Villa Mexican Food reviews
36Food was horrible and tortillas are definitely not made there. The place looked like a dingy dirty hole in the wall. How this place stays open make you think what else is sold there.
This was my first time eating here! I loved this place, it was very good food choices, and good service! I ordered enchiladas with a side of rice, and beans. The servers were also very friendly with the food too! If any of you guys want to try a new place to eat, I think you will like it here! Definitely worth a spot!
We're so glad this small, family run restaurant survived this last year. Their food is fantastic and an amazing value! A gem on the northwest side of town!
My Parents have been buying tortillas here forever. Super good food. Damn good salsa. I got a rice, cheese and bean burrito. It was a good price and a good size. I will definitely eat here again.
We always have great service and the food is perfect, always tasty and delicious. Chips and salsa always fresh.
My favorite is the carne seca plate. I always say I am going to try something different, but it is so good that I stay with my favorite. I don't get the rice to get more of their delicious beans.
Worst experience my food was cold salty and doesn't look like they wash there hands.the customer service is horrible my waiter was being smart as and rude
I had a vegetable burrito. Overall, I would rate everything as above average, although not the best. That includes the chips/salsa, beans, tortilla, atmosphere, service, etc. That falls in line with the price of the meal at $8.99. Ultimately, it’s a Mexican restaurant in the ‘burbs, so it won’t be like what you get in South Tucson, but it’s certainly a good option for what it is in the ‘burbs
We used to eat there every Friday night but haven't eaten there in the last year. Food very good but there prices jumped way up.
Villa is a great little hideaway with good Mexican food and a quiet interior. The seem to have kept their full menu since reopening after covid. Friendly prompt service!
I love it here. It reminds me of home. The food is amazing and the beans brings back memories from when I was a child. Thank you Villa
Had this delivered by Postmates. Order was wrong. Didn't receive beans and rice with one order. Refunded. Then we actually started eating. Worst enchiladas I've ever had. Sauce just tastes like chili powder. Rice is so blame it tastes like nothing. My chicken taco taste like breakfest sausage not even sure how. Just disappointing.
Love this place! The food is absolutely incredible! Their tacos are phenomenal and their beans are some of the best I've had! Can get very busy during the lunch rush, but it's a small family owned place, just be patient and you're sure to get a wonderful meal!
Consistently good food and atmosphere, and great service as well. Have been coming here since I was a small child and I'll continue going for as long as I live here!
Food tends to be salty, so much that you can't eat it. Mostly the rice and beans. Tacos, enchiladas are good.
This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Tucson. I've been coming here for over 20 years and they have the best shredded beef tacos in town. Their chile reyellno.and soups are excellent too. Nice people and reasonably priced menu.
Our favorite Mexican restaurant! Love the beans and rice, and it's hard to get both right at most restaurants. Tortillas are always yummy! They are very affordable, and they cater! Agree with below reviewer, ignore the negative reviews. If you like authentic sonoran mexican, this is the place!
I love going to family owed restaurants. I tried this one. We wanted forever for a taco plate and a burrito. My tacos came little meat tacos were mini. My husband burrito was filled with more potato then meat. The rice and beans were good. Not enough for me to come back. I will continue to go to Ross's which is also family owned. The wait is never long and the tacos are filled with meat.
Ignore the negative reviews! I have a feeling most of them are entitled jerks who have never been to a family own restaurant. This is a long time small family classic of Tucson. I have brought friend's from Australia and family from all over to this place. If you want to have a meal and enjoy the company and atmosphere of a Tucson family this is the place. Dont expect to be waited on hand and foot and dont go in thinking you deserve service. These people work hard and make the kind of food your Hispanic mama would make at a party. So go in and enjoy! They are kind. The place is clean and smells of fresh tortilla chips! Its lovely, home grown, Tucson family food.
