The Secret Garden Café, Sedona AZ

Very pleasant dinner experience with amazing vegan options. We sat in the garden which was lovely & we had the vegan Rueben & portobello sandwich. Both were delicious but the Reuben was next level. Highly recommend it.

This is our favorite place to eat in Sedona. We usually get breakfast, which is always delicious. This was our first time getting lunch, which was also delicious. Great ambiance, especially sitting outside in the back garden. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

Ok, this place left an impression on me unlike the numerous places we are while spending a week in Sedona!

We got the daily special, and it was special oh boy, the chicken nachos. The Guacamole was fresh, the chicken seasoned and cooked to perfection, veggies beautifully presented and that creamy queso topped the dish off nicely.

We also shared the Carne a la Plancha. I've never been sad to eat vegetables. But the broccoli, carrots and mashed potatoes were all perfectly done and well presented. The meat, tri-tip, was masterfully cooked with a great chipotle seasoning and a small bit of salsa to top off the meal.

I don't suppose y'all want to move to another state huh? LOL, I don't want others to miss out on the chance to sample your menu. Stay there will be back!

The outdoor seating is charming and truly has a secret garden feel. We are vegan and there were several options that looked good. The Chile Relleno was excellent. The vegan Reuben used mock chicken so it was a bit odd but still tasty. The chocolate cake was pretty dry but rich. Our server was excellent. They even offered food options for our dogs!

I had the most amazing lunch here while visiting the shops in Sedona! The BLTA sandwich, Gorgonzola coleslaw and prickly pear margarita were excellent. I sat outside in the garden patio. My server was very attentive and quick. I would highly recommend trying this place out.

Not your typical place where you expect the same! Try such a flavored omelette in a tourist place does not happen often, I hug the Cheff I did show him appreciation, that’s what you do when they cook like is for their Family ️God bless this place with goodness.

My husband and I stopped in for an early morning pre hike breakfast. The staff was fast and friendly. The environment is absolutely gorgeous! You really do feel like you are in a secret garden. I had the tofu vegan plate and my husband had French toast! They were both extremely tasty dishes. We would definitely recommend this place!

I've been to this spot two times. The food is good and the atmosphere enjoyable. On both occasions I sat on the patio and enjoyed the garden around the cafe while local musicians played beautiful music. Close to lots of nice shops and the creek as well.

We came here for breakfast before shopping in this quaint little plaza. The atmosphere is lovely, so picturesque! The food was good, I had the veggie omelette with potatoes. Generous portions and yummy flavors. The quiche is a must try is quiches are your thing. My friends got the huevos rancheros and the crossaint sandwich and weren’t too crazy about those dishes. The cocktails were decent, kinda watered down. Come to cool down and take in the lovely Spanish-inspired area.

Excellent food and great service! Cocktails were just ok, the food is where the action is at! The Taco Salad Bowl is absolutely a must try! Cozy, romantic garden seating. Perfect for a first date or anniversary lunch/dinner!

Just ok, at best. Had the chicken salad, less than a half cup of mayo drenched chicken salad on a plate of greens with soggy, limp cucumbers, a few nuts and a super tart dressing. Not worth 17.00. Won't be coming here again

Nice place to grab a lite bite to eat in a lovely setting. Located in tilaquepaque village, the restaurant has indoor and great shaded, outdoor seating. Pets are allowed on the patio. Ordered the chicken pablano sandwich which was great. Very fresh ingredients and could tell everything was made to order. The bread was delicious also ️. Ordered the chips which paired well with the sandwich. Portion sizes are ok and unfortunately the Cole slaw was not to my liking as it included raisins. Lots of salad choices and light fare. Def recommend if your looking for a good lunch spot in tilaquepaque village

They are straw free so if you want a straw be sure to bring your own. I appreciated that the caprese sandwich came with a decent sized portion of fruit and was a good size. The atmosphere was very nice under the covered patio and the staff was friendly. I don't think I'd pay $15 for the chips and guacamole again but for a tourist town most entrées are a fair price and everything we ordered was tasty!

