I moved from North Scottsdale to downtown Phoenix eight months ago. After having my hair cut by the same person for 15 years, this is the fourth new barbershop I've been to in search of a great new barber and haircut. After doing my research and reading a lot of reviews, I landed on Ed Yakubov at V’s Barbershop Cityscape.

Clearly Ed has been honing his skills for a long time and it shows. He had a lot of repair work to do from my previous so-called barber/haircut and his attention to detail was impeccable. He was professional, talked me through adjustments he was making given the poor cut i had received previously and was a please to chat with while I was there. The key will be how it looks three weeks from now when I go back for my next cut.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with A JAY From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. The attention to detail and skill that A JAY possesses is truly remarkable. He took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and offered their professional expertise to make it even better. The result was a haircut that exceeded my expectations. Not only is A JAY a talented barber, but he creates a friendly enjoyable atmosphere. I ll be back.

Recently moved to Downtown Phoenix and found V’s Barbershop. Went in wanting to get a mullet cut and Ajay did an amazing job! Very professional and a great environment.

This place is great. I don't even have to say much. He just does it right the first time.

Stopped in for a overdue haircut while staying at a hotel downtown. Ajay (using his name with his permission) gave me a great cut that still looks and feels good a couple of weeks later. Price was reasonable too.

Visiting and Ed got me in, definitely helped with my appearance for a last minute meeting; Ed's fades is the best I have ever received.

This is the result if you go to this place. 30 $ stolen. Arrogant, rude and very impolite “hairdresser”. He was cutting my hair and watching tv at the same time. Working with no care, with the clippers start in one point, after one second in another, and again the same in other points. Not following the line of the shade. Are you kidding? I asked for a thin straight side shade and he made a thick shade that going down to the neck. I told him I didn’t want that and he said he was right and went ahead saying it was straight, but it was not. I asked for a mirror and asked if he really thought it was straight. Finally he cut the shade but very bad. The hair on the top are crooked. And he says they are not. He says the cut it was correct and he says it was what I ask for but not true. For sure I wouldn’t even take a sheep to shear in this place. Fortunately I have pictures of his “work”.

JJ gives a top notch cut. Shop is in a great location, clean, and works by appointment so I can get in and out. 5 Stars

Great place friendly great haircut. I booked an appointment online. I new the price before I came. The place is beautiful and clean. The staff is professional and he was wearing a uniform. There is a lobby and a bar incorporated right into the barber shop. The interior was done we'll, nostalgic and each station was set for comfort. This is my third visit and I intend to continue using V's barbershop for all my hair grooming needs.

I was a regular customer for eight years but in the past two it has been impossible to get reliable service. V's offers appointments, I make an appointment, and then about one out of four visits I arrive to be told that there's no one available to honor my appointment. They have my phone number but they don't call me to let me know this in advance. I find out when I arrive for my appointment that I'll have to come back another day. It's infuriating. I know staffing is hard in the post-covid era, but a simple phone call or text message the day before or even the day of would go a long way. It just happened again today for the last time because I'm never going back.

Great service with Ed - I’ve been missing out on super clean haircuts for years now. Def going back
