The staff and office are all so lovely! It’s a great environment to be in. I can’t wait to deliver here!

My daughter had her 3rd baby at Willow less than 2 months ago. It was the best experience I have ever witnessed. I went with her to several appointments and each midwife was warm and caring. They listened to every concern my daughter had and gave her every resource for a healthy pregnancy. At delivery, her midwife was calm and reassuring. She even participated in all the positivity mantras that we had posted all over the room. After delivery and into postpartum, they have been wonderful. They came to the house to check on mom and baby, plus sent a meal!
I wish that I could have had such a wonderful birthing experience!
Thank you Willow!

I wish more people knew about Willow! I was a VBAC mama looking for a change from my first hospital birth experience, and I am SO glad that I chose Willow. The midwives were all so positive during each of my prenatal visits and constantly made me feel strong and capable of birth, never making me doubt myself or my decision. My labor and birth at the center was exactly what I had hoped it would be and I felt so safe there throughout it. My only regret is that I didn’t use Willow the first time! If you are looking for a positive and empowering birthing experience, I would highly recommend Willow any day!

Just welcomed our first baby with Willow and I have to say i absolutely loved the entire experience. I felt confident in my pregnancy/delivery and well informed on making decisions about tests, vaccines etc. It’s also really nice to have a care team that works to build a real relationship with you and your family. I had the pleasure of having Nicole and Rubyan help deliver my daughter. They offered me amazing support and made me feel extremely comfortable. I highly recommend Willow!

I do not recommend birthing through Willow. The communication is a mess entirely. The front desk people and the midwives can’t keep track of anything, they input information wrong and mix up personal client information which can be extremely dangerous. After my baby was born they mixed my charts with someone who had ppd and said I scored low, when a midwife had previously told me I scored great. They also missed that I had preeclampsia and I went anemic during labor which can be detrimental because I wound up having an emergency c section. Thankfully the hospital caught on to that and saved mine and my baby’s life. I still suffer from anemia and other Heath issues thanks to willow.

I should have left after the first few appointments when I noticed they were not writing my information down. I would constantly correct them or tell them they missed something. Most of the midwives would just laugh it off. I had a good experience with one midwife who was on top of things, but the rest of them couldn’t keep track of my basic information or communicate to save their lives.

They told me my water broke when it didn’t and gave me castor oil to speed up my labor which ended up nearly killing my baby because his lungs flooded with meconium. The tests they use should not be so inaccurate that they show your water broke when it didn’t. A whole month later, during my labor I was being put into positions that made me uncomfortable with students watching me that I had never seen or met in my life. The only positive thing I have to say is they knew when to send me to the hospital due to my babies heart rate dropping.

The lack of communication is appalling. Don’t expect them to keep track of your payments, your book rentals, or your personal information. At one point they forgot that I had lost two previous pregnancies and that’s information that is incredibly important for them to know. One midwife said they couldn’t take me if I had epilepsy, another said it was fine. They did a pelvic exam and then forgot that they did one because it wasn’t written down, so I had to have another one. It’s all just really unprofessional.

You can see multiple reviews that are similar to mine as well. It’s all about the money for them, which is disgusting because they are playing with people’s lives. Thank the lord the hospital found my anemia and preeclampsia because that potentially could have killed me. I don’t recommend this place to anyone and I wish I could remember the name of the one midwife who was actually good at her job and always took the time to listen and fix the incorrect or missing information they would input.

I had such a great birth experience here. Everyone was great and respectful of my wishes. I really liked the informed consent approach they have. My husband was on the fence about a birth center birth at the beginning but after our experience here that has changed. I would definitely come back and recommend to any pregnant mamas!

I had my son here in 2021 and it was by far the best experience I’ve ever had out of my 4 children. I have gone since then for womens checkups and well visits. The team is great and I’ve had no disappointments. Thanks Willow!