Wow what a meal! The secret garden cafe is a must when you visit Sedona. There will probably be a wait so get there early! They stop serving breakfast and switch to lunch at 11: 30, they do this because it’s all fresh and amazing food. I ordered the fajita steak sandwich and my hid it was perfect. The meat was great quality and it was cooked perfectly juicy and so much flavor! Jolene got the prickly pear lemonade and the Quiche. This was the best Quiche I’ve ever tasted. The waitress was amazing she suggested the steak sandwich. After you can shop at Tlaquepaque or while your waiting.

Tlaquepaque is a must-stop for me every time I visit Sedona. And the Secret Garden Cafe (and the Chai Spot) are my fave places to eat and drink! Our server (Rafael) was kind, attentive, and thoughtful. I hope they don't mind if we ask for him again! Hummus pizza was delish, and the atmosphere can't be beat. Good vibes, good food, good peeps!:)

Unfortunately the young female manager working in the afternoon on 5-29-22 couldn't have cared less that our experience at the restaurant left lots to desired. When you place a takeout order, the customer expects to have the condiments & utensils needed placed inside of the bag prior to being given the order. We had to go back and ask for the condiments. Then we realized that we didn't have utilities. Then a substitution was made for my side without any notification (odd since they had our phone number). Finally I realized that my beverage wasn't a screw-off top & needed a bottle opener. So I had to go back in again to have the cap taken off. Sadly, I took a sip only to realize that it wasn't cold.

I asked to speak to the manager & explained our experience with our order. With an attitude she replied with "we're doing the best we can" and "we've been having problems with our refrigeration system". It was as if this manager was uninterested in hearing anything that I had to say. When I pointed out that this is the experience that her customers who write reviews get, it's not good. She literally shrugged her shoulders.

She grudgingly refunded the cost of my beverage. By this time I was just astonished by her lack of ability to resolve the situation.

The food was good. The staff behind the bar was pleasant, the manager needs training and an attitude adjustment.

Great breakfast! Pancakes were perfection with fluffy center and crispy edges. Any place that serves real maple syrup is instantly on my good side. Potatoes were cooked to perfection and were actually a combination of purple yams, sweet potato, and regular potatoes with rosemary.

This cafe was a total grand slam! The atmosphere is beautiful. Plenty of covered outdoor seating nestled in gorgeous gardens and flower beds. The drinks were delicious. The menu offered traditional cafe style foods but with twists that elevated the food. I had the fajita steak sandwich and it was full of flavor and the portion size was spot on. The server was friendly. The service was on the laid back side so I wouldn't go if you're in a hurry.
I don't think you'd be disappointed with anything here.

Like another poster said, weird behavior. I walk in at 10: 40AM. No customers are inside and there are 3 people behind counter just standing there. The blonde looks at me and goes "what? " I refused to respond to her nasty demeanor. The apparent manager politely asks how he can help. I said breakfast please to mgr. The blond chirped off a loud "no". The manager said sure we still have 17min for kitchen with breakfast and he took my order. Food was fine, manager and other employee were nice so 3 stars. I would have left, but i wanted to sit there and slowly consume my food and mimosas while irritating the blond with only my presence. Fools. Go eat somewhere else if you want real service.

Tables outside are for takeout orders only. Takeout orders are placed over the phone or online.
- I said since I’m here can I place a takeout order with you?
- “No you’ll need to call us”.
- So if I stand here and call you and we look at each other as I’m talking to you on the phone, you’ll then take my order? ”
- “Yes”

This type of nonsense isn’t acceptable.

Also, owners Jeep has SG Cafe license plate and is always parked in the closest spot to the cafe, taking it from customers. Most businesses avoid doing this. All around poorly run restaurant that lost our business.
