My experience with Wealthability started off with several red flags & ended with being scammed out of $6,000.

Before booking a call, I read all of the bad reviews and thought maybe they were fake but after my own experience, I believe that the only fake reviews are the positive ones.

My initial call was the first red flag. A sales agent who is not a tax specialist in any way, started off by asking me to read him the dollar amount stated from a line on my previous tax return which was $22,000.

He then very confidently claimed that I should not have paid that additional money in taxes and that Wealthability would save me at least that amount along with many other claims.

It was a no brainer to pay the $6,000 fee to save at least $22,000 in taxes. The reality is that he was not a tax specialist & shouldn’t have made tax claims. After paying, I received no welcome email, no receipt, no confirmation or notification of any sort.

I called 4 days in a row to ask what was going on & why I haven’t received anything. I kept getting transferred to random clueless employees, none of whom had any idea what was going on & didn’t even see my payment.

4 days later I finally got someone to send me a welcome email. It was a digital course which is put together like a 3rd grade presentation from 1990. (It’s just a very low quality video series of the info in Tom’s $22 book).

There’s also a link to book a call with the tax professional who is not even directly part of Wealthability. They outsource tax professionals who you’d be able to Google yourself for at least half the price without wealthability capitalizing on it.

The tax specialist turned out to be an incredibly awesome woman. However.after she learned about my financial situation, I didn’t apply for the tax services to have the big savings I was told on my original sales call.

I immediately felt scammed by the Wealthability team for telling me what they knew I’d need to hear to get my money.

I decided to ask for a refund since I would not be using the tax professionals time or services. I certainly was not in a position to lose 6k as I’m a commission only sales rep who works 7 days a week to pay my bills.

I sent Tom a very nice email explaining the situation & my disappointment in his misleading sales rep. I was certain Tom would refund me as that was the proper thing to do. After all, Tom claims to be so passionate about helping people NOT PAY money that they shouldn’t.

Tom didn’t reply so 10 days later I sent another email stating that I would report this to the BBB and take further action as my money was being kept from me for a service I was mislead about, couldn’t benefit from and wasn’t using.

Tom once again didn’t reply but had a guy named Brad call me immediately to try to convince me to stay by making more fantasy sounding claims just like the original sales rep. Once again, not an actual tax specialist telling me this. The convo ended with him telling me to give him 1-2 days to figure out a plan.

Brad disappeared for 4 days & on day 5 I contacted him saying I wanted my refund. He said “We can’t refund you because it’s after 30 days”. Which is the same logic as denying a person drowning a safety rope because they didn’t drown in the past 30 days.

To conclude my experience, Tom Wheelright has lost all of my respect as well as an abundance of clients I was going to refer to them had my experience gone as originally expected. What a MAJOR letdown.

$6,000 for a poorly slapped together 1990’s style video series of the information in his $22 book & a 3rd party tax specialist valued at a fraction of the cost if you just Google a tax specialist yourself.

I will be routinely checking to ensure my review isn’t deleted & will be further sharing my experience among other platforms where reviews can be added.

I have learned so much from this! The combination of live webinars, videos, and one and one meetings with a CPA have accelerated my wealth, and pushed me to make smarter, more informed choices.

This has been a great experience from start to finish. I wanted to wait until we finished the course until we left a review. I’m glad I did because the last few meetings have been SO VALUABLE to us. I have been an entrepreneur most of my life. I have always been told by my CPAs in the past that I MUST have a tax and wealth strategy. But they could never explain what that was or how I could implement a plan. This program helped us build a brilliant strategy that I never knew was possible. A huge concern of mine was asset protection. We have most our new plan and team already set up and implemented in a short time. Everyone that has been referred to us has been amazing. I would pay the money for this course just for the referrals. This program requires us to do homework, and really dig in and understand the options so that we can make our own, guided but, educated decisions. I can see how someone would not get much out of this if they didn’t actually do the work. We did and we are glad we did. This has changed our trajectory in business. We are set up so solid and have a great new team of professionals that I have total confidence in. We have our goals clear for the next 3 and 5 years. I have never felt this confident in this part of my business. I have recommended this program to all my business owner friends and will continue to.

After many interviews trying to find a CPA that understood the Real-Estate Business, we signed on with Wealth Ability the first of 2023. Now at the end of 2023 and some $30,000 dollars later, nothing has been delivered. The CPA we were given just answered our questions, from the five year old workshops that we completed, and provided little advice. We were charged and paid in full to refile 2020,2021, and file 2022. We were also told they would deliver a tax strategy for our three LLC's and our S-Corp. We were just informed that our main contact at the CPA office left the company and he was the assistant to the head CPA, which we have not heard from. I kept being patience thinking it would get better.it is only getting worse.