I absolutely love Willow! I previously had my other 3 children with another midwife group that delivered at the hospital. My sister had heard amazing things and had recommended Willow because I was really wanting to have a water birth. I wish I would have had all my children at this birth center. Within only a couple of appointments it truly felt like I was going to see friends. They made my entire experience so warm and inviting. I’m truly sad to have just had my 6 week appointment knowing this was my last pregnancy. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. You will feel so empowered, loved, and cared for throughout and after your pregnancy. I will always cherish my experience with these amazing women. Thank you to each and everyone of you for bringing my sweet girl into this world with me.

My husband and I moved from Chicago to Phoenix and being 28 weeks pregnant I had to find where I’d get care and where I would have my baby girl. I found Willow online and I am so glad I did! I had the most amazing experience giving birth at Willow, they were awesome and caring every step of the way! The care I received during the prenatal and postpartum periods exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend to all mommas!

Although my experience with the front staff was good they lack on communication. They tricked me to schedule a “Telehealth” appt to give me lab results then billed my insurance for less than 3 mins call they named it “Telehealth”. It’s just their new way to get as much money as they can either from you or your insurance it’s just BS. I wish I knew that before I went but I will never go back to this place. Don’t go.

I began my prenatal appointments at my OBGYN and planned for a hospital birth because I automatically thought I would want an epidural. I wasn’t happy with my doctors lack of care and decided to explore the birth center idea. I had my first prenatal appointment at Willow 20 weeks pregnant I became more educated/excited about pregnancy and birth at my first appointment there than I had been at every appointment at the OBGYN. Yes, it was painful without the epidural but the midwives at Willow kept us safe and comfortable throughout labor. There is no way my OBGYN or a hospital could provide us with such a great experience to kick start our new lives and it was the best move I have ever made switching to Willow. A million thanks to all of the wonderful midwives here.

Just had my first baby at Willow a week ago and it was such an amazing magical experience. I never really imagined my birth being so intimate and beautiful. Everyone was so supportive and talked me through the whole process. I definitely felt like I was in very good hands. 10000% recommend to all mamas.

The lovely women of Willow were going to let my baby die.

The midwives were mostly absent during my labor process. It seems they couldn't be bothered to pay attention or help. The owner slept while a birth assistant fumbled around uselessly and spilled blood on my feet. When I asked if I was dilated, the girl said she “wasn’t allowed to say numbers. ” They are committed to pretending it is 1850.

While I was pushing, painfully and desperately trying to give birth to my baby, the other birth assistant was scrolling through her phone. She kept half-heartedly saying, “You’re doing great” without looking at me or touching me. The midwife continuously told me I wasn’t “trying hard enough” and I was “pushing wrong” and I “wouldn’t let her help me. ”

At one point, without warning or consent, the midwife used two fingers to try and “stretch my cervix over the baby’s head. ” This resulted in a laceration to my cervix which required stitches, along with a host of other complications that had to be treated in the hospital.

They let me push for six hours, even though I was making no progress. Even when they saw meconium in the fluid, a clear sign that my baby was in distress, they continued to say that there was “no medical reason” to send me to the hospital. I finally said enough was enough, and they called 911. I had to be rushed to the hospital for an emergency c-section. The doctor said my baby had meconium in her mouth, and we were lucky that she did not breathe it into her lungs.

When I had gestational diabetes, they should have told me that a natural birth was not happening for me. When I went 12 days past my due date, they should have told me that a natural birth was not happening for me. When I was pushing for 6 hours, they should have told me that a natural birth was not happening for me.

They should have sent me to the hospital, but the greedy goblins here are only concerned about one thing - MONEY.

If you have the perfect pregnancy, your birth lasts 2 hours, and you want to pretend it is the 19th century, then this is the place for you. If you have the slightest complication or problem, then run as fast as you can away from Willow Birthing Center.

