The Yard Milkshake Bar reviews
17Amazing place. Stopped in when staying nearby for a business trip. The ice cream was great and the cookie dough was also super tasty. The service was great. The location is really nice with beautiful historic art deco buildings right across the street
Customer service was absolutely atrocious. My friend and I went in to get some dessert when we arrived the 2 workers were assisting previous customers. So we waited patiently. Workers never paid us any mind. Never greeted I guess we had our invisible suits on that night. The line started to get long at this point and they were both just standing there so I asked “hey are yall ready? ” And they just shrugged. Honestly the customer service alone made us leave and definitely won’t be back.
Taijon helped make this a special and fun experience for the kids! Huge portions and fun atmosphere.
Little bummed.the jar only had half a milkshake.the other half was whipped cream and chocolate chips.love the topping idea, but at least give a full jar of milkshake.the little bit of milkshake was good tho
The milkshakes were more milk than shake. It was underwhelming in flavor especially for the price. The presentation was overwhelming. It is not a yard we will return to. The pretty presentation did not outweigh the cost and flavor.
As someone who loves to find the best quality ice cream shops in every city I visit, this is not a standout. Consider this more of a single-visit tourist spot based on convenience if you're alrdy downtown.way overpriced, low quality baked goods, ice cream is very avg.mostly for ppl that just want photos of how they present the shakes.but the con of the presentation is be prepared for it to get messy w all the toppings they put on the outside of the jar/bowl.getting a little jar w the order is cool to some ppl.
Very expensive, but worth it for a one time experience. Me and my friend got a milkshake for 18 dollars. They let you keep the glass jar that the shake comes in… but they charge for lid separately. They also validate parking!
Went for a girls trip to Phoenix and stumbled upon this wonder. The menu is massive and customizable. They have milkshakes, cups of ice cream, ice cream in jars to take home, and mini ice cream bars. On top of that if you get the milkshake (which is huge) you get to take the jar home! 10/10, I need one in my home town.
Scott was amazing in helping us decide what to try for our very first visit! We will be back… even if we have to get on an airplane to do it.
Great milkshakes and bowls! Every time I'm downtown I grab something from there. They have a lactose free option, and mark everything that's gluten free as such.
Scott was wonderful and the store is absolutely charming! I love the variety, the service and the yummy flavors! So much fun!
This place is like someone had a really great idea for a concept in their head but ran out of funds to really make it come alive. We went on a Sunday evening. The lighting and music was really weird, almost like they were trying to put their patrons to sleep. Chairs were uncomfortable. We didn’t really feel like having a big messy shake, so we just got scoops. It was over 20 bucks for a medium and large (no toppings) plus tip. I don’t understand why they get Blue Bell ice cream. It is not a premium brand and we should have just gotten a few pints of Ben & Jerry’s and been happy.
If you are looking for vegan/dairy free ice cream do NOT go here. We have went multiple times to multiple locations and they have never been able to serve us any dairy free ice cream for our dairy allergy kids. They always have some excuse for not carrying the vegan ice cream. I emailed the establishment and while they apologized they stated that “ I can't guarantee that we will consistently have the vegan soft serve available“. If I could put zero stars, I would.
The place is short staffed and dirty. All the tables had crumbs on them or piles of melted ice cream on the floor. I cannot have dairy and they were unable to do their vegan options listed on the menu without an explanation. We specifically came in because of the October special, and were told they can't make those, without a reason as well. The single employee working was trying her best and getting the ice creams out quickly and looking Delicious. But unfortunately it is over priced and unreliable with the flavors offered in person.
Yummy ice cream! Milkshakes are huge and you can keep the glass. Very creative milkshakes.
LOVE! Such a fun place! Great employees, great ice cream and creations! Price was fair for getting the jar and how long it takes to put the shake together. All our needed was some music for the ambience. We had the Ghostbusters shake and the banana split milkshake.
Wait can be pretty long even late at night but it was pretty good! There’s also tons of options