I have a feeling that I will now be using my preciouses time to inspect what I expected and hopefully get my monies worth.

Beware, the salesperson misrepresents what is included in the cost: training, file this year taxes and 2 years back taxes if needed. Then after we signed on were we told by the CPA the cost is only for your 1040 schedule, additional cost for all other schedules, LLC and S corp. We have thrown good money after bad, not feeling good how this going to turn out.

This is a scam. I wasted a substantial amount of money on this, with little to show. You would be much better off listening to Tom’s podcast and reading his books rather than wasting your money on this nonsense.

I started reading Tom Wheelwright's books which led me to Wealth Ability. The team we are putting together has helped us understand tax laws and asset protections we need, to keep and invest more of our own money. The benefits we have received are substantially more than the cost of the program and we are only six months in.
I am excited and looking forward to working with my Wealth Ability team for many years to come.

. If you get connected with a team member that does not mesh with your personality or fit your needs, request a new person, put in the effort, and build a great team. The quality of your team is also based on your efforts.

I've been in the program for almost a year. I got a ton of value from the online recorded classes. There's a lot of content, so it took a while to get through, but it really changed my perspective on taxes, business, and wealth for the better. The twice-a-month WealthAbility Live calls have been amazing, and I've learned so much from Micheal, the host. He loves to answer questions, and it's really great to get that live feedback from an expert. I've been working with a CPA from the program, and so far they've done my first tax return and I've had several good wealth strategy meetings with them. They filed an extension and then filed the actual return in July, but that seems like standard operating procedure in the industry. So far, so good!

Be very careful, they sell you off to CPAs around the country. When they fail to deliver the services for the $15,000 they charge, WealthAbility will do nothing to make things right. The one tax return they did do got audited.

Don't waste your money, just read his book. I definitely did not receive the tax strategy they sell you on when signing up. They connected with a CPA that filed my extension late and my franchise tax report late. I called to change CPA's but they just kept wanting to me to go back to the CPA that I have no trust in now.

I wasn't impressed by what I got out of Wealthability. I do like all the courses, although they can be time consuming to go through. The guy who originally signed me up sold me on bi weekly zoom meetings with Tom Wheelwright himself where we'd get a little bit of education and the rest of the hour was Q&A, but halfway through the year Tom had someone else take over for him. The only reason I wanted that upgrade was because it was with Tom and I had to pay extra for that perk. Another thing that happened was I was charged a large amount of money from Wealthability again after I had already paid in full. When I reached out to them to ask why I was charged they told me to send them my credit card statement and they'd investigate. After a week or so I reached out and hadn't heard anything back as a follow up. I reached out again and told them I was going to dispute it with my bank if I didn't hear back and I got an answer and refund right away! I liked working with my assigned Wealthability CPA at first, she did a great job on my 2021 tax year and I was happy I didn't owe anything. She did answer all my questions about real estate and helped me navigate where I wanted to go. For 2022 I seemed to have been a client of low importance because they didn't get my taxes done back in April even though I submitted all my information early on in the year. I reached out to them in July to see if they could get them done by the end of the month and her assistant's response was "we'll try to get it done by that time. " They asked me for some extra information which I responded to, but it's now Aug and I had to follow up with them to see what the progress is on it. Not only that but the days and times I want to meet with my CPA, I'm at work and will have to use my break time to meet with her. It just seems like unless you're a high profile business or a Kiyosaki, they're not quick to get your requests done. After this tax year, I won't continue my services with Wealthability or Hooks CPA.

Still learning the ropes, but looks like a wealth of information geared to helping my wife and I achieve financial freedom while helping us pay only the taxes we need to pay.

The WealthAbility program is not a gimmick or scam. It is really valuable for business owners and real investors (that's not the same as stock market day traders). WealthAbility is for the people who have at least some control of their financial future, are profitable enough to be independent (out of the "rat race"), and are ready to invest in doing what it takes to scale and move more efficiently on the real world "fast track". It's not cheap, and there is no reason it should be, but it more than paid for itself within a matter of a few days.

Wealth ability has been great. I recommend them to any ceo or entrepreneur. They help plan for your future goals and also help with reducing your taxes. I would highly recommend them.

I'm new to Wealthability, and I'm loving it so far. I can't believe how Tom can make tax law understandable and dare I say exciting.
Updating review to 4 stars, after dealing with how the team handles assigning you to your CPA is "heavy handed" and did not seem to be a great match to our circumstances.

The consultation was very helpful and gave me the information I needed to move forward. Thanks for your time!
