I was contacted several years ago to close out an outstanding balance. I was told if I maid a payment of I think it was around $100 they would close the account out. I made the payment. Since then I have been contacted by letter which I responded with that I closed this out with the last payment.no response. I just received a text today that they are sending me to collections. I have closed this out already! Your staff needs to do their job! You couldn't get me to go back to this doctor's office.besides the poor care I received years ago and the staff this place is a joke!

I went to Dr. Jacobsen for keloid scar removal and c-section scar revision! My mind is blown! He far exceeded my expectations! He removed my various keloid scars and you can NOT even tell there were ever even scars there, ever! I cant recommend Dr. Jacobsen enough! He is amazing, kind, and compassionate! He's staff is just as amazing as he is! This is the ONLY doctor I will ever use for any kind of scar treatment or surgery from here on out!

I waited a year and two months to get the surgery done. I met this doctor and within 24 hours he was planning the surgery. We ran into insurance issues but after he made them understand it was best to close the wound two days later I was in Phoenix meeting Dr. Jacobsen as he was taking me to surgery. He said not to worry he had everything under control and I would be out soon. Like he came into my life he was again gone. I could not personally thank him and I could even say a word. He simply stated any issues in which he didn't see he would simply have me return. Then he said I would see him again. He did a great job and I can see why he comes very highly recommended. Thank you, in less than two weeks time I met you via text message and surgery was over. We need a doctor like you in las cruces.

I went to see Dr. J in hopes that might be able to fix my extremely assymetrical breasts. I told him that in 2012, I'd been diagnosed with DCIS, Stage 0, Grade 3 and had a lumpectomy followed by radiation therapy. He explained there was hard, underlying scar tissue caused mostly by the radiation therapy which can deform the breast over time, which in my case, it did. He suggested that because of my history of DCIS and the markedly noticeable asymmetry of my breasts, I might be happiest with a bilateral mastectomy wfollowed by reconstructive surgery. At first I was worried because like many people, I had the idea that plastic surgeons really only care about money and my insurance was through AHCCCS (Arizona's Medicaid). However, he treated me with the utmost respect. My decision to listen to Dr. J's advice and have the mastectomy literally saved my life. During the operation, Dr. J found cancer in BOTH my breasts and a 5.6 cm tumor in my right breast. He was very kind and gentle when he delivered this news to me and again after he removed lymph nodes under both arms and found one of them to be positive for metastatic cancer. He then referred me to my oncologist who informed me I had Stage IIIA, HER2+ breast cancer, an aggressive cancer with a high risk of recurrence afpt 5 years or later. All I know is that if I hadn't gone to Dr. J or failed to trust his opinion to get a bilateral mastectomy, I probably would not be alive for too much longer.
What made my follow up visits so much more pleasant is the extremely kind and helpful demeanor of his staff - Taylor, Jordyn and Kimberly. I was impressed that when I came in after a month for my follow-up visit, Taylor and Jordyn - who both work up front - immediately knew my name the minute I walked through the door. That made me feel noticed which I appreciated. One of the greatest perks of all is how unbelievably comfortable the chairs in the waiting room are - like sitting on a cloud! No joke!
The only thing that turned me off at first is that once you leave the office, you cannot reach them by phone. Contact is made only through Dr. J's website, then further communication by email. However, Ithey are very, very good about getting back to you (sometimes within minutes) or you may hear back from Dr. J himself through e-mail. The one nice thing about using the portal, though, is that you can submit photos on his site so he might be able to see what the issue is.
I am looking forward to the end of my chemo and to the brief time following when Dr. J will begin my reconstructive surgery.

My experience was very positive, despite the 50 minute wait time, until I actually met the doctor. He didn't even spend 5 minutes with me and was so sarcastic and rude. I have a 6 month old postsurgical hematoma on my cheek that left a bump that even my primary physician could see. This doctor is apparently blind. After introducing himself I told him about it and he said "so what do you wanna do? " I was like "well I don't know I was wondering what my options were" and he told me the only thing he could do was give me a facelift even though thats not what I need. I asked him if there was anything to remove the hematoma and he bluntly replied "you dont have a hematoma" so I said "well the lump from the hematoma" to which he responded "you don't have a lump. " Well yes I do I feel it all day and night I know whats in my face and everyone else can see it? Then I asked him if I should wear a compression mask and he said "if you want" so I said well would it help? And he just shook his head no. Then I asked if cavitation would help and he said "I don't know I'm not a cavitation doctor. " This was 90% of the conversation during our 5 minute visit which I waited almost an hour for. So so rude I almost started crying in the middle of the appointment. If this is the type of sarcastic doctor you want I guess go to him.

