Vine Tavern & Eatery reviews
13Vine in tukee doesn't live up to the Tempe location. Got cold food with a bad attitude. Was excited cause so close to my house. 2nd time been here and the last. Food is bland but beer and drinks were ok. Too bad service was not up to par. Save your money and make the drive to the vine in Tempe. So much BETTER ITS WORTH THE DRIVE.
Above average food, for a tavern.
But portions are ridiculously small for the prices. Definitely not worth it.
What sincerely bothers me is the amount of nickel & diming on an already overpriced menu. A couple of dollars here and there to make pretty simple requests like splitting sauces on wings, or making an order to-go.
It's like the Spirit airlines of pub food.
Beer is pretty overpriced too. Compared to all the other burger and wing places in Ahwatukee, I've never felt quite as ripped off as I have here.
Probably not coming back, even though it's 2 minutes from my house.
It's our own personal Cheers! Chrissy and the team are great and make it more than just the corner sports bar. Having grown up going to the Vine when it was on Apache, it's like going home.
We decided to try the Vine Tavern and Eatery. I’m so glad we did! Our food was delicious. The patty melt was tasty and the fajita and chicken Caesar wraps were equally as good. Our server, Jared, was personable. We will be going back in the near future!
Great place, airy and comfortable. Service was excellent and the meal was amazing - large portions was a bonus. Definitely going back.
Dangit! I used to love The Vine. I grew up at The Vine. And I really want to love this one closest to my neighborhood but man, what happened to the wings? ! They're tiny! And super expensive. $16 for a dozen wings? Plus $1.39 for split wing flavors? Even the happy hour wings are almost a dollar each. And who cuts the celery into 1-inch bite size pieces? It was just so weird. $11 for tater tots? I was blown away. Happy hour drinks and daily specials aren't bad and we enjoyed talking to the people at the bar but man, I have to say I'm bummed about the food and prices.
The best happy hour! Incredible patio and space as well. The wings and margs are fantastic.
The McClintock location closed. So moved on to the Elliot location. We see staff from the old location and they are always cool as heck.
So disappointed. The menu is too expensive for the location and the outdoor tables were disgustingly dirty. I had to ask the waitress to wipe it off because even my kids were grossed out. The meals were about $5 more than market price for Ahwatukee and my chicken sandwich was a half a chicken breast, cut vertically to hide the fact that I was getting half. It came on an appetizer plate with some fries for $17. Kids meals are also overpriced. Even the happy hour wine was clearly opened days ago, tasted bad, and overpriced. Finally, there was a questionable patron walking in and out of the restaurant and parking lot and lingering behind our table and several others (at 5: 15 pm on a Monday). I wouldn’t have mentioned this but even my 10 year old son noticed, brought it up me, and was worried that the person was unstable. I rarely leave a review but I don’t want others dealing with this.
Best staff ever! We had a birthday party here and they killed it! We had so much help from the staff. They were extremely kind and helped with everything we needed. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quick bite with great atmosphere or someone who is looking to host an exquisite party/get together! Finally some place in tukee that is full of great vibes and friendly smiles! Definitely coming back for more!
My wife and I visited on 3/26 around 2pm. Nice, spacious, clean looking bar which was decidedly quiet for a lunchtime. Nobody really seemed interested in helping us and we had to go to the bar to ask if we should sit somewhere. When the waitress arrived, I asked her what she recommended. She told me, “We are known for our wings”. When they came out, they were the smallest wings I have ever seen in my life. Highly disappointing. We had to visit another restaurant afterward for more food. After paying $70 at Vine we were still hungry
RIP the real vine on Apache. Thank you for selling out to more overpriced “luxury apartments” the memory will live on but this location won’t.
