I don’t usually do reviews but in this case for the amount we spent $950 for 3 people I felt the food was very underwhelming. Most of it had a ton of salt and ingredients that threw it off. I had their octopus and it was just strange- didn’t taste fresh or good. The Duck ok flavor but not great. If you want a ok meal for $200-$300 a person this may work but I have been to many other restaurants that were far more impressive for the money or even less. Either bring down the price point or improve the quality so that it’s on par with the pricing.

We absolutely loved our experience here! We sat outside in December and the heating lamps and blankets made it a super comfortable experience. We had the absolute BEST waiter, Gary! He hands down elevated our entire experience and we feel fortunate we had him to make the whole night even better! Each round of food was phenomenal and the portions are amazing for the price. We had two amazing bottles of wine along the way and after dinner drinks too. Highly recommend anyone come here for a fun night and if you can request Gary. We’re big fans!

This place was wonderful. We did not do the wine pairing but the food was great. We had a great time.

Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, and amazing food. They do change their menu weekly but they do have the tomahawk ribeye often and it's just incredible!

Virtu remains my favorite restaurant in Scottsdale and the Phoenix area. So, i am sure you wonder why only a 4 stars review. Well, for one big change. They no longer offer an a-la-carte option, but only a prix-fix menu.
Why does it matter? Well not everyone CAN even eat 3 courses.
The portions are still very generous, and quality of the cuisine is still outstanding, not to mention their cocktails that are still fantastic (special kuddo to the mixologist an under sung talent).

Please please please let us pick just one course if we want to.

Absolutely lovely and delicious birthday dinner. Ingredients are fresh and combined flavors are delightful. We'll definitely be back.

The food was excellent and beautifully executed.we were seated outside, the garden seating was delightful. The first course was grilled octopus, tender and the Calabrian sauce complemented it. We added homemade pasta with razor edge clam ceviche, perfection. On to the next course smoked duck which was cooked perfectly and the cherry reduction a delicious accompaniment on a bed of leeks. My friend ordered the swordfish served with a breadcrumb topping similar to oreganata wonderful and different. Why 4 stars.what was wrong.the pompous waiter, Ivan/Evan. This speaks volumes as I am a life long New Yorker who is well traveled, this is the first time I have experienced this type behavior. Will I return remains to be seen.when I recommend the restaurant I will add.ask to be seated in station not served by Evan/Ivan.

Super delicious and great atmosphere! This is easily one of our new favorite places to eat. I recommend the octopus appetizer and the pork chop and plum dish for dinner. Our drinks were great, got an old fashioned and a mezcal drink. This place also serves amaro which is an italian liqueur, great with the sticky toffee pudding dessert. Very small and quaint restaurant, perfect for date night or a special occasion.

Great prix fixe dinner that was an excellent choice for an anniversary meal. Cocktails were awesome and service was impeccable. We left absolutely satisfied and very full, even without the optional pasta course.

Virtù Honest Craft is a pure joy. As we sat within the ambiance of the olive tree, Chef Osso created magic in our mouths with every dish, not just the signature octopus. 8 for 8 tonight A+, 2 tasty cocktails, 4 delightful dishes, and 2 out of this world desserts. Always exceptional. Highest recommendation!

I wish if I can give them 10 stars, besides the wonderful service and the beautiful classical atmosphere, the food is literally the best thing I ever tried in my entire life 10 out of 10. Definitely coming here again and again and again!

From start to finish this was by far one of the absolute best meals I've ever had. This coming from a guy who has spent over 30 years eating at resturants all over the globe but primarily NYC and Northern NJ.
Upon our arrival we were warmly greeted by a very friendly hostess who without hesitation sat us inside with a front row view of the open kitchen. The aromatic essence of the fresh ingredients filled the air throughout the restaurant along with a warm inviting vibe to come sit down not just for a meal but a true culinary experience. Our server Gary came to greet us shortly thereafter and thoroughly went over the menu with us from cocktails and appetizers to our main courses. Being that we were a party of 4 he had made the suggestion of us each picking a few different entrées in order to sample a wide variety of what was to be offered. We would also wind up pairing our meal with a delicious bottle of cabernet to compliment the delights that awaited us. Now I must admit I've had my fair share of Tomahawk steaks but the one that is served here was by far one of the best I've ever had bar none. A true 40 oz.steak. Cooked to perfection, elegantly plated atop a delicious bed of salad greens with a fantastic tasting mustard vingarette. Along with this masterpiece our other entrees included a freshly caught (less than 24 hrs i would say) and perfectly cooked Ahi Tuna steak and a beautifully prepared and presented thick cut pork chop that literally melted in our mouths. Gary continued to check in on us periodically along with the other staff members but never became overbearing or intrusive. They all paid very close attention to us and were readily available for anything that we might have needed. To cap it all off Gary once again reccomended that we each pick a different dessert in order to give each a taste and boy was it a home run by far! Especially the sticky toffee cake with Gelato. The butterscotch pudding was to die for and there was 1 other fruitful dessert mousse from the orient to highlight not just the course but the true culinary skill of the chef. Can't recall the name of it but it too was out this world! I'm not sure what awards or accolades Virtu has achieved so far, but I can honestly say they deserve more and of the utmost prestige. If you're in Scottsdale or the surrounding area you should definitely make it a mission to come here and have a meal that will absolutely blow your mind. If you don't you will truly regret it or cheat yourself out of a truly exquisite meal. All the best to Chef Joey and his staff. I will definitely be back again as soon as possible.

Made reservations and sat at the bar; the drinks were good. Virtu didn’t used to be a prize fixe menu (at least a while back) and we didn’t realize it had become one. I have a small appetite and wouldn’t be able to eat all that food, especially for $85. I just wanted something small and asked if I could just order one item off the menu (seeing as they’re already making it) and I was told I absolutely couldn’t. My boyfriend was definitely going to order the 3 course meal. I don’t eat sweets and a pasta dish and appetizer would be wasted. We finished our cocktails and left.

We had a wonderful evening at Virtu! The service was impeccable! Our server Gary was so knowledgeable and really made our dining experience extra special. The cocktails were delicious and we all loved the food, so many complex flavors and textures. We all left happy and stuffed! I can’t wait to come back again!

We sat in the outdoor courtyard which is a bit small but well decorated. We arrived early and had to wait for our table to open but we were served delicious drinks while we waited. Our food was great for the most part. The lamb we ordered was still rare when it arrived and the kale was very burned. Things that could have been fixed easily but the waiter was absolutely terrible at making excuses for the food instead of fixing the problem. It seems that the only negative reviews from this place are clearly an issue with the waiting staff.

Truly awesome prix fixe dinner. Italian inspiration with a bit of Southwest flair. Everything we had was amazing - and we had a lot! Excellent cocktails as well and the service was top-notch.
