I think she truly loves and cares for animals. Being a veterinarian is not just a job for her.

This place went downhill a year ago. We've had multiple negative encounters here in the past year.beginning with the expensive misdiagnosis of our cat who ended up having advanced colon cancer (they told us his diabetes was in remission) - luckily we got him promptly seen and operated on by the great staff at S-dale Cat Clinic. At TSVC, we haven't seen the same doctor twice and all of them are new (we've been going here 5 years!). The last few encounters were entirely unproductive and at one late night encounter the desk staff were openly rude to me (there were 3 of them for some reason). I could get more specific, but honestly who cares- there are so many better places now. Even though TSVC is right around the corner, I'm never coming back. I've finally learned my lesson. For 24hrs we go to the better equipped AVECC in Gilbert, at least they care and are super friendly. For regular care we go to the Scottsdale Cat Clinic, who we've grown to adore, they are so sincere:)

after manager response I took the time to read more of the reviews.the commonality is that patients are ignored for the large inflow of other patients that are seen here. The doctors have gone down in quality and attentiveness (seriously it seems they come right out of vet/med school) and in my experience have been horrible listeners. The front desk staff are just rude and act like they don't have time for you. This clinic made the choice a year or two ago to pride themselves in quantity and profit over quality and actual care. Sorry you feel this way manager, but I've been a client for over 10yrs here and this is the worst management I've seen. This is my opinion, and the appropriate place to post it.
