Under Canvas Grand Canyon, Grand Canyon Junction AZ

Staying at Under Canvas Grand Canyon was an unforgettable experience. The opportunity to see a sky full of stars in the darkness was truly breathtaking. However, I would recommend avoiding colder nights as the accommodations only have wood-burning stoves, requiring constant log refills to keep warm.

Nonetheless, the unique and rustic camping experience provided by Under Canvas is definitely worth it for those seeking a memorable adventure near the Grand Canyon.

This was such a fun and unique experience. My husband and I ate at the restaurant at Under the Canvas. The food was good but quite overpriced for what you get. We enjoyed the hot chocolate, smores, fire pits and live music. The tent was so cute. They even had a happy anniversary banner hung in our room! The only negative is my husband got a cold shower. I had no issues at all and I didn't have to hold the chain for water. It just stayed on for me. My husband, however, had a completely different experience. He had to hold the chain constantly to shower and his water was cold. Maybe I broke it - who knows? The fire in our room also didn't last all night so it was quite cold when we woke up the next morning. Overall, if you are looking for a fun and unique experience, this is it!

The staff is very friendly, the tents are of great quality, the beds too, the lobby is super pretty, the food is very good, lots of activities, yoga classes, roasted marshmallows in the evening, bands playing music.
Be careful, bring something to keep you warm at night, it's quite cold despite the fire that you can light in the tent's stove! 40 minutes from the Grand Canyon and gas station right next door. Really a great moment.

I stayed here for my honeymoon. A dream night. I had never slept in a tent in the middle of nature. Wonderful experience, very kind staff, super clean common bathrooms and delicious food!

This was our first time at an Under Canvas location and we were really delighted with our stay! The staff were very friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome right away. Special shout out to Walter and Walt working at Embers, they clearly worked late nights and early mornings and were always smiling! We had a stargazer tent and it was cozy, clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We loved having breakfast and dinner at the on-site restaurant and we really loved the community feel as we talked with different guests, listened to live music, and played cards and other board games. The s’mores and fires outside under the stars were also a highlight. We can’t wait to experience the other sites! Thank you for a unique and memorable experience!

We recently stayed here for our anniversary and it was stunning. You can’t miss sunset around here! The tents were very comfortable and well appointed, and even as the temperature dropped to 40 F overnight, the bedding kept us nice and warm without having to keep the fire going all night. The food was absolutely delicious, and the free coffee/hot chocolate bar was always fully stocked! We really enjoyed the live music both nights at dinner and helped ourselves to the s’mores station by the many fire pits outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and accommodated all of our extra requests with ease. We can’t wait to check out the other locations soon!

Superb and unique experience! Our second time at an Under Canvas location, and hoping to try them all out. Highly recommended.

After staying at real quality glamping places like "Zion on the Nine" and "Shash Dine EcoRetreat", Under Canvas was severely disappointing.

The food is AWFUL, the burger was a dry thin patty that even McDonald's wouldn't serve, the fries were cold and stale, for $19 no less. Glad we didn't get something even more expensive. Flagstaff might be an hour away, but trust me, you're much better off going there for dinner. There's no way to cook your own food either, other than the provided s'mores over a fire pit.

There's no wifi, but you're supposed to call for any services. My partner and I are on different networks, and neither of us had more than 1-2 bars, so how could we actually make those calls? If I were camping, obviously I wouldn't expect wifi (I go backpacking often), but for $300 a night? Cmon, I expect basic amenities that every developed campground has.

Our tent was right next to a family with a screaming child. The live music they had in the restaurant tent was so bad that we ate outside in the cold to avoid it.

The bed was terrible. It was a saggy spring mattress on a poorly built frame that swayed and creaked with the slightest movement. When there are quality memory foam mattresses you can get on Amazon for $200-300, a cheap saggy spring mattress in $300 a night accommodations is unacceptable.

The service was good, no knocks to the staff.

I can’t recommend Under Canvas GC more! The staff are amazing, great food and tents. Our family (kids 12 and 13) did the night painting activity and had a blast. Sitting by the fire at night, roasting marshmallows and having a glass of wine was perfect. The kids made some friends and ran around playing games. Such a great way to uncharge and reconnect.

We stayed at Under Canvas for 1 night. This was by far the best part of our trip. The staff was so kind and helpful. The tent was clean and just the coolest experience. We will definitely be back and would love to try their other locations as well. This is a must stay if you're near the Grand Canyon.

We've stayed at a total of 5 Under Canvas locations and we still can't get enough of them. UC Grand Canyon was no different. It was about 30 minutes to the Southern entrance to the National Park. We love glamping and the campfire smores in the evening are perfection. Staff is always super friendly and helpful.

Our recent trip to Under Canvas Grand Canyon was fantastic! We checked in with our family of 16 and it was smooth sailing for our 2-night stay. They had all of the details covered, and we just had to enjoy ourselves. We had an age range of 4 years old to 65 years old, and there were activities and accommodations for everyone. The staff is fantastic, learned our names, and went out of their way to be helpful. If you're interested in clamping, this is the place to go!

What a fun and unique experience! I LOVED this place. I want to say so many things about it but you'll just have to try it! It's camping without the stress of packing all the gear, setting up, tearing down, and figuring out how to cook things. Just pack a bag and the rest is done for you. We stayed in late Sept/early Oct which was perfect wether - up to 70 during the day and 50s at night. So we didnt need AC and were thankful for the cozy wood burning stove. The food was really good, considering you're camping. And the staff was super friendly and helpful. Having games available, live music, yoga, and smores over the fire made it such a fun time.

It was an experience to heat the tent with some wood fire, I didn't mind that our fire went out in the middle of the night I accepted the challenge and started all over again

Absolutely remarkable experience! The UC team at Grand Canyon went above and beyond to make our weekend so special. I proposed to my partner and the UC team decorated our tent and provided such a warm and welcoming experience to celebrate the occasion. Truly can't thank them enough!
