Victory Lutheran Church, Mesa AZ

This church has many very engaging and friendly people. It offers much in the way of activities and most are open to members. It seems like the church is working on expanding activities and programs to enhance the Christian experience. Pastor Lien delivers very solid teachings, and Pastor Floyd offers support for the grieving in Grief Share.
However, I was spoken down to in an abrupt and what I perceived as a rude and haughty manner by the senior pastor. I had pointed out to him that I preferred to be called by my given name and not an alternative form thereof. He continues to use the alternative form with a sprinkling of proper usage in between. It seems as if it is a game to him. One may think tact and humility would be operative? Is that modeling Jesus' behavior? The Jesus i know doesnt have an overinflated ego. That was not the least bit appealing, especially from church leadership.
This church would be a good place to worship without arrogance and questionable Scriptural knowledge operative from, of all people, the "senior pastor". Pastor Steve retired, as did Pastor Floyd.doesn't leave much reason to go there.

They were very kind and gave me quite a bit of food. I am very grateful, thank you so much.

I love being in services here. They make you feel so welcome. The songs are true songs of faith and worship.

As always I felt like I was home at Victory. It has been a long time since my family were regular members. I love the Tanna bre Service. It is so powerful.

I played a concert here. I do like playing in churches because the audience is sitting near. This church has verry good acoustic.
