Tops Liquors, Tempe AZ

This is whenever I go pick up some drinks, the staff is friendly, super funny, and knows their stuff!

There are usually some sales which are great opportunities try new things.

ASU apparently earns it's rep in one little potable mom n pop.

The selection is wide and deep; aisles are so literally overflowing with product that the visual noise was a challenge.

One caveat; everything has a pricetag on it but it may be faded, etc. Don't even try to go by the shelf tag.

Awesome selection and friendly staff. Treats their regular customers very well and I'm always happy to vote for them with my dollars. Matt and his staff are all amazing and I'm hoping to return to the bar portion when it reopens. A modern day Cheers, where everybody knows your name.

The East valley's super selection for specialty beers and liquors. From Japanese whiskey to Russian vodka. I always find something interesting to drink there. Cheers!

Best selections of beer, wine and booze in Maricopa County. Only minor issue is the refrigerators aren't very cold.

They never disappoint with the variety of choices of beer which is the only reason i go there, but besides that i think the customer service and their lack of knowledge sucks! Everytime i go in there to try a new product, i have to figure it out myself without the help help of the employees. Where do these people come from!

They have such a large selection and are so kind and local so support the local guys who more than likely have what you need

If they don't carry something, they'll try to get it for you. The most complete liquor store I've seen in a while

If you are looking for a rare beer or spirit, come here. You will walk with a handful of beauties. Greg is "the bomb! "

Great local liquor store where you can find pretty much anything. I went to get my husband some highly ranked, limited edition beers for his birthday and they had quite a selection! The guys that work there are very knowledgeable and make excellent suggestions. My husband loved the beers. I would definitely go back to find any obscure or special alcoholic beverage.

Awesome place. First found this place in the 80's when they were next to the parts store I worked at, Flint Distributing, on Mill & University. Great bunch of guys.

If they don't have it, ASK - they will get it. The place to go for your favorite flow. I always get my hops, over at Tops.

Awesome staff with great prices and a huge selection. While you're there, head next door to taste of tops for a pint or two. It's silly to patronize any other booze library in the area.

Technically. I'd give Tops a 4.5 stars, but I don't have that option. HUGE SELECTION of liquors (beer/wine/hard liquor), but they are trying to see how much they can cram into the building. The walkways are tight due to additional stock being out on the floor along with items that they have no shelf space for. They need more space. *wheelchairs will not fit in walkways*

In my opinion, it’s the best liquor store in the entire southwest. There’s tons of selection and the seasonal beers are great. There’s a great selection of European beers, which is fantastic.

Nice people but it is so terribly crowded. There is inventory all over the store and staff seem to be always carefully balancing bottles everywhere. It's really hard to know what they have comfortably.

You can't call yourself a true college town unless you have a place like this to depend on. When your customers come from many places, selection is key.

It's always an adventure when going to tops! If you have no idea what to get or even what you want to drink just talk to one of the very many friendly staff. They will help you look for the perfect spirit /beer/wine of choice and they are so knowledgeable. The place is a little tight to walk around in but only because they have such a large collection of alcohol to choose from!

An ASU institution. Also a very trusty place to get a wide variety of craft beer and handles. Helpful and humorous staff. They've seen it all.
