Yavapai Point Trailhead reviews
4Great hike with beautiful views of Lake Pleasant. Keep an eye out for rattlesnakes on the trail. Wildflowers were beautiful and abundant in early April. Amenities included picnic pavilions with great views of the lake, paved parking, and restrooms with flush toilets, sinks, and soap. A great place to spend a day when the weather is nice or visit while camping in the area.
There was a Sunday Desert Run on the day I went but still as narrow as some sections are it was still enjoyable. All the wildflowers were amazing
I really like the trail, although if you are coming from Phoenix, the exit 223 is closed, so make sure to take the 303 and exit in lake pleasant.
Other than that Its a nice traild perfect for kids and dogs.
I celebrated my birthday there. Perfect picnic area and restroom available.
Note: keep the trail clean, don't leave trace
This is a relatively new trail, however it is absolutely gorgeous once you get to the top. A couple of benches on the trail, one being at the top. The trail is pretty moderate until you get to the switchbacks, even then it's not too bad. There are a lot of loose large rocks so be careful and wear good shoes. Also, wild donkeys!
