The UPS Store reviews
18I recently went to this store and the Manager Kristi was horrible. This was the worst experience i ever had. Her lack of professionalism and kindness was disgusting. Not only did she escalate the situation she started to treat her employees with the same lack of respect. I can’t believe anyone would want to work under horrible conditions with a manager like that. She truly lacks any basic human decency. Please don’t waste your time and go to another store. Kristi’s miserable life reflects through her work and tries to bring everyone down with her. Avoid this place at all costs
I sent a 27" iMac to my sis in California from Arizona, and it arrived banged up even though they did a good job of packing it up. As it turns out it is a 6 week long process to get the insurance pay out.
The frustrating part is that UPS Capital Claims (the company used by all UPS stores to process damage claims) provides customers a useless number that sends you straight to a hang-up.
The amazing part of the process was this store and how they stayed on top of the insurance adjuster at UPS Cap. Claims to make sure that my claim kept moving through the pipe-line. Krissi at this store even called me after my claim was approved to let me know that the check had been cut and mailed.
The bottom line for me is that not all independently owned UPS stores have such amazing and thoughtful folks working behind the desk. It was a big let down to have the mac damaged on arrival, but these guys and especially Krissi, earned my business for life.
As a business operator, I have to say that I'm stunned at the amazing job Kristie does at this location. Always friendly and helpful and seems to set an incredible example for her employees. It's rare to see such a genuine approach to coaching and developing employees. Anything I've every asked for has always been handled quickly and with a smile and I couldn't be more happy with this store and its owner and crew! You guys rock!
If I was able to leave NO STARS on this review, I would.
Kristi Caton is the most disrespectful and incompetent owner/manager. Being a store manager/owner, you think she would feel the need to convey showing even artificial pleasantries to her workers/customers. But she does not. She clearly has anger issues because she will slam different items around the store in front of customers and employees also swearing in front of them, its almost like watching a small child throw a temper tantrum when they do not get what they want. She is an incompetent and unprofessional manager that has no problem being disrespectful and verbally abusive to past workers and will not honor previously approved requests.
I found the store very clean and well stocked. People have different ideas and opinions, we live in a world where everyone and everything is bad. It takes just as much time to express a kind word than a nasty one. Being kind goes a long way. People should try doing that more often. I have worked mostly small business and independent owners. For me they were better than big box stores who could care less.
The manager likes to belittle the employees. Very inconsiderate and lacks professionalism! In response to how owner treats employees. I’d like to add that calling a person incompetent at lying as your are counting and retaining basic information. That is not very good example or very good coaching. She might say it with a smile but it’s still bullying. Just because you are the owner it doesn’t give you the right to treat anyone that way!
Warning!
they are experienced and quick.they took a $100+ return without a label
and returned to amazon.thus NO CREIDIT
NEED TO MATCH TRACKING NUMBER GIVEN BY AMAZON TO UPS RECEIPT ISSUED BY UPS STORE.to avoid getting screwed.ups store doesn't.
Chrissy and Hannah are logistical experts available to provide professional and friendly service. Thank you!
Due to my bad experiences with upgrading my phone and all the return hassel, I was feeling rather PI##Y, but that all went way after the fine customer service of Krissie.
Suggest avoiding this store. They charge a dollar and a half for a foot of tape to seal a box.
This place is amazing!
I got to work with Krissy, and I've never had anyone handle my package so carefully.
She took her time and was very patient and helpful making sure I got all of the services I needed to ensure my package was safe during it's long journey.
I'll definitely be back!
Thank you so much.
I highly recommend that you do not use this UPS store! I went in today to do an Amazon return. The whole box was taped up except the little flap so they could see inside and know that I am returning the item. I left it open on purpose thinking that they would need to see what was inside. I was told that it would cost 1.50 to tape up my box. I told them that I just needed a few inches of tape to close the flap, not enough to tape up the whole box. I asked to speak with the manager. She said that they would lose money if they did not charge 1.50. I explained that I just needed a few inches. She said that I would have to pay. They are making money charging amazon customers 1.50 for a few inches of tape. I can understand a quarter or something, but 1.50 for hardly anything. It just doesn't make sense. I asked if it could be waived this one time since I didn't know and she said no. I will not be going back. They are rude, uncaring, and making a lot of money off the customers.
MaryLee and Krissy (hope I spelled it right) were amazing! We had a difficult return, sending a computer and monitor back and the return instructions were less than helpful. Both Krissy and MaryLee did their best to puzzle out a solution in a timely and expedient way. It took longer than anyone anticipated (those darn directions), but both remained upbeat, positive and reassuring. Phenomenal customer service on a day which was undoubtedly was pretty stressful after a holiday. Definitely will be coming back when we need to mail something out.:)
I was charged $1.50 for one piece of tape due to inflation. No receipt for the charge. I provided everything but one piece of tape. Not going back.
I have been coming here for over a year and have had great and reliable service. They went over and beyond today to make sure I got my package. I redirected it to be held here and the tracking showed it got delivered but it wasn’t there. They took my information down and only a few hours later they called me to tell me they got my package. They got it from the driver later in the day and held it for me. Thank you!
After two years of using this service, I am very glad to be leaving. Now, if only they didn't insist on signatures and more fees to let me go. My annually-pre-paid service is going to expire in two weeks. Isn't that enough? Why do I need to pay more unjustified fees when I prepaid everything to begin with? Why do I need to sign and agree to things I don't want to agree to because I am leaving? You have my money. Let it go at that. And don't threaten to throw my mail away if I don't agree to additional fees to stop the service. You are over in civil suit territory by threatening to break your end of the deal: receive and hold my mail. I should be able to rely on that until my service is over, which it is not yet. If you throw it away as you threatened, I will want to see what a judge says. Straighten up and act like a legit business, not a pushy fee grabber.
You got that whole communication wrong. You stepped in as your counter people just finishing telling me about throwing my mail away and under which circumstances that would happen. Imagine hearing that. And they insisted that I sign and pay a fee too. The rudeness originated from your people, not me. Unnecessary. I changed my address with the Post Office. Now after my term expires we're done.unless you would like to misrepresent something else, in which case I will argue with you again.
Elizabet and Leslie were phenomenal! Patient, friendly, and super strong to boot.couldn't ask for better service!
Always seems to be a line at this location, but they're pretty quick so it's never a super long wait. Staff here is always polite.
