Nice golf course, not worth the money, have to pay for parking, greens are very slow (end October)

Will never return or recommend this place, some angry golf course employee tried to ruin a wedding proposal after permission was given to do it. He started arguing with paying guests saying we couldn’t get permission when in fact we did have permission. He tried to blame us for being there and tried to catch us in what he thought was a lie. The employee made a complete fool of himself, made the business look bad and now I hope this review gives others a warning to avoid this place. Take your special occasion elsewhere because this place will attempt to ruin it. Someone should get this employees attitude under control, clearly this guy needs more supervision. He could have accomplished the message he wanted to send with a different attitude but I guess he felt the need to try to ruin a special moment over nothing.

I recently played both the Faldo and Palmer Courses, and overall it was an enjoyable experience. The price was fair, the staff was very polite and professional, and the course was in exceptional shape. I am from the East Coast, so it was a new experience for me to play in the desert. There was an abundance of wildlife to enjoy, and the conditions were totally different than playing in the Mid-Atlantic. The only negative I have to say about the course is its members. On both days, I had issues playing as a single player behind a foursome of members that would not let me play through when the course was open in front of them. Upon completing my round, one of them saw me at the bag drop and said, "Ohh, feel free to play through now. " I wouldn't let a few rude people keep you away from Wildfire, but I hope you don't have to play behind them.

From tee to green, both courses are in excellent shape and
the practice facilities are almost perfect.
If you can only play one round remember that the Faldo course is difficult for its 108 sand bunkers (not a typo) and on the Palmer course you should expect to be hitting off the Desert floor if you miss the fairway by more than 10 yards.
Most importantly, the people who come to this place, play fast. Nobody here spends 5 minutes lining up a putt. This is ~10th time we have played at Wildfire and we have never played in over 4 hours. Last week we teed off of the Faldo course at 3: 15 and the Palmer course 2 days later at 3pm. We finished 18 at 630pm both days.
Hats off to the staff at this place as well. They remain a very friendly and helpful group!

Such a beautiful course at all times. Great layout but you will find yourself in many challenging lies in the dessert which was fun!

Great overall experience. Started at 2: 35pm on the Faldo course. Conditions were fantastic, immaculate greens and fairways. The pace of play was very slow this particular day and we wouldn’t have been able to finish 18 holes if it wasn’t for David in the pro shop who was able to get us out on the front 9 of the Palmer course (fantastic customer service). We finished a full 18 before dark and would highly recommend the course. We found the Faldo course to be significantly more challenging than the Palmer due to the number of bunkers. Practice facilities were nice and the restaurant was lively.

This was my first visit to Wildfire in 3 + years. Played the Faldo course which is very challenging based upon the number of bunkers everywhere you look. With that said it was an absolute treat. The course conditions were phenomenal. Green were absolutely pure and running fast. The practice facility is large with lots of room on the range, good bunker practice area, and large putting green. Condos, houses and hotel never feel like they are closing in on you as some of the other courses in the area. Super convenient location with fair rates in this time of escalating green fees in AZ.

I love these 2 tracks. A Palmer and a Faldo. They have an app with decent discounts for the area. If I'm here on vacation and go on a weekday (or sometimes a Sunday at noon) I can get a single tee time and whip around here playing 2 balls. It's the dream!

Great course, enjoyed the guys I was paired up with. However, there was a little “bait and switch” that went on. When I made the online tee time on the website the rate was $380.00 when I got to the pro shop the guy behind the counter after I gave him my CC says that’s $540.00. I told him that the rate should be $380.00 he says “Welcome to the Super Bowl, sorry can’t do anything about it. BS

176.00 green fees for cart path only,
teed off at 1: 40 got 16 holes in before night set in and the kicker was paying 10.00 for parking…come out every year for a week of golf, Wildfire will not be on our list…
