Hotel W Scottsdale reviews
22Trending cool spot in the heart of Old Town. It had been a few years since I stayed at the W Scottsdale. Nothing has changed, great customer service, amazing room and great atmosphere at the pool. Cody helped us out at the front desk and made our experience even better than expected. Highly recommend this place.
THE best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Every single point was beyond perfect. The location is amazing being near restaurants, bars, shopping and everything else. The staff at the hotel is wonderful. From their style teams and talent, they really thrive to make their guests happy. I dealt with Delilah who went above and beyond for me and even found me a W cap that I had been wanting. The rooms were super clean, spacious and comfortable. Their attention to detail is phenomenal on all aspects. The W Scottsdale is the only hotel I’ll ever be staying at when I go to Scottsdale/Phoenix. The place to be, day and night.
The pool and hotel are separately owned. It makes it tough to sit at the pool when everything is reserved. Wifi is terrible. Not worth the money. Wont be back. Scottsdale however is wonderful.
Pretentious and totally over hyped. The rooms here are tiny, stayed here so I could get into the pool with no hassle for a birthday and wasn't impressed. Yeah you're in old town but come on man it's not NYC, and even then I think the rooms at the W in NYC are bigger than the ones here. Also just an FYI the staff here is awful.
Been here a few times now. This time there was a long line, and the wait was about 15min just to get the car to valet. It's okay though, as it's always worth it. Great staff, location and atmosphere. Will definitely come again soon.
Very nice facility for hosting a meeting. The food, snacks and meeting room are good: ; staff super friendly.
Great location, wonderful staff, very accommodating. Extra special thanks to Shannon Nuss for being extremely helpful. A member of our party fell into medical distress and we had to unexpectedly stay back an extra week and Shannon and the entire staff took alot of pressure off our minds during a very stressful situation. My entire party is definitely planning a trip back. Overall, great experience.
Love this Hotel but service is horrible. Staff made so many mistakes.we had multiple reservations and they managed to screw up every single one.blamed the guest instead of resolving the issue. Unprofessional!
Just be prepared for the noise. They do warn you, but I didn’t expect to be able to hear the pool party completely through the building. We were on the opposite side of the building and one floor up, on the 3rd floor. Then on top of that, there was a party just one room down from our room. People consider this a party hotel, so there is no consideration or even common sense from other guests. I was finally able to go to sleep sometime after 2: 30 am. I won't be staying here again.
This place has awesome pool parties, but they can get super loud so if you get a room then be prepared to hear some noise. The staff is helpful, but getting a room only gets you so many people into the pool for free, so keep that in mind. Also the price for a room is more expensive than other W's in the country, but it's in Old Town Scottsdale and close to everything.
Typical W-will appeal to a Millennial much more than a more "mature" traveler, what with all the weird, jarring colors and odd room layouts. But it was very clean and rooms were quiet. Staff was friendly, pool was nice and it had a beautiful clientele (yours truly excluded).
Bartender took forever it was evident she only wanted to serve her hostesses and her servers so I tipped her accordingly
This rating applies strictly to the poolside chicken tenders (PCTs). I took the average of 2 ratings - myself and a trusted third party (BFT) - and we gave them 8.0.
Went to the sushi restaurant and they were very slow with the food and service considering there wasnt very many customers.
Upscale. Mid 30s to 40s dance club. There is a bar on the bottom floor and another bar with a dance floor on the second level. Dress code is a must. We caught an uber so not sure where the parking is but they offer valet. We went on a Saturday and it was not busy but enough to mingle and have fun. Ladies be ready for men to howl of you enter only with females.
Fantastic location near fashion square in Scottsdale. Valet parking is very expensive though. Sushi restaurant is pretty good. Pool can get crowded on the weekends, but during the week there were no issues finding space. Instead of ordering room service do yourself a favor and try out one of the local taco places that are just a short walk away.
Great hotel in a nice location. Friendly and helpful staff. Good pool area, which does get very crowded at weekends.
The rooms were small, & the food is disgusting, make sure to eat out or order from another restaurant, but the staff were friendly and the place is really modern. People gather by the pool mornings and nights. The location is in the middle of everything. Nightlife in the area is busy with people, there’s bars, restaurants and shops around the hotel. It was a great experience.
Amazing staff, clean rooms, very active bar scene and right next to fashion square so the nightlife is easy to get to. I would recommend anyone to stay here.
Horrible stay. I wouldn't stay here again if they paid me. We checked in at 3pm. There was music blasting and pounding so loud that our room vibrated. We were told it would be turned off at 6pm when the pool dj left.ok, no problem.just the daytime. Got back to the room at 10pm and the music was even louder-we could feel it through the floor. The front desk said it would be turned off at midnight. I put in headphones and turned on a podcast with the tv on in the background to drown out the background noise. I could still hear and feel the bass! At midnight the music was still loud and when I called I was offered ear plugs! I said no, that I needed a different room. I was told they'd see what they could do and call me back in 1/2 hour. I got a call back and was told to pack up because they'd found a room on the "quiet side" for us. I said you have a "quiet side"? You didn't tell us when we checked in we were on the noisy side? Can we just move and clear out our old room in the morning? No, I was told, we had to pack up at midnight in order to get a new room. We did. The man who came and took us to the "quiet side" told us he gets 2-3 calls EVERY night from our side to move people. He said we should've received an email telling us that we were going to be on the noisy side. We did not. We are even preferred members! So this is standard practice to put people on the side adjacent to the dance club and see if they complain. Not to mention that the bathrooms are open to where the bed is and one can hear every single noise made in the bathroom! Worst hotel experience of my life!
