The Trend at 51 Apartment Homes, Phoenix AZ

I lived at the trend from Oct 2020 - Oct 2021 and had an amazing experience while living there. For starters, it's an amazing location. It's central to all of the Phoenix area with a ton of restaurants, bars, and shops within 5 minutes. The actual units and building amenities speak for themselves. You can't beat the amazing rooftop pool and every unit has a spacious patio. I've lived in a lot of apartments over the years, and I think what separates The Trend from others is the incredible staff. Both Danielle and Kristi make the community feel like home - always finding fun things to celebrate and having thoughtful gifts for residents (and their pups). They also try to bring the community together by hosting fun events for residents. Lastly, the maintenance staff was very friendly, professional and prompt with any issues I had. Overall - I would highly recommend the Trend at 51 if you are looking for an apartment home.

Updated review; the best feature of the Trend is the rooftop pool and that hasn’t been properly maintained in about 3-1/2 months. Things are gradually going downhill with repairs and simple things being unattended to.

I’m really happy with my decision to move into The Trend. The amenities are so great and living by the Biltmore you have accessibility to just about everything you need; shopping, restaurants, bars, mountain trails, golf etc. Andrea and Bethany are always great to deal with in the front office. One thing I will note, is the walls are a little thin, but luckily the neighbors are respectful so it hasn’t been an issue. If it wasn’t obvious, the pool is also second to none!

Pros:
1. Manager Kristi is very nice, patient and work efficiently;
2. Quite neighborhood;
3. Good amenity
4. Smooth mail delivery, mostly to your door front

Cons:
1. Maintenance inaction; I moved in 1 month and have already found refrigerator and water heater broken. I have to submit multiple service ticket and call to let people really fix them. Also, the washer/dryer and dishwasher are relatively dirty as move-in condition. (lots of cat fur in washer; thick lime/rust in dishwasher) I spent extra time and money to clean them up.
2. Though looks beautiful, it is a poorly constructed building. Walls are so thin that I can hear my neighbor making sound to a degree that wakes me up. I can hear their conversation too. Floors are very sound transmissive and vibration transmissive, too.
3. Very limited storage space designed in unit.

Hands down the best apartment staff you will ever encounter. There’s a true sense of family here and that’s something you can’t buy. Coming up on our 4th year and couldn’t be happier. You will not find a better place to live for the area and price. And you will not find a staff that cares about your wants and needs more than The Trend. Danielle, Christy, and Jess will go above and beyond for you each and every time. Come be my neighbor! And let’s relax on our the rooftop pool!

I enjoy living here. The manager Kristy is so helpful. She is always smiling and so friendly and willing to help even though she runs the whole complex by herself. The maintenance manager always says hi and keeps all the garbage picked up. I had a friend visit from California last weekend and it was so exciting to show off my apartment and the roof top pool. The only recommendation I would say is to hire another person in the office.

I moved into the Trend in June of 2020, in the middle of the COVID-19 shutdown. Let me tell you, there was not a better place to spend that crazy season than this apartment complex. My unit is spacious, open, and modern; I get phenomenal light from the floor-to-ceiling windows, the high-efficiency appliances ensure my electrical bill doesn't get too high, and the awesome staff do everything they can to make living here fun and enjoyable.
Let's talk amenities: HAVE YOU SEEN THE POOL? ! You won't find a pool with better looks and better views anywhere in the valley. The mountains are unobstructed by the city below so you get to take in all the beauty of the desert. The clubhouse and fitness center are also on the rooftop, so there's so much to do and no reason to be bored living at the Trend.

Underwhelmed. This place prides itself on quiet hours and being “livable” for anyone yet dogs bark all through the night, and the walls are paper thin. I have a neighbor below me that has a dog which she leaves when she goes to work during her night shift (5pm - 3am). As you can guess her dog is barking from 6pm - 3am all night. This has been going on since November and we have told the office about it several times. First they did not believe us.and now they are saying she is doing everything she can. We pay $1550 per month for a 1 bedroom apartment for it to not be OUR problem (the resident). Also the “movie theater” has not worked since we moved in, in July 2020. So if that is one of the reasons you want to move here.reconsider. Will give you guys updates.

I have been at The Trend@51 since the beginning and have just renewed my lease for another 13 months. This is the most desirable neighborhood in Phoenix and we are in the heart of it. Between the incredible views, the best pool and rec facility in town and the extraordinary staff; I won't be leaving anytime soon. Everybody looking for a very cool place to live should check the Trend out. You can be "Trendy" like the rest of us! 5 Stars from this resident!

