Tombstone Visitor's Center reviews
14I Love to visit Tombstone Arizona when they have Helldorado days. They celebrate Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday with a weekend festival during the year also plus the night time ghost tours. You can visit the old cemetery, take a stagecoach ride and get a history lesson about the area, visit the bird cage saloon and watch the shootouts in the street. Just a fun fun fun place to visit.
My Dad lived it, as he is a fan of the old Western movies and this visit made it real. He had a great time at the OK Corall show, having an ice cream outside Doc Halliday saloon
Kathy was lovely, helpful and a complete Professional! Thank you for the first of many visits! #templemastery
We are currently staying at an RV park in Tucson and heard both positive and negative things about Tombstone. We like to make our own decisions and decided to check it out for ourselves.
We went on a Tuesday and it was not very busy. We walked around and got a sense of the area - if you like both Western and history this is a cool place to check out.
We went on the stage coach tour (family of 4) and had the coach to ourselves. The ride was about 25 minutes and it took you around some if the historical streets. The driver was very knowledgeable and the speaker inside the coach was very clear! We even got to take our dog.
We then decided to take in the “Famous shoot out” show and they did a great job. Not only did you learn some of the history but the actors did a great job in their roles and were very funny - especially Frank.
There are lots of places to show and eat and very touristy but still a great place to go if you have never been. They appear to be very dog friendly with lots of water bowls around but not all places allow your dog inside so keep that in mind.
Friendly and very helpful. They helped us plan what to do and WHEN. Several shows around town with limited show times which generally end between 3-4 which makes it hard to see everything you want if not planned well. Good advice about what shows and attractions are better than others depending on you interests. Also had lots of info about stuff around AZ if interested.
Tomstone was my favorite western movie. We learn alot more about Tomstone after visiting. This is a must see if you are a western movie lover and a lover of history!
Took some time to visit #tombstone yesterday thinking it would be a really cool history lesson. ***WRONG***
Take away all the souvenir shops, a couple of restaurants and bars and what’s left is but a few people walking around in costume promoting the OK Corral gunfight re-enactment which they charge $10+ to watch. No thanks!
Go here to get information on all the best places in tombstone. Lady in there was really nice and helpful.
This was a fun spot to explore. Everything started to really get going at around 12pm. We missed the gun fight I. The Ok Coral but did catch the comedy in the small theme town. It was cute with a little history interwoven. The stagecoach ride was fun, I had always wanted to experience that. The guide was hard to understand and it went to fast to actually get pictures of what he was talking about. If you love the Earp story or Tombstone movie it is work the trip. I would definitely stop at Bird Cage Theater as it is the only original building still standing and has a great museum with intriguing artifacts.
Cool little town, but the nickel and dime fees take away from the historic feel of the town. Should have a one time fee to see all the events. Be family friendly to include the Tombstone museum. The vendors could lower their sale price and everyone in the area would benefit. Web site stated open at 0900 Am. The town's main street and events were closed and the main street started to come to life around 1100 am.
The exhibits were interesting, but the value was not realized. $7 each for a small building.
It's all about what the past was like our history the shows are great town well need I say more its tombstone the place to feel what history was like.
Seen movie but to see history not involved in update kept it real GROOVY man dig that place
