Yugo Flagstaff Central reviews
17 I have lived here for two years and ever since yugo took over - the quality has dropped. I never see cleaning staff any more and it is evident in the way the halls, stairwells, and other entrances are treated.
Multiple people have to complain for things to be clean, and despite the MILLIONS I'm sure you make off of your residences - you refuse to install cameras and actually discipline tenets.
In summary: If you expect us to keep our apartments to a certain standard, I expect YOU to keep the rest of the building clean as well (including halls, stairwells, trash chutes, and side entrances).
A bit embarrassing, but but I had an emergency with my toilet. Somehow baby wipes (I don't even own those!) clogged up the toilet six feet down from my apartment and sent up sewage into my bowl. One of the maintenance guys clocked in on his day off and worked to fix it for me. Absolutely incredible help and made this place the best serviced apartment complex I've ever been in. You guys are rock stars!
This is a great place. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. I love their efficiency. Great amenities. Cool view. Good stuff!
When will the parking garage gate be fixed? The Hot Tub and Gym leak free and operational? Parking garage cleaned and homeless people living inside removed? It has been broken for over a year now - I understand these things take time but what fix realistically takes over a year? Is this sacrifice in safety and convenience acceptable to Yugo? Residents that have paid a ridiculous extra premium for parking should not have to fight for space against homeless people living in the once locked garage. Despite having a full staff, the property seemingly has trash everywhere and there is dog mess at every one of the amenities - seriously go look right now! I understand sourcing staff is tough in Flagstaff, but letting resident work orders go unaddressed for nearly half a year is simply unacceptable. The way you treat people matters.
No matter how many fake 5 star reviews members of the staff leave, the neglect of care and living conditions in the building is obvious to residents. This building is put together with string and glue…. And it’s starting to show - Please don’t live here.
This is a decent place to live if you’re a student looking for something off campus but still close. The apartment is very modern and new. Biggest issues: parking was awful with additions of nearby businesses but having a parking pass makes it way easier. Trash was not taken out often, so the room would be overflowing when I went to take it out. Walls are super thin, you can hear everything. Electricity fees were all over the place, especially in the winter. Understandably, the heat gets used more but even during other months we paid $80-100 each. The office staff is helpful and sweet, but tend to miss calls often. Maintenance was also pretty quick which was helpful. Overall, it’s okay.
Thy have made living here incredibly difficult. I have been trying to communicate about changing my living situation and they claim "they have no records of my request". Make sure you get everything in writing because they purposely make communication difficult. Besides that the hot tub is always broken, they scam us on utilities (this winter it was $100 just for electricity). Also the walls are very thin and the hallways always smell like cigarettes and have trash in them. Not to mention this past winter a homeless man would live in one of the hallways and stay there for days at a time.
Don’t bother replying asking me to reach out because I have multiple times… no response. Amenities still closed. You get a noise complaint for talking too loud in the room that you pay $1000 a month for and yugo has nothing to say about it. Your management team is brutal, the only people that are good at their job there are the people working at the front desk.
The internet here blocks BBLearn, making it impossible for anyone here that goes to college at NAU to do homework on the wifi. I assume they have some sort of automated blocker that blocks a site that gets to many requests. Nice job saving on money and making your wifi useless to work on for like 99% of your residents.
Hayley, Zak, Lana, and all the new staff are doing an amazing job of addressing all the issues Uncommon left behind.
It’s starting to seem like a safer community for the younger students especially - the hallways don’t reek of marijuana anymore, everything is so much cleaner, and Yugo plans SO many events now to meet friends/roommates.
As an older student I don’t really attend the events, but I hope we get more graduate students in the building as long as everyone is matched appropriately here out. And I trust new management to do that just fine.
The cardio machines in the gym have Netflix. Just a small detail that helps me stay motivated and let out the stress of courses. At least the gym never closes. And there are security cameras in there.
Living here at the Uncommons is great. The location is good because everything is close and within walking distance.
Great study lounge. The parking is a big issue. They were all out of parking and charge a lot. I was unable to bring my car up this year due to lack of parking availability. The price is also increasing for the next leasing contract.
I love my little room that i have.it’s cute and very nicely set up.very accommodating to pets.the only thing i’d say is the parking lot is a little complicated and i wish there were a few more parking spots for visitors.i don’t have a car so people who visit me sometimes have to park somewhere else and walk.other than that and the price, i really enjoy it
Pros: Close to campus, parking garage is good, privacy of my apartment is good. Gym is amazing.
Cons: frequent fire alarms, bad stenches in the hallway
So far I've been living her for a few months and in my experience this apartment complex is the best I've lived in for my entire college life. Mainly the facilities are all clean and organized as well as having a wonderful collection of amenities for residents. I've taken off a star mainly because the hot tub has been broken for a while without being fixed or much update on progress.
Poorly put together apartment building. Always creaking despite being new. Hot tub is nice and gym is decent
Very close to the school! So many good places to eat and explore around the apartment. There could be more effort with keeping the hall carpets, staircases, and elevators more clean but overall a good place to live. Staff/management can be helpful when you talk to the right people.
Close to NAU and downtown. Not bad, it’s a place to sleep! Good if you like walking and biking.