Willow is such an amazing place. I can honestly say they become family. I had my son back in 2020 and they were absolutely fantastic. Never pushing me or swaying me in any direction other than what I felt comfortable with. They listened to me and my concerns and allowed me to listen to my body without any unnecessary interventions. They provide a safe place to bring our babies into this world. But. Not only do they help us bring life into the world, they also help us tremendously when we have loss. I unfortunately lost my son due to late miscarriage in October, and they were here for us every step of the way. I can honestly say I don’t think I would have gotten through it without them. To have a place to grieve and to truly be heard and understood. It is a blessing. I would recommend them to ANYONE, whether choosing a hospital birth or at the birth center, picking Willow as my midwives was the best choice I could have made.

I had two older children, 12 and 14 years ago. I had horrible experiences with theirs births, never felt listened-to by the doctors. I knew this time around I wanted to feel supported and do things as close to 'my way' as possible. We transferred to Willow mid-way through my pregnancy. From day one, I felt like they listened to everything I needed and wanted. I had preeclampsia with both my earlier pregnancies. They gave me some great tips on how to avoid it. Because of them, I was able to skip the hospital and have the birth I truly wanted. I felt the support the entire way through labor, birth and afterwards. I am so glad I found Willow and will definitely be continuing with them, whether I have more children or not. Bonus points for the gorgeous facility too!

My husband were so pleased with our birth experience at Willow. It was the first place we checked out and from the beginning they made us feel like family.
They were always happy to answer any questions we had, didn’t make us feel rushed or bad for asking questions, and we honestly looked forward to going in for our appointments there.
Their prices were super reasonable and they offer several classes that come with the birth package to help prepare for labor, breastfeeding and what to expect after birth that were very helpful. My husband and I were grateful that they inform you of all the different things to expect but allow parents to make their own decisions on how they want their labor experience to go and care for their baby.
If you’re looking for a more personal birth experience we definitely recommend Willow!

Working with Willow is an absolute dream. We just had our 3rd baby through Willow and I don’t know how I haven’t written a review yet. Every midwife we’ve had over the years with Willow has been attentive, understanding, knowledgeable and respectful. From the evidence based methods and knowledge they provide and we’re able to trust the information they provided and make a decision easily. They would always provide the studies and information via email without us even asking. The founders and owners of Willow are simply amazing. They truly put their heart and soul into Willow and to making women feel safe, supported and empowered. I love Willow and recommend them to anyone who’s expecting.

I wanted to provide a review that was as honest as possible.
Throughout my pregnancy, I loved coming to Willow and appreciated the care from all of the midwives. It is a caring environment and I was excited to give birth here.
However, the end of my pregnancy left a bad taste in my mouth and unfortunately, I would not return to Willow or recommend it to anyone, especially a first time mom.
At week 40, I learned that my baby was in breech position at my Willow appointment with Jana.
It was my first full term pregnancy and I couldn’t differentiate my son’s position in my belly. I just knew his regular movements. I am 98% sure that my baby did not move position from weeks 36-40. But every week a midwife had felt my belly or looked at me with an ultrasound. It is a little surprising to me that none of those midwives were able to tell he was a breech position, except for Jana, even with an ultrasound available. Because he was so big at week 40, I could not find a doctor that would do an ECV and my baby did not flip on his own.
I had to have a c-section at the hospital which was the total opposite of what I wanted for my birthing experience. I am glad it all worked out and we are both healthy and okay but I am disappointed that I didn’t even get the chance to do an ECV because no one could tell he was in breech until the last minute. Had I not seen Jana for that appointment, I’m sure that it would have turned into an emergency situation at Willow when I did go into labor.

In addition, earlier in the pregnancy I was told I could self-pay for a genetics screening to which I agreed. But the screening was then charged to my insurance and I ended up paying $670 rather than the self pay amount of $100 and it could not be reversed.

I am sad that I am leaving this review because I did receive good care at Willow especially from Jana and Pam, who I found to be most knowledgeable and caring. I am especially thankful to Jana for finding me another doctor last minute (Dr. Hervey at Banner Desert, who was amazing) because I was already under so much stress at that time. But I guess since it is a place for low-risk pregnancies, they may not be as skilled at identifying high-risk situations early on.
