Some folks are going to really the tamales here and some folks aren't going to be impressed by them.it all depends on what you expect from a tamale.as their tamales do not have as much meat/vegetable filling as other places I've tried. I felt the corn masa they use is very good, much better than most other tamales I've had, and far superior to the masa of frozen grocery store bought tamales. If you can't handle a lot of spice or tomato paste due to dietary issues there are good options for you. I was rather impressed with the flavor and texture of their sides of cabbage slaw and their beans, I seldom get excited by sides at Mexican restaurants, but these were some of the best sides I've had at a Mexican place in quite awhile. Overall I enjoyed my meal but would have appreciated a fair bit more filling inside my tamales for the price.

We were in Tucson for the day and walked in to the Tucson Tamale Company on Oracle on a whim. From the start, we had a great experience with an attentive and fun staff. We went from checking out the store to what felt like an exclusive taste test of local hot sauces. With a personal request to try local flavory hot sauces, the staff provided a gambit of the best tasting hot sauces in town! We went home with the Big Red's hot sauce, the smokey Habanero sauce, some wonderful tortillas, and some great memories! Thanks guys!

We were very impressed with how delicious and affordable it is. We'll definitely be back the next time we visit Tucson.

FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! This location is AMAZING! Ariel is so sweet and always takes care of me when I come in. Delicious Tamales as well but I come back time after time because of how I am treated and taken care of when I come in. Jay took my order today and he was super nice and friendly as well! Overall very nice job keep it up!

I was expecting something else. The food wasn't bad, it was just bland. Now, I could have changed that with the 30+ hot sauces, but I prefer to have my spicy cooked in. They do have good salsa and if you're good with using a whole lot of hot sauce, or aren't someone into really spicy things like I am, you would probably enjoy it. When they say meaty, they mean it.

Top quality tamales over the years. This Christmas we had the red chile beef and green chile cheese tamales. Both were delicious. Easy to steam from frozen on the stove.

We always make a point to visit Tucson Tamale when we are in town.

Service is quick. The food is good. As a vegetarian, I appreciate the selection of tasty options!

The ability to take either fresh or frozen tamales to cook at home has made for more than a few festive holiday meals.

If you haven't tried Tucson Tamale, it is worth your time to give it a taste.

They also recently added a phenomenal selection of hot sauces to the store. There have to be at least 100 different sauces of many different varieties!

I got the black bean and cheese tamale with the hot salsa and some black beans a la carte, and the workers were nice enough to give me a chicken tamale for free! I really enjoyed all of them.

Very delicious. Additionally, they have hundreds of hot sauces and other Mexican food products you can buy.

The staff was super nice. They are very knowledgeable about all the products. The tamales are delicious of course, and there are a bunch of other goodies for sale there as well.

We entered because of the banner of having the biggest range of hot sauces. Had the chance to sample a few sauces with chips and it was quite an experience. I enjoyed the range of sauces to sample and their warm chips really made it better. Would come back again to actually try their tamales too.

GOOD EATING! We came here and got the family platter and OMG! The tamales were Delicious. Our favorite tamale was the black bean and cheese! The sides were well seasoned and flavorful too! But to make our experience even better was the incredible service we got from Amber, Jaycen and Ariel. Y’all were GREAT! Our girls enjoyed the candy miss Ariel let them pick out. We’ll take the drive from Phoenix to visit again!

Amazing tamales-Green Chile and Cheese-basmati rice-slaw.
The sides were different because I'm indigenous but the tamales surely hit the spot.
The service was the BEST IVE HAD! Very attentive, kind and courteous. My new routine while in tucson every other week!

What can I say? Most delicious tamales I've ever had, and probably the most impressive display of great hot sauces I've ever seen. Picked up some Ghost of Saffron and I am a happy guy. Thank you to the wonderful people that operate this place.

Didnt try the food, but the hot sauce selection is serious business. If you’re a hot sauce person you have to visit. They walked me through the whole selection.

Excellent selection, fluffy not greasy tamales, gluten free, and eclectic shop. They also sell frozen tamales, gift baskets, and gift cards if you can't decide.

I pre-ordered tamales for 25 people with vegan/ vegetarian/ no pork or beef restrictions in the mix and based upon the numbers they selected 4 different tamales.

It was for a Sunday evening function and Frank rolled in on-time with fresh hot tamales, plates, utensils, and serving tongs.

Everything was really easy to arrange and the reception was A+

Friendly staff with quick and easy service. I’m more of a burrito person instead of tamales and their burritos are solid. Prices are quite reasonable. Good variety of options and a lot of snacks/condiments available for sale