Dr. Jacobsen and his entire office staff was a great experience for me. I was referred to his office after my MOHS procedure that left my face in worse shape than I had hoped for. It was a drive across town for me and it was well worth it. I was concerned about the state of the open wound on my face and desired the best outcome possible, I was worried. From the moment I stepped into his office I felt at ease. Several things impressed me with Dr. Jacobsen and his office staff. First and foremost was the ease of communication both directly in office and submitting documents and photos via his website and/or email. The ability to reach out to and get a response from the doctor 24/7 is so nice. Each person I spoke to was helpful and was mindful and sensitive to my needs. Dr. Jacobsen was great, he was very personable, very easy to talk to you, he answered all my questions, and was confident in his skill. I truly felt it was a blessing to be referred to and treated by Dr. Jacobsen. Lastly, Dr. Jacobsen's office is beautifully designed and decorated and includes WIFI, these little things all help with setting the right environment. I left Dr. Jacobsen office in far better shape than when I arrived. His many years of experience is evident in his work.

I've had four visits with Dr. Jacobsen over the past 2.5 years, the first after the removal of 1/3 of my bottom lip from skin cancer, and the last for a biopsy of possible skin cancer on my nose. Each time, he has treated me with kindness and respect, and also had a level of confidence that made me feel relaxed with whatever he thought best for the particular problem. Thus far, the results have proven him correct. He has quickly become my go-to for any problem or condition that may create a cosmetic "issue". His office and staff make you feel welcomed and comfortable, and he promptly and generously responds to questions or concerns by email. One visit and you'll find these things out yourself.

Dr. Jacobsen treated my husband for several horrific pressure ulcers that no other doctors could handle. I truly believe that he saved his life. He responds quickly to emails & voice mail messages.

Dr. Jacobsen is the best in the area! I walked in very self conscious and left feeling like a new person. After dealing with a re-occurring cyst for over 15 years, and improper procedures, it has finally been resolved! Great doctor, staff, and location! Thanks Dr. J!

I'm having a hard time with this because, I can't say enough good things about this office! Dr. Jacobsen is an amazing surgeon. He is always available, for any questions or concern. His staff go way beyond any other office I have seen. They are more than helpful with insurance, appointments, or any issue or questions. The office is both beautiful, and comfy. Like I said can't say enough.

The staff is amazing and Dr. Jacobsen did such an amazing job on my breast reduction. They look better then I dreamed, and the head aches and back pain are gone!

Took my daughter (21 yrs) here for a consult to have a reduction. He didn't do any medical history or background in the appointment. He didn't ask any relevant questions, nor did he "investigate" the situation with her to see if it was anything he might even advise against. His main statement was, "if you want it, I'll do it. You just have to pay for it. I don't care really, just tell me what you want, and I'll make sure you get it. " I was asked to come along to make sure that all the questions were asked and answered. When I brought up questions that she wanted answers to, he acted as if I was bothering him and had no rights to the conversation, even though my daughter asked me to come. His answers were half answered and acted as if we were bothering him by being there and our concerns were frivolous or invalid.

During the consult it came out that we were working towards a medically covered procedure. At which point, Dr J became somewhat dismissive. Weeks later she receive a call that the insurance denied the first submission. This is not an uncommon practice. After which, we called the insurance to discuss why this happened and they said that they didn't have any real valid reason and that they were sure with a peer-to-peer with the doctor, it would most likely be accepted. My daughter then spent the next week (or so) trying to get in touch with someone from his office, to no avail. I then reached out and left a message stating that we requested a conversation with someone to discuss what we learned. Later that day Dr J called back and spent the better part of a 15 minute conversation speaking over us and dismissing every part of our concerns. He was belittling and curt. He kept speaking as if we did not do our homework and acting as if we had no clue to what we were saying. Finally given the opportunity to speak, we told him that we have all the required paperwork and that all we need is help with a peer-to-peer. At this point, he became all but aggressive in his demeanor and even more abrasive. To which, I deliberately asked, "are you saying that you won't assist us with this? " He never clearly answered and fumbled with more dismissive and rude behavior. It was then, that we just stated that we were going to go somewhere else. Without so much as a "bye" he disconnected the call.

I suppose if you can shell out the thousands of dollars that he charges, he is fine. But when a medically necessary procedure is requested and he has to be bothered with helping, he may not be your guy. We have now found someone who provided a polar opposite experience. If you are looking for someone who cares and advocates for his patients, I'm not sure this is your guy.

Dr Jacobsen and his staff are absolutely WONDERFUL! We took our 14 year old daughter there to have a cyst removed above her lip. From the moment we walked in to his office his staff made us feel welcome. Dr Jacobsen is so warm and extremely kind. He made not only my 14 year old daughter feel comfortable he also was lovely with my 9 year old daughter that had to come with us to the appointment. He was extremely knowledgable about the cyst and how to remove it. Especially since it was on her face. From the exam to the actual surgery (in which he made my daughter feel extremely comfortable and safe) to the after care he was awesome! Not to mention his office is lovely and filled with a lifetime of beautiful books. We looked forward to visiting his office just so we could sit and flip through his amazing collection of fashion, makeup, and Hollywood type books. Look no further. Dr Jacobsen is absolutely amazing! They just don't make Dr's like this anymore! 5 stars!

Awful, awful, awful. If I could rate lower I would. Completely dismissive, the office was unresponsive in my multiple attempts to contact them back with the necessary information, and when they finally contacted me back Dr. Jacobsen was incredibly rude and told me my concerns surrounding the procedure I was about to have done were a waste of his time. Went to a different surgeon.