I’ve lived at Trend since 2017 and my apartment is my sanctuary. The leasing office staff make you feel like family. They are all about community and enhancing the residents’ experience. Even after the pandemic hit, they came up with creative ways to cheer us up through weekly activities (virtual or socially distanced). More importantly, they are incredibly supportive of the residents (I dare say, they’ll fight for you). The maintenance, cleaning, and security teams are friendly and very responsive. Get to know the team. They are wonderful. I’ve also been lucky enough to have quiet and respectful neighbors. Trend has great amenities: a beautiful rooftop pool, fitness center and clubhouse with coffee/tea all day long.

I cannot say enough great things about the the trend at 51 and my experience since my girlfriend and I moved in 3 months ago. The cleaning ladies and the maintenance guys Anthony and David you can tell they take pride in their work and are always so friendly! Andrea and Bethany in the leasing office have been so helpful in the moving process and staying in tune with their residents. And the rooftop pool and workout facility is the cherry on top. We consider ourselves lucky that we found the Trend at 51!

Stunning views, great amenities! The pool is on the roof top and you get 180 degree look at Phoenix. It’s my favorite part of the building that I️ can’t wait to show my friends when they come over. Gated garage parking is a plus, but guest parking does tend to fill up. However, guests do get to park in the garage as well, which I️ think is a plus. My apartment is on the first floor, very spacious with high ceilings which makes my one bedroom feel roomier. Only downside is there are no ceiling fans. I️ had learned that it is a “commercial building” in which ceiling fans cannot be installed. Total bummer, but it wasn’t a deal breaker. My floor fan has worked wonders. The leasing staff is awesome, especially Andrea! They are very attentive and care about getting to know their residents. Nurturing a sense of community is very important to them. Did I️ mention location? It is in the middle of everything from shopping to eclectic dining spots. I’m on year two and highly recommend the Trend for those that are interested in living here!

Me and my wife lived here for a year. Andrea was our first contact and out of 5 places we visited she was the reason why we chose Trend. On top of that, the rooftop pool is amazing! Resort style!

I’ve only been a resident for a few months, but I’m glad I relocated to Trend at 51. Not only is it in a prime location; close to the freeway, restaurants and shopping, the complex is quiet and relaxing. The view from the pool/clubhouse is second to none with clear views of Camelback, Squaw Peak and Downtown. 100% approved

I live here and I just love it.really nice neighbors on both sides. We are all friends here b.definitely you will have your privacy. I love love ️ the size of the studio. As for the office staff I have not met better.if you have an issue its addressed asap I'm 60 which makes me one of the older people here but all the Young folks have made me feel like dad. I so love our pool and spa our roof top can't be beat and our view of the mountains and city are. Amazing

We’ve loved our time here. The office girls are so friendly and helpful, and the rooftop pool is absolutely unbeatable. Location is prime, just a couple blocks from tons of stores including Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Michael’s, Ulta. Maintenance issues are few and far between and are addressed quickly. Buildings are dog friendly and neighbors are respectful for the most part. Happy to live here and would absolutely renew if we weren’t needing to upgrade to a 2BR!

I've been living here for 5 months so far and can say that it is hands down the nicest place I've ever rented. The views (especially from the rooftop pool) are amazing. It's like living in a resort. The office staff is extremely nice and helpful, I would definitely recommend that anyone looking for an apartment in the area check out the Trend at 51.

I have lived at Trend at 51 for about 10 months now and have had a very positive experience. Here’s why:

-The layout of the apartments are unique and they are very competitively priced when compared to other comparable-sized apartments in the surrounding area.
-Every interaction I’ve had with someone who works here has been pleasant, from the front office staff to the maintenance crew.
-Needs of any type are handled in a very timely manner, whether it be a maintenance request or package hold, etc.
-The overall ambience of the building is relaxing and the grounds are cared for daily.
-The building is dog-friendly and I have met several neighbors because of this. The park nearby has been great for dog walking and several neighbors are regulars.
-The rooftop pool is amazing! Truly lovely views of Camelback, etc. The gym is well-equipped and should you want to use the club house for games, etc.it is rarely full of people.

Overall, I think this is a great apartment complex and I have enjoyed living here. I have lived in several different apartment complexes now and I can definitely say that the staff here have been more attentive than any I have ever interacted with. I feel a lot of effort is put into trying to make this a nice place for everyone to live with a level of personal interaction from time to time that takes it a step above many other complexes!

I absolutely love living at the Trend at 51! The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful — always there to address any issues (which have been extremely minor and few and far between). And I LOVE my studio apartment with 14’ windows! Not to mention, the rooftop pool is to die for and friends come over all the time to swim! So thankful I found this community and thankful for the kind staff members who make it such a great community (even planning activities like wine and paint nights, networking events and so forth)!

We lived here for a year and loved every minute! Andrea was fabulous and took great care of us. Our view was gorgeous, the amenities fit our lives and they always added special touches to celebrate holidays (gift wrapping area around Christmastime, parties up in the clubhouse, pizza nights.) we highly recommend Trend at 51!
