Trailhead - Soldier Pass Trail No. 66 reviews
25Another amazing trail in Sedona! We walked to the 7 Devine pools I believe it was called. This was the trail that took us there and it's worth the walk
Beautiful hikecwith so many cool sites along the way. We passed Devils Kitchen, 7 sacred pools then went off trail up to the cave.
Easygoing hike with great views all along. You can choose to stop and turn back at any point of the trail, whether that be Devil’s Kitchen, the Seven Sacred Pools, or beyond, making this ideal for even beginner trail goers.
Beyond what I imagined. Recommend the arch cave for sure. Take the plateau trail to the left after passing the sacred pools! Its wonderful!
Not too difficult of a hike, but much to see and enjoy. Make sure to bring a camera for photography!
Great hike! Not super easy but not overly hard either. My 7,5 and 3 year olds were champs - had a few spills but they did all 4.1 miles on their own. The 7 Sacred Pools was a really cool stop along the way, early on in the hike, then from there, you spend time under cover of trees a lot with times when you pop out into the sun. Lots of switchbacks, small drop offs and just a whole lot of gorgeous. There are some spots where the rock at your feet is rather smooth so be wary of those spots as you can slip. The view from the top is stunning!
Wonderful short loops with minimal elevation through varied fauna backed by incredible red rock towers. One major downside is limited parking near the trail head.
The trail and the scenery are wonderful but the signs to find especially the way back wasn't existened. It took us more then 2 miles more to find back.
Beautiful scenery along the trail. Lots of unusual plants and trees including Manzanita and wild Holly. Beautiful flowering yuccas. Worth the trip
Nice trail, was a little warm as we started late in the afternoon, will hike it again when temps cool down.
A very nice easy hike especially to the top of Sugarloaf Mountain you will have 360 degree views round trip hike less than 2 hours
Beautiful hike.lots of great vista's.seven pools a great stop
also a must is the sink hole.get to parking lot 7.30.there are only 14 cars allowed in lot.the other parking will be a distance from trail head.
I love this trail! Has many trails to take so you can decide how far you want to go and it isn't too difficult so most can do it. Just make sure you have plenty of water
Wonderful vistas and plenty of diversity all amidst being surrounded by beautiful red mountains. In the beginning of the trail there is a vast sinkhole then further on amazing vistas once you reach the top of the trail.
Beautiful views of the surrounding natural wonders. It is a joy to see Gods handiwork up close and personal.
Great place to hike, trail is wonderful. But be prepared to park a mile+ away and have to walk in. We got there at ~730am & the tiny lot had 12cars and was completely full! All the roads right around the trailhead are no parking zones (god forbid the rich people who own homes right next to the trail might have to look at the people's cars parked while they hike public land) You also MUST HAVE a "Red Rocks Pass" to park there, we got one for a few bucks at a local gas station. If you're going to hike here just plan accordingly for the parking nightmare.
Great hike, very scenic and not too difficult. That sun though, bring ample water. There is some trees for shade which is nice. We were there on a Wednesday in early May, there were only 4 cars in the lot around 1PM. But the lot is not suitable for RVs/Vehicles over 20ft. We parked our 25ft RV about a mile up the road by the Sedona Dog Park and walked to the trailhead. Not too bad. With the walk to the RV and the trail, plus stops for photos, took us about 3 hours.
Great place for a walk. Good 360 Vistas, interesting terrain and wildlife - look at photo closely.
We never made it to the trail due to lack of parking. The neighborhood has a no street parking policy so if the 14 spaces in the lot are full, you aren't parking within a mile. Shame to see the city of Sedona make it's public trails inaccessible due to an a-hole neighborhood like this.
